They are charging me over $500 worth of damages that were already done before I drove off the lot and was confirmed before the uhaul employee went inside. They charged me for a $25cleaning fee when I returned the truck how they gave it to me. They also charged me a $20 after hours fee but I returned the vehicle back after a couple hours when I had up until the next day to return the vehicle. I have been a customer for a long time and I have never returned a vehicle damaged or dirty or over full of fuel as the contract says. Here's my problem. I needed to rent a pick up truck and trailer for a motorcycle and my card is a direct express card for my pension and social security deposit. I don't have a different card to use. But you say that I can not rent a pick up for the move but I can a box truck. Problem is I can't see my 35 thousand dollars investment in a box truck and I have to see if it's still strapped. Please fix that problem so I don't have to find a different way to move my thing's and I can stay a customer. Other wise I have to give my money to someone else.CHRISTOPHER P.

The reason I would not recommend this location is because they charged my debit card twice. When I called them to let them know and ask them to refund me. They acted like it was no big deal that they charged me twice and the rep that I spoke to acted frustrated when I asked for her name and her managers name. I also asked for them to call me back to confirm that they refunded my money, she also acted like that was too much to ask. It's now the end of the day and of course I have not heard back from them. You have two different types of tow dolly's, one older style and one newer style. The young man ignored me when I asked for the newer style. The nice lady switched me, but I had to hitch it up myself, check the lights, etc. myself because he ignored me. Not a good location.OWEN BRUCE R.

Buyer Beware! Please do future customers right and be upfront about all the fees. I reached out to U-Haul after an issue with PODS. In speaking to the representative, it seemed as if U-Haul would be less expensive. Not the case, because U-Haul hid the fees. On February 20, 2021, I was charged for the monthly storage fees for my two boxes. But wait, the boxes aren't even in Michigan, they are on their way to the state I live in, for which I had to pay the $1900 transportation fee. I still get charged the monthly storage fee because the boxes are still in my possession and can't be rented out. I say, they are picking them up in March 8, do I get a refund for the 12 days they are not being used? No, we don't have the ability to retro payments. They call me to schedule delivery and collect another $116 to transport the boxes from their storage facility in my new state to my house. $230.00 for the February to March storage fee, of which twelve days they are back in U-Haul's possession, but I don't get a refund. $1900 to transport them from Michigan, plus another $116 to transport from their facility to my house. $2150 in one month to deliver two boxes. I realize this may not seem like a lot, but in the initial contact I was led to believe that the whole thing would only run me about $2000. Please just be aware that there are additional fees that they were not disclosed. People I dealt with were very pleasant, was unaware of all the charges.Kimberly D.

Turning in the truck was just crazy. I gave your website permission to access my location to verify that I was at the correct turn in location. I was then instructed to go to the front entrance sliding doors. I was instructed to scan the barcode to the right of the sliding door. Their was no barcode. This was so frustrating. You should instruct the customer to take pictures of the truck next to a known object on the premises. That way you would have good verification that the renter actually turned the truck into the correct location. If the customer dropped the key at the correct location, why would you need any verification? Just wasted time and unnecessary tasks.Mark F.

Good price and storage/ moving options but there was a LOT of miscommunication with the representatives multiple times. At multiple locations. I was told the card on file would not be charged until after drop off considering that the total amount is unknown until that time. That was not the case. The card was charged a holding fee â€œestimateâ€. Which worked out and wasn't a big deal because the total was less than the holding amount but I still found that I was lied to and it was inappropriate considering my intent was to pay cash.Aaron A.

I cleaned out my unit after my monthly payment had been auto-deducted five days previously. When I tried to call and ask if I would be getting any of that money back, having only used the unit five days of that month, I could never get anyone to answer the phone. I tried four times. So I drove over there, and asked the staff member on duty. There was no smile, nothing welcoming at all, just a flat, “No we don’t prorate.” That was it.
