We returned the vehicle after hours. We called the next day to verify that everything was returned correctly and to report that the amount of gas that we put in matched what we were given and not what the incorrect receipt stated. We also reported the tire issue again and the lack of printed receipt. Agent could have cared less. I later learned we were charged $29 for 1 mile overage. ONE MILE! Talk about nitpicking. We returned it on time, completely clean and in perfect shape with all blankets that were rented folded in the back. We stressed that warning light all day and were charged for a ridiculous one mile overage. Will never use UHaul again!

Call center rep James transferred my reservation here because the Sandy Bottom Road dealer closed without notice when I arrived to get the trailer. U-Haul's West Greenwich location is a clean facility with excellent customer service and a wide selection of equipment and supplies. You can count on prompt assistance from the U-Haul customer service team when unforeseen circumstances arise.

Had a good experience at this Uhaul location. The Manager Curtis was always available and super helpful. I did business with them for 3 years between (long distance move) truck rentals and storage. Every interaction was easy and straightforward. Storage unit was clean and I felt safe with my belongings there. I would highly recommend this location.

Truck was almost new and very clean. Some things that would make the trip much easier for future movers: Apple car play for navigation and brighter headlights. It was very difficult to see the road lines at night. Yes I understand the driver geometry and observation angle is different for trucks, but it was really hard to see the road.

Easy process picking up an dropping off

Pick up and drop off process was the worst I’ve experienced in anything. You have an app for after hours drop off but are located in an area with no cell coverage and you provide “WiFi” that doesn’t work. You procedure takes too long, isn’t specific, and requires downloading several pictures in an area with zero bandwidth. Your check in procedure required an absurd requirement to provide either a passport, rental lease or contact, that you would call at that point to verify identity??? Who carries a passport for a local truck rental? I own, don’t lease….and do a lot of people carry their rental agreement with them? And at 6am, you think I’m going to provide you with the number of someone to call? It’s the most frustrating process I can remember, mostly because it’s both stupid (there are literally a thousand different ways to verify identity) and stupid (you require the use of tech where there is none!)

I wouldn't recommend UHaul to my worst enemy! I originally booked a 15 foot truck to move my son from the location in Tiverton which they said was available. Next I receive a phone call from them saying that they didn't have the 15 footer available and I would have to take a 20 footer to be picked up in Warren. I agreed. We were picking the truck up on Friday for a 24 hour one way rental. I called the location in Warren on Thursday afternoon and was told my 20 foot truck was there waiting for me and that I was all set for pickup the next day. Friday mid morning I received a text followed by a phone call telling me that now the only truck they had available was a 26 footer and we had to pick it up in West Greenwich because they gave my 20 footer to someone else mere hours before we were supposed to be picking up. Once again I agreed to the change because at that point we just needed a truck for the move on Saturday morning but was told I would receive a $50.00 refund and added miles to account for the different pick up location. Mind you, the one way rental was to be dropped off in Tiverton. My son picks up the truck without much trouble except for the size of the vehicle. We are now ready to return the truck and the paperwork says that it has to be returned to Fall River... at this point I had had just about enough. I contacted them again to inform them that were supposed to be dropping off in Tiverton and they wanted us to drop off in Newport. We dropped off in Tiverton. To make things worse, I didn't get the 50.00 refund, they charged me an additional 35.00 for gas and an additional fee for mileage overage because they didn't give me the additional miles for further away pickup. So, I ended up paying over 200.00 for an overnight rental that should have only cost me a little over a hundred! UHaul Sucks!!!!

All was great and smooth at this location. However, the initial reservation was booked at a different location but since it wasn’t mobile pick up, we had to rebook through the 1-800 number. In the future one shouldn’t be able to reserve a time at a location if it’s not available for pick up.

When I picked up the truck I was able to select Killingworth, CT as drop off location. However after I left U-Haul texted me and told me I had to drop truck off in Guilford,CT which was not convenient at all. I called the 800 number and checked other nearby locations but wasn’t able to drop the truck at any of them, this was very frustrating. I’m not sure I would do another one way rental based on the drop off inconvenience, I also made several calls to scheduling team who were very helpful but were ultimately unable to assist me.

Started pick-up process with mobile app and it kept coming back to additional contact even though you had already called. Went into office and they were very helpful and just completed the process there. For improvement - We've had multiple rentals and the system should recognize me and shorten the pick up process. I get confirming the driver license is still active but the additional call stuff should be a one time thing, not every rental unless you've had issues with customer.

This UHAUL facility and experience has been the best out of the two times I've needed storage in Rhode Island. Head and shoulders (and knees, and yes, even toes!) above the place in Oakland Beach, the staff in West Greenwich were kind and helpful, the facility super clean and (from what I could tell) every unit is perfectly accessible, with no need to get a ladder unless you stack things too high yourself. The pin number system for checking in and out works flawlessly, and the one time I couldn't quite remember how to do it, staff was most gracious in their efforts to help me. None of the doors here are made of plywood with screws coming out the back to get injured on, compared to that other facility. Even when I had a slight billing issue the first time my payment was due, Mr Pettit himself responded to my email and we got it straightened out immediately. Closing out my unit and canceling the trailer I didn't end up needing was an absolute breeze. I would absolutely recommend the West Greenwich UHAUL to anyone in Rhode Island who needs a storage facility. Quick to set up when I needed it, ease of access, competence and friendliness of the staff at every visit, everything was just fabulous. My only, only complaint would be about the elevator doors closing a bit too quickly. Thank you so very much for a storage rental experience par excellence!!!

The gentleman I believe his name was Dave, who helped me was very pleasant. The initial space was clean and organized. I love that they have the doors in there that you can open and see the size of the unit you will get. Once I got to my unit it was very clean smelled fresh. They leave you a lock in your unit as well as a small trash bag to take with you. I would defiantly tell family and friends to use this facility.

I enjoy this location better than Warwick and the pricing is better also. When I was checking out, the man on duty offered to help with an air conditioner I had to put in my car...I didn't expect his help. Twice we drove 4 hours to access our storage unit and forgot our keys. Both times Curt provided us with a new lock and was as helpful as he could possibly be without overstepping his role. My husband and I could not be more grateful. Always kind and courteous and going above and beyond to help customers get everything that they need. We emptied our unit now but would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone with long or short term storage needs

I originally reserved a first floor unit, if got there and it was on the second level .. stairs are involved.. so it’s not technically the 1st floor! I had to leave the truck with my belongings in it .. drive a half hour away only to pick up the truck, drive a half hour .. unload… THEN drive a half hour back!! This has to be one of the cleanest and safest facilities I’ve been in. I was able to quickly get a storage unit set up and ready for me in less than 15 minutes. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. He helped me out after having some difficulty setting up my unit online and answered all my questions. The unit was very clean and secure. The fact that everything is indoors in a temperature controlled building is perfect for me. I always worry about excessive heat or cold damaging my items. They also offer insurance on your items in case something does happen to them. The only thing that I would view as a downside is that it’s not 24 hour access. They have excellent security on site and cameras recording to ensure your items are safe, so it would be nice to go in at night if I need something immediately. Other than that I highly recommend this Uhaul for storage of any kind.

The elevators in the building need serious repairs. They are constantly breaking down and I got stuck in it for 15 minutes. The emergency buttons did not connect to anywhere in the office nor did it connect to the fire department. The inspection certificate for the elevators are not current. For an elderly woman with severe anxiety, being stuck in an elevator with no help makes for a very bad experience. Also the units do not have lighting.

The elevator set up is poorly designed. Storage is on the second floor however the elevators are extremely small. They close way too quickly especially for moving large items. These elevators should be larger than a regular elevator to move people considering its for moving larger items in and out of a storage unit. Freight style elevators would be much better for a storage facility
