The customer service left a lot to be desired and the truck was horrible! Very loud and rough as if it was on it's last legs. I returned the vehicle and followed the instructions that are listed outside to wait there and finally I decided to go inside to find 2 employees just hanging out chatting and they tell me that the sign was old. I could of been waiting for hours! So not cool. They have cameras all over there and they didn't acknowledge me at all.Maria D.

I was told by the manager of this store that I could drop my U-Haul off at any location in Lockport, NY. I found this odd so I called U-Haul to confirm and this was not true! I could have been charged a fee if I had listened to her. Not happy!!DONALDD II H.
Tell your employees to get off their cell phone while they are helping customers. It took 20 for the lady to come up front and get me my truck. Then when she was doing my paper work for the rental she was on Instagram the entire time not paying attention. My truck has nails, a cigarette butt, and a bloody used bandaid.Derrick V.

I had no issue with the location itself. However, I reserved a trailer from the Victor location. When I arrived at Victor, I was informed I had to go to the Irondequoit location. (1/2 hr) in opposite direction. I could not return the trailer to Victor, had to bring it back to Irondequoit. In total two extra hours of travel. The trailer itself was dirty. I had to purchase extra tarps to protect furniture and swept it out before I used it. Two running lights did not work and an interior tie down was missing therefore, one of my items shifted due to I couldn't secure it. Other than that, plug and hitch was fine and tires had air in them.James A.

The facility is great and able to be accessed easily. the first unit had a strange post inconveniently dissecting the space making it not good for large furniture. we discovered this only when we got there fully ready to unload. I was booked for a storage and when I got there I was told there wasn’t any available. When I called the next day the girl told me she would put me through to a manager said it was going to be a direct transfer and I was on hold for another 30 min. Very unprofessional. I rented a van because it was a rainy day and it was not available at the pick-up. I received a truck, instead. My moving stuffs got wet because of that. To self pick-up the vehicle, I was asked to provide a lot of information through the app, however, at the end, I needed to go to an U-Haul location and ask for support, some error occurred. The truck/van had a needs oil change on dash, the truck was dirty when I picked it up. There was spilled drinks all on the floor and were sticky. I rented a van that was suppose to fit a carpet that I had to pick up and bc of the added grate that was in the van it wouldn't fit. I wish I was told about this gate/divider before renting it. Also when I picked up the truck, the employees all left the building. A customer and I waited inside for at least 20 mins before I went outside and asked the girl that was on a cigarette break to come help us. She said there are employees inside. I told her there was no one in there and I really can't wait anymore. She came in to help me by handing me a key. That's all I needed. I was on a deadline and I felt like they did anything to make it harder to simply pick up a truck. I've used U-Haul many times and recommend it to everyone. But I know at times if busy things can take time, but that is not the case here.Kerry J.

man working was rude, not only to me but the 9 month pregnant lady before me. i got there at 11:30am, he had a panic attack and threatened to kill himself then locked himself in an office. cops came, ambulance came. couldn’t get my truck until past 2 waited for HOURS, lost $200 from my movers because they were paid hourly and there wasn’t anything i could about that. was charged twice by uhaul for the truck. man was calling me a dumb b**** under his breath, i was so SO understanding that he was having a bad day, i asked “hey are you okay, why are you acting like this are you having a bad day” and his response was “ WOULD YOU WANT TO BE WORKING AT UHAUL??” if you don’t want to work here and it makes you THAT MISERABLE that you have to disrespect customers especially a 9 month pregnant woman then simply don’t, clearly it’s not good for your mental health and there are mannnny entry level jobs hiring right now. I understand hurt people hurt people and if he was just like yeah today sucked i could have been so nice and understanding but i told him i ordered mats and he’s claiming i didn’t while i have the receipt right in my hand then mumbling dumb b**** under his breath i completely lost it, i refuse to be called that nor will i stand for that as a woman. i need my multiple charges refunded and will keep showing up until they are. this is completely ridiculous. I had to take my DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ANXIETY MEDICINE THAT IS IN MY NAME FOR PANIC ATTACKS then he’s calling me a pill popper? Nahhhhhh you got the wrong one. Rented the 6x12 trailer to pick up a 60" mower I was purchasing not realizing that the gate is only 54" wide and the mower wouldn't fit on. Spent money and gas renting and was not able to use. I know covid affect alot of customer service but there needs to be a balance between the two. In area where there is several locations you want your service to rise up above the others. After hours service was alot to do. The alternative was a cost of $20 that's not acceptable . Upsetting that the pre-booked truck took upwards of 45 minutes to get situated. Finally got the keys to a truck. A truck that didn't match my reservation email, with less than 1/4 tank of gas! It's clean, well lit, and Shaun was great to work with - but the unit is not secure. Anyone who has ever rented there knows they can just walk in through the front center doors (which automatically open for anyone passing by) and choose which unit they wish to break into. They then can walk back outside and disarm that unit allowing them to go back in and pick the lock (which is not difficult) or cut the latch and remove the lock altogether (which happened to me in a previous storage unit).
