Needed truck, the Rosamond outlet was open per Net when checked Friday and made on-line reservation, then Saturday it was no-show, and use of web site for ALL of U-haul was terrible. Younger son, who lives by on-line, was having too much trouble. We needed truck. I thought of this AVE J spot. But had too much trouble using web site to find them. So opted to just drove there. Worked around in person their reservations to find truck available. Had us out door in 10 minutes. Truck fuel was EMPTY, so first stop was gas. At very high gas prices, filled truck about 1/2 (16 gallons). Finished our run, maybe 45 miles, returned truck. Still had 1/2 tank, good economy, but $60 lost gas, next renter gets bargain. Drop off was smooth. So, desperately needed truck, they took care of us. We overspent gas, but it was an emergency. I would definitely recommend and visit again if needed. People just nice. Felt like this was a business, not a hobby.RODNEY B.

ignition key would not turn--told to giggle it-recipe for being stuck somewhere-got a differnt truck; taking pictures of my license-should have explained first--how did I know it wasn't personal--challenged it was then explained; cold and indiffent attitude by staff , the reservation was wrong from what I asked for and quoted; temporary seat cover rolled up under you-- uncomfortable;ERVIN W.

(1) My family received several emails regarding the lock not being on the unit properly but we each live hour and a half to two hours away; having no recourse with a situation like that was stressful because of the protection of our things. I was told by the representative that the UHaul truck I rented was not a one way and that I would have to return it to the same location. She said there were no available one-way trucks in the Antelope Valley. This was very inconvenient. I moved from Lancaster, Ca to Thousand Palms, 140 miles one way. I was charged $1.09 per mile, and had to drive the truck twice the distance than I had planned to because I wasn't allowed to drop the truck off at a UHaul place near Thousand Palms, plus spent $170 in gas and an extra 3 hours out of my day to drive the truck back to Lancaster from Palm Desert. Also, the truck was dirty on the outside, with med caked on the fenders and the fan didn't work properly for the AC. I rated it Yes because the inside was clean. I would recommend the location to a friend mainly because it's conveniently located. Overall, I was pretty disappointed.Julia C.

Be more customer-service friendly. I had an issue with the app (another story for another survey) and was pretty much told to log on/off again. It still didn't work and I therefore ignored it. Also, when I book a dolly, I expect to have a dolly. I do not expect to be told when I arrive that there are no more dollies. If I book one, I expect to have one. Period. the service was great but sadly they did not look over the trailer...it was missing safety chains to hold the car down..and we did have to replace two tires on the trip ..I think these places need to check tires better because we did have one blow out and when the road side guy showed up he did bring two tires and good thing as we checked the other front tire is was already coming apart so he did fix it as well...so maybe better checks at the dealers?? other then that it was nice..David C.

Unfortunately the homeless found the rear of the unit unlocked and must of spent the night in the back of the unit. Leaving behind his cigarettes / lighter and remaining box lunch, wasn't bad but wasn't clean nor was there a knock on the back of the unit.PHILLIP C.

The truck was not clean. It had unmarked damage prior to pickup.and the previous renter has been smoking weed in the truck so you couldn't drive with the windows up. I only drove 4 miles total and when I pulled up to return it and hour later the young lady who checked me in could still smell it.LUVICTORIA F.

As par for the course, Uhaul has again jacked up every plan I had scheduled for moving. I scheduled a solid week prior to pick up and the day before I was to take off of work & travel 5 hours to pick up the truck, you called to say that not only did you NOT have the size truck I needed, but what you did have was not available until 10 1/2 hrs later. Mind you I already had movers scheduled for my loading and unloading. I had rented a car from NCal to SCal to pick it up, had to BEG the movers to reschedule for that evening and then of course we couldn't even get all my stuff in the truck because it WAS NOT THE SIZE I ORDERED! Because I already had movers scheduled to unload me at 9am the following morning, I had to drive through the night to make that schedule, I got home at 3:30 am back up at 8 to make that schedule work. So needless to say, I have to rent another flipping truck, take time off of work again to pick up the rest of my stuff because this company is incompetent. Never again. I will use another company going forward, I will NEVER use UHaul again. And if you look under Yelp for Uhaul in Henderson NV, you'll find my last horrendous experience with Uhaul. And they do not care if you waste your money or are inconvenienced in the least little bit. Guy at Uhaul flippantly saidâ€¦ â€œI hope it all fitsâ€ . Unbelievable.Deanna C.

The person I spoke to at the rental office told me there were no spaces available and could not tell me when spaces might become available. There was no lock had to go to the office. The customer service reps were very helpful I had trouble getting in with the passcode. Hours of operation should be extended 1-hour(8pm PST). The security system only allows the small door to open when the key gets swiped making it inconvenient to get big furniture through. The staff and the facilities were above exceptional for my use. My only negative feedback is that I would hope you could staff more associates to be checking people through the line. I had a medical emergency with my mother and for the first time in my life had to express to the other customers in line I needed to be served right away and get my 91 year old mother to her sr appt. several actually said I had no problem with you going next and I thanked all of them for allowing me to do so.
