Original order was for the Frisco/prosper location and they didn’t have my trailer available so they canceled the reservation #23005773 and booked me up the road to Mckinney contract #9121402 and Was told when I arrived they should have given me a credit for not having my equipment available for the time I booked it for. Lady was not nice at the counter in prosper and just pushed me off to another location and didn’t even apologize for my inconvenience. I willl not return to Frisco/ prosper location. Mckinney west location were awesome! I will return to them even though it’s 5 miles further.

The trailer was old and worn out. However, it was functional.

Online info was not complete. Lighting harness options were missing. The assumption was it was included since the option to add was not available. Found out after install it was incorrect. Hitch was installed under the bumper instead of through the bumper like it should. No warnings or Indo providwd ahead of time to let you know it would not be installed correctly through the bumper. So time wasted sitting waiting for the install. I have to go back to have it done the right way. AND I have to eat the install cost for the wrong one when UHAUL failed to disclose proper information so that the customer could choose the right option. Even when you go to the website, my make and model vehicle is shown with it CORRECTLY installed. Not how mine ended up being installed.

Online scheduling is not aligned with staffing. Getting this hitch installed resulted in three trips to two different uhaul facilities, two calls to uhaul customer service, being charged twice, and being sold something I didn't order on the original contract. Very frustrated with uhaul, will NOT recommend.

The only issue I had was the dolly that comes with the truck was not properly secured and it came loose while driving the truck breaking the green seal strap. I did not use the dolly and the store did not change me for it just because it came loose.

I had the best experience I have ever had dealing with U-haul today. Your representative Brian Bradley was fantastic, from the minute I walked in the store he was friendly, professional, outgoing and a true pleasure to do business with. When I returned the truck he met me outside to ask how everything went and again was a pleasure to work with. I have just moved to McKinney TX from the Chicago area and had planned to rent a storage locker at a place just down the street from my house but because of the level of service I received today from Brian, I'll rent the locker from his U-haul location. I appreciate all you guys do. In the future I would spec the trucks with USB so I can plug my cell phone in without having to use an adapter. The ford pickup I used did not have one.

Way too expensive. For what I needed to do, I would have been better off renting a Minivan from Enterprise with unlimited mileage. I drove the Van for about 4 hours for a total of 100ish miles and paid $99. So, in the future I will be looking at an alternative to U-Haul. Thanks.

ONLY Rent vehicles that everything works on! We rented a 26 Foot Truck that we drove home to load up and later after loading found out the Air Conditioner didn't work! Had to drive 18 miles down the highway with windows down to cool of on the hottest day of the YEAR! I was not pleased, when I asked the representative about it, he didn't seem to be concerned in the least. The only problem I have had now, and in the past at this location is the back-up of trailers and trucks right in the front. It is such a small space. It not only blocks the minimal parking spots, but then you are trapped in when dropping off. There is TONS of room in the back. I would suggest during working hours making a drop-off spot somehow in the back just to help with the flow of business and traffic that accumulates in the front.

The truck I reserved for 10AM was allegedly returned to another store. The manager didn't really seem to care that we were on a time line and had the move planned out. He said we could come back at 2 and he should have something. I said I would call to check first. Of course I waited on hold for an eternity before deciding to just go to the store. Had to wait in a long line again. Had to manually get the truck rented. No offer from store to compensate me for not having the truck as I had reserved. Employee did reduce mileage price by 20 cents but only after I mentioned it. I figured I should get the Sunday mileage price since most of the move would be on Sunday since getting my truck was 5 hours late. Then I received the text message to log damage. Of course that didn't work right so had to go back inside and wait in a long line again. Employee came out and we did it the old school way. The gas on the sheet showed over an eighth of a tank more than what the gas gauge did. I didn't say anything at that point because it would involve me having to go in and wait in a long line for the 4th time that day and I was already 5 and a half hours behind schedule. I returned the truck 25 miles over my estimated 35 miles due to having to change my route up a bit to meet other time schedules. I also returned the truck with the quarter of a tank of gas it originally had. The check-in guy squeezed me for an additional 7 or 8 dollars (3 gallons) in gas, after I explained to him the previous days fiasco. He billed my card. I was never offered anything to compensate me for the inconvenience they created. I was given 20 cents off after requesting it since most of the driving was done on Sunday anyways. I went into the store to complain to the manager and guess what...…? Another long line that I would have had to wait in!!! I would be willing to bet that the manager gave my truck to the three cute young ladies that were in line in front of me because I was 28 minutes late and they drove off in a 15 footer. There was also a guy in there who reserved a truck a week ago and they didn't have his either. He needed a 27 footer and they offered him a 5x9 trailer for the regular price. Again they were not sympathetic to the guys timeline much like mine. Worst experience ever with U-haul. Hopefully someone will call and make this right.

This location rented a truck to someone else under my name. This person came in to the store the day before my reservation was scheduled, changed the size of the truck, the duration of the rental, and the insurance coverage. Even with all of these red flags that maybe this person is not the correct person, the cashier - Shelbie - did not check their driver's license, because my number is on file with U-Haul. How did they know that I had a reservation scheduled, and that they may be able to take it? Who knows. I do not have a common last name, so it's not like they said "reservation under Smith." The explanations by the cashier made no sense, although she eventually did admit that it was her fault she didn't check the license - which should be standard practice. When I arrived to pickup my truck the next day, the only thing they could do was "wait and see" if the other truck was returned. I was assured the GM Kevin was informed and had put an error message on the account so that my card would not be able to be charged when the incorrectly rented truck was returned or if it was late/not returned. Big surprise time - the truck was not returned on time, and I received a call from the GM Kevin that my truck was late and he's going to go ahead and charge my card for an extra day. He apparently had no clue/recall of this glaring issue. Once re-explaining the issue, he then proceeded to tell me he was too busy, he needed to investigate the issue, and that he would call back. He never called back. Really solid work there. Luckily, the person did end up returning the truck the following day, and agreed to change it over to their credit card. However, they still have the rental agreement paperwork with my personal information on it (name, address, phone). This was a huge mistake, that fortunately had an ok ending. Being busy is not an excuse. As for my poor rating on the equipment, the truck I did rent was not swept clean (the guy that moved it to the front for me "swept" it with his feet), and the driver's door latch was near useless. P.S. - I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Brian Bradley. Although he did not play any part in the mistakes, he did stay in contact with me through text to provide updates. He is probably the only reason this issue was eventually resolved.

I spent 30 minutes online making a reservation so I could walk up and get my vehicle only to get to the location and wait in line another 20 minutes to go through a 15 minute reservation process after providing all the information online. A complete waste and disregard of my time. No apologies for the inconvenience from the staff. If U-Haul is going to claim to have enhanced reservations experience, it should truly make it enhanced. It felt like a bait and switch approach commonly used in car dealers to lure a customer in only to be sold something they didn’t need. I will not return to this location, will not refer any friends to it, and will do everything possible to avoid the U-Haul brand ever again.

Only one person working the counter and a line of customers. The night before my reservation date, they changed the vehicle I had reserved and when I attempted to call customer service twice was put on hold so long I just hung up. U-Haul quality and customer service is second rate compared to the other truck rental companies I have used. The U-Haul center in Mckinney was okay, but the U-Haul corporation is the K-Mart of the truck rental industry.

Every time I go to this location I wait a minimum of 30 minutes for service. It's always understaffed and very disorganized. I had to wait for over 20 minutes for them to find furniture pads that were already supposed to be in the truck.

The process when I rented the truck was basically click this link on a text and note any damage totally self guided. When I came back they checked the blinkers, break lights and examined for damage. I felt like they should have take more care on the front end if they were going to be that critical on the back end. Wiper blades would not dry the windshield.

When employee did walk around on cargo van I used he didn't tell us about the disfunctioning back door that didn't open properly. We had to go take the van to another Uhaul to have them open it up for us. Wasn't fun trying to mess with it for an hour, which put us behind on time schedule.. :( wasn't happy at all.

The original order was placed online for a pickup truck. I received a call 5 minutes after booking saying no pickups available so they changed me to a van and I specifically said i need the smaller cargo van and operator confirmed. Went next day to pick it up at north Plano location but when I arrived the mobile app indicated a 10' van where I specifically had requested a smaller cargo van. They was a cargo van sitting in the lot so I went to counter waiting over 30 minutes in line to be told they didn't have one even though there was one sitting there. They "had no keys for it". They called other locations and redirected me to West McKinney location. I went there 20 minutes and 15 miles round trip further from my destination to pickup the cargo van and had to wait another 30 minutes in line. Overall it was almost 2 hours later and wasted to simply pickup a vehicle. Service was fine an vehicle was fine but the fact that

Maybe if they don’t charge me for clean up fee because I was told that there were leaves and dirt when I returned it ( night), we didn’t haul anything with leaves, we hauled landscaping rocks, and when I got it, it wasn’t that clean, which I didn’t mine, leaves could have flown in , it’s an open equipment !!! Shelby helped me at the location when I picked it up, she was excellent, the equipment that was in the receipt wasn’t available and that’s why she gave another form / receipt, I didn’t mine. I demand to get credit. Thank you !!!!

There was a substantial wait at the facility while my rental was validated (used the online checkin). I had to take my picture, pictures of my drivers license, and supply a backup contact for validation. It would have been helpful to be able to do that in advance. I had completed all steps up to the point of picking up the truck.

The pictures that I reviewed were not of the actual condition of the vehicle. That puts the burden on the customer to not miss some dent/ding or face paying for something they are not responsible for. That is not the way to conduct business. Also, don’t make the customer sit in the vehicle to assist the return. That is not the customer’s job. Pay someone to do it for the customer. At $0.69/mile I think you can afford it.

These employees have always been extremely helpful and accommodating. I really like the fact that they have recycled boxes available. I come up here sometimes for supplies that I would normally buy at Walmart because I know I can get the boxes I need as well for free.

The only complaint is that it took quite a while for someone to help me even though I did a ride share rental which said no lines. I will say dropping off at same location was much better. Maybe the employees outside could be the ones who check ride share out instead of waiting inside.

Reserving the truck online was easy, which I appreciated. I received the confirmation call the day before the pickup date which I was told would happen. However, I received multiple calls that day (while I was at work) regarding the time and location of the pickup after it was already confirmed. I am unsure where the initial conversation was not documented to avoid unnecessary interruptions at work. Furthermore, when we picked up the truck in McKinney, we were told we'd receive $75 off our rental if we were to return the truck to Lewisville, which we happily agreed to. We were told that the corporate office would be in touch with the details. At the end of the day, we had not received a call from corporate and we were ready to return early. I called the 1-800 number and spoke to Glenda and explained the situation to her. She checked the reservation/account/ticket and told us that "they want you to return the truck to McKinney." I verified that we were asked to return the truck to Lewisville and we were offered the discount. All I needed was the address that we were to go to. She checked again and said that the discount was already applied to the account, but to return the truck to McKinney. At drop off, we were told a different story and that we should have gone to Lewisville and that we would not be receiving the discount we were promised. I am severely disappointed by the lack of communication, professionalism, and varying recommendations we were told. I doubt we will be renting from UHAUL again given that we were never given the inconsistencies of the communications.

Please have someone else working in the morning when it is very busy. There was only 1 employee at 7:30 when there was so many customers trying to rent. Even with a reservation I had to wait over an hour ( no exaggeration) to complete the transaction for a trailer that I had reserved.

I consider the experience a rip-off. Your daily rates for a cargo van are 19.95. I had the van for 6 hours and got charged double. I assume it was because my best guess for return was 4 hours. That should not effect my charge...I could have it all day for 29.95. In addition, I got charged double for the CDW. This was a scam and no one said keep it for the day it is the same. I don't know if this was just a franchisee scam or it is the Uhaul company scam. Either way it is pathetic and a deceptive trade practice. My online review will match this one!

I can in to get a moving truck for two days. manager called on second day asking why I had not returned it at noon. I said well it hadn’t been two days yet looked at my contract it said one. Day why is it this hard to get these little things right. Moving snot that fun already and when you have people calling you for this stuff makes it worse in the middle of it. The the charge was more for more days which is expected but just please listen I guess.

I originally reserved a truck and a dolley from Compass storage which is on the UHAUL website as available pickup site, this location is near my house. When I got there only found out they have truck but no Dolley or other equipment. This messed up our moving plan as we schedule a time slot for this move. We had to go to a different location to get both which cause overtime. Would UHAUL please make a note on your website to indicate Compass storage has truck only? Thanks. No complaints about the West University location. Service is good.

Manager Kevin Lindell and staff Brian were incredible in customer service. I ordered 7 pods for individual self pick up, loading and returning to the same store warehouse, followed by a week later individual pick-up from warehouse, unloading, and returning empties. These 14 total trips took their time and customer service, especially for the final pick-ups. Not only did Kevin make sure I had loaded pods available for pick up on Saturday, but he came in on Sunday to get the last 3 out of the warehouse at 9am!! I'm pretty sure this was his "day off" but he put my needs as "customer first". I hope U-Haul values these employees as much as I do.

While not a reflection on this location, I did do a reservation on line to save time. Upon arrival I ended up giving the attendant the SAME information that I had already entered on line PRIOR to picking up the trailer. The staff was very accommodating but I could tell that they had the same frustrations as I did. SUGGESTION to corporate, FIX your website.

This location was short staffed at time of pick up. Very pleasant but the wait was long. Also there was no instructions on after hour drop-off so I was a little lost. But figured it out. Good place. It all worked out. Nice equipment

The fuel level was indicated above where it was actually and took me extra 10 minutes to get this changed as I was checking the gas after the last rental I received from this location was the same marked about 1/8-1/4 go a gas tank above where it was when I received it. Then the clerk tries to just initial the paper at 7/16 when it was clearly only 3/8 of a tank so I had to go in and talk to the manager. Also bunch of scrape marks that I had to note on damage that where not marked so lucky I saw them and didn't get stuck with the damage. You really have to check your truck here or you will get screwed on $20 or so of gas

The process took to long after I had already checked in online. When we went into the store we had to watch the general manager check us in again while we had a to do list to do on our phones to finish the check in. After that they conveniently hooked up my trailer without asking if I wanted to do it on my own making me feel helpless. I understand changes in technology to improve checking in but the time it took to actually get through this was to much after checking in online just made it not worth going online.

My trailer was not clean when picked up, Brian was very nice about it and offered to clean it out, I pulled to the drive lane and he cleaned out the trailer completely to ensure all mud was out of the trailer and he was very apologetic about having to wait for them to clean it out. When dropped off I used the self checkout online it was very simple and efficient. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Great location but they need to properly staff the front desk. I have rented trailers twice in one week and I used express check in before picking up the trailer both times. Yet, both times, I had to wait as they only had one person working the front desk and most other customers did not have reservations.

As long as Brian is there I will recommend this particular U-Haul to everyone, but the minute he leaves I will never use this store. The other manager, Mr. K (I refuse to say his name) is the most rudest person I have ever met. He has no people skills at all. He knows his work and what he is doing but, he has no customer service skills. I rent from there all the time, but if I walk in and see him I leave and go rent else where. Brian will listen to what you have to say and then make sure you get what you need. Mr. K will constantly interupt you before you can get anything out trying to tell you what you need. Like I said Brian is a great guy. He is geniune concrened, polite, and very respectful. He speaks to everyone, even if its for a couple of seconds. He just makes you comfortable when you come into the store.

Fast, friendly and easy. I couldn’t have asked for better service. This was my first time using U-Haul and I loved it. Much cheaper than I thought. I was driving Miss Daisy while behind the wheel but that’s my nature. The most anxiety I had while driving was green lights. Not knowing how quickly the vehicle stops I feared the light changing to yellow and me getting shot by a red light camera. Fortunately I drove slow enough to catch all the res lights. Thanks to that staff at the McKinney West location for making things easy for me.

at my time of pickup, everyone seemed to disappear for about 20- minutes. incoming was stacking up and my truck finally arrived. It was pretty rough with the little X's all over it. Door seals/rubber door gaskets kept coming off every time i opened the doors on either side. Steering wheel was well worn. Not a good feeling. Felt like I had been lent a junker. It got the job done but you can do better.
