The only issue I had was it started raining and the wiper blades where not in good working condition, very hard to see. Other than that experience was great.Amber H.
Employee tacked on the â€œoptionalâ€ safetow coverage without asking and despite the fact I had declined it while making the reservation. Excellent. The one strange thing was that this location required two alternative contacts. I had none, because I was in upstate NY rather than our NJ home. My wife was with me, but because he needed two contacts, I gave them her number in NJ. It didn't make sense. I gave him our son's number, although our son had no idea of where I was. I understand the reasoning - they must have had a problem before - but it made no sense for this little trailer rental.Willard B.

If someone rents for 6 hours they should GET 6 hours. It took over half hour of waiting in line to pick up the truck, but I still had to have it back by 5pm to avoiding getting charged extra.Meghan H.

I was in an emergency situation, I got given a truck with a check engine light on. The truck smelled like sweat. I was told my final bill would be about $68 then my bank statement showed that they charged me 3 times , the $60 then $36, then $18....I only purchased a $5 roll of packing tape. The trailer smelled like diesel or gasoline. We were called earlier that morning and offered a free upgrade to a 6 x 12. I was glad I chose Uhaul because we ended up having to rent a 15ft truck for a week and a half due to our closing being delayed. That was only possible because of the great daily rental fee when compared to other companies. And the process both checkout and return was easy.Richard O.

Give these people the proper Equipment in checking people out. The Credit terminal at the line I was in did not work properly thus the associate had to manually type it in. These people are good, but they are frustrated with U-Haul not giving them the proper tools to do their job. DON"T Fire these people Corporate or the district they are in need to do their job so the store associates can do their Job.Neil P.

The trailer had hey in it. I was also told the truck was full of gas and to bring it back full, there was less than 3/4 full. When we dropped it off, I had to wait 45 minutes in line to be waited on because they where under staffed.john P.
The gentleman at the store had his hands full. He needs help. There were two customers that waited at least 20 minutes while the employee took care of my reservation on a very slow computer systemROGER B.
I used the check in online option. That was infuriating. I took all the time to do it on line and it seemed I repeated nearly everything at the desk. So you caused me twice the time instead of saving time???? The person who took care of me at the store was great.Scott E.

Returning equipment was so fast and East that we were really surprised...in and out in under 5 minutes...justin C.
We reserved the trailer in Ithaca, had to pick it up in Auburn. Staff was understanding of our time issue and having to drive an hour to pick up the trailer and gave us an extra day free. Only one small hiccup. Spouse picked up the trailer. He said the lights weren't checked by the staff. Realized when he got it home, one of the back lights didn't work. The next day we were headed to Syracuse so we stopped at a Uhaul in LIverpool to have it checked. Turned out it was a fuse in the truck rather than the trailer but could have been caught if they were checked. Overall, a good experience.John D.
No issues with the equip or pu (more or less-wrong truck assigned to someone else, had to change my agreement/contract, very complicated took a while but not a big deal) or dropoff, but I left my EZ Pass tag in the veh (my fault), tried calling very early next morning, on hold for almost 30 mins, finally got someone in a call center out west, couldn't connect me with the store, finally got me to the mngrs cell phone, left him a detailed msg to please call me back and let me know they recovered my EZ Pass tag. No rtrn call, tried calling back at least a half dozen times every half hour after waiting for well over 1.5 hrs, never could get a live person to pick up. Finally had to make time to drive from work to go to the store, mngr not in, frtntly the gentleman on duty found my tag under the counter. Again, my fault for forgetting it, still, bad communication issues. Glad it wasnt an emergency trying to reach someone there.Daniel H.

Well i was charged the $14 insurance twice, mileage twice, and paid $209 to use a truck for ten hours.....not counting the $30 in gas. Way more than the $130 agreed upon amount.Kathy W.

Customer service is terrible!!! Rented a trailer and was 15 minutes late returning due to a major traffic accident that delayed me for several hours. After making several attempts to call the store directly only to be placed on hold for several minutes. Finally made contact with someone at the local branch and he said I wouldn't be charged extra being that I was only going to be a few minutes late. Arrived at 7:15 and they were closed. Was billed for an entire extra day. This is ridiculous. It's not like anyone was renting the trailer after I left as they were already closed. Your wait times on the phone are unacceptable. Hire more people!!! Customer service is terrible!!!Scott H.

Auburn Uhaul has extremely poor customer service. It was even the manager who assisted us. He first off scrambled to throw his mask on when we walked in, mumbled the whole time and sped through directions, made hardly at eye contact. The cargo van smelled terrible of cigarette smoke. Got double charge because directions were unclear that we had to â€œcheck inâ€ our vehicle since we returned it after hours. It was our first time ever renting a uhaul, so this experience has made us hesitant to ever work with uhaul again. At least the Auburn location.Collin D.
