The employee that greeted me was very respectful, clean and very knowledgeable of the U-Haul equipment. He also hooked up the trailer I rented and verbally gave me proper instructions on how to properly hook the trailer, which was seamless. The same employee checked me out on my return date. Did not have my truck. Was forced to downgrade. Also had to wait an additional hour for them to rectify the situation. Never got mattress pads I ordered. Didn't not have the right quantity for moving blankets. When returning the vehicle the rep was outside socializing with his friends that were parked on the premises. I would like to do a claim about my last rental, contract no 21911874. I did my reservation to pick up the vehicle 10' Moving Van at 22 PASSAIC AVE, KEARNY 10am on Sunday 5th. But when I arrived there, in a gas station, the only vehicle available was a Cargo Van. There wasn't nobody to talk with me and provide help. I had to call to the U-Haul to know what to do. After wait, the employee said I should go to another place to pick up the right car at 141 FREEWAY DR EAST, EAST ORANGE. Meanwhile I was getting late, I was paying people per hour to help with the moving, they were waiting for me and I had to take an Uber to go to the new address. That situation was totally unacceptable and inconvenient. Besides made me very stressed and worried. I request some position about that.VANESSALUISA V.

Uhaul from NJ made my moving project become a nightmare. They couldn't find the trailer hitch for my car. The system said that the only location that had the part was in Staten Island - NY. They made me go there 2 times and pay 32 dollars in tolls plus one hour traffic for nothing! And I end up buying the trailer hitch from someone else, plus delayed my moving date in 2 days. Great! The office girl was so rude to me. I spent 2 hours I ordered the truck to calling to the U-Haul customer service to ask them tell her to give me a 26 foot truck what was reserved myself 4 days in advance. She said that doesn't trust me that I will return the truck on the same day. How it's looks into me. I have an reservation and I have to get a truck and your job is very simple to give me a key. Retrain staff. The young lady behind the counter at this location around 1:15pm has a terrible attitude and lacks key customer service skills. She needs to be fired or trained. In the meantime she should not be dealing with customers. If you have cameras I suggest you review how she engages with customers and respond accordingly.Terrence H.

I prefer the gas tank starts on full, Most the time I need to put gas in before I make my delivery. It's very inconvenient. And filling it to the starting point it tricky especially in were you can't pump your own gas.MICHAEL J.

My overall experience was great because of the amazing help , The gentleman gave when i had to call the store managers number because nothing wasn't working. He stayed on the phone and tried several attempts to get my reservation to go through. Major improvements need to be done in the scheduling department. I was bumped around from location to location and when I finally called the day prior to confirm my location I was on hold for over an hour with the most rudest woman just who constantly put me on hold without warning and hung up on me before I could confirm the location of my pick up. I called back and waited another hour to speak to a manager who was able to switch my pick up to the desired location. The morning of however we were switched back to the original location which was out of our way. We called and spoke to the same rude woman who was not helpful and again began to put me on hold without warning. The way this department is run is absolutely ridiculous. I work in hospitality and this is by far the worst customer service I have ever seen. When I brought up the fact that i was 2 minutes away from picking up the truck in the location guaranteed to us and I just got an email saying it was changed I got a response of â€œoh well, there are no trucks available in all of northern njâ€. How is it I was able to make a reservation but you're telling me there's not one truck available? Completely unacceptable and I am truly disgusted. The only pleasant experience was the man at the Uhaul facility who was extremely nice and considerate. I will never be using uhaul again and will be telling everyone I know to look elsewhere, not worth the headache or aggravation for such poor customer service.KAITLYN M.

Reps were good ( pick up & drop off ) but the 26' truck is not safe as it looks like it was in a bad accident previously, the truck is driving sideways (not straight ) and badly needs AlignmentTAREK E.
The Van's should be serviced before releasing them to customer the brakes were bad on my cargo van and the van needed a bad wheel alignment. I dont see how those things are not taking care of before providing the vehicle to the customer! I wouldnt recommend anyone to this locationDenneshia S.
