provide some personality training so the folks have smiles and greet you when you are obviously returning a u haul trailer. I had to work pretty hard just to get the manager to even acknowledge my presence. a little smile goes a long way.

The cigarette lighter/phone charger did not work in the truck and honestly, this turned into a really big deal for us. Being able to charge your phone is huge when you rely on your phone for communication during a move. Our phones died and we had no way to get in touch with our moving crew. It turned into a logistical nightmare. The truck was clean and in good condition otherwise. Disappointed and feel we should have been advised that there was no way to charge your phone, we would have at least brought up back up chargers.

Seth was an A-Hole of the grandest design.. I was recommended to this location because I had just purchased a Couch from the $.399.00 Furniture store on Thompson Lane due to my clutch out in my Truck and their manager said He recommends them all the time. Poor Customer skills and he obviously did not like his Job. You Company has a great reputation, don't let Seth ruin it.

Elysian Field is my usual location. It has been for decades. Yes, you can improve on the waiting time for people who are there just to drop off the key especially since staff really don't do anything about it except just send the receipt by email. A situation in which I spent 15 minutes to drop off the key is unhealthy. It's even more painful since I alerted the staff on duty that I was there just to drop the key off. The staff made a joke out of my alert and simply ignored it. 15 minutes later, he did exactly what I had suggested … collect my key and said I would receive my receipt by email. I could have saved my ride 15 minutes. By the way, 4 more customers queued up behind me in the 15 minutes and made the little available space look clogged. They too just wanted to drop their keys off. Thank you for your time.

Employees Trey and Seth arrived to the store an hour late. The building smelled like sewage inside. It took over an hour to process under 10 people. Trey allowed an older gentleman to skip the line because they went to church together. There was no acknowledgement to the customers waiting in line that the store had opened late, nor an apology that the line was moving so slow. Exceptionally poor experience. 0/5 stars

I drove 28 miles away to pick up inventory, only to discover that the rear door was padlocked shut and I had no key. I cut the lock after I called and was told I had a 20 min wait to speak to a rep. Attendant upon return never said sorry or anything.

Was a long line of about 6 people. If this location is always this busy they need more than 2 guys helping customers. Plus, they missed a phone call because there were so many people waiting.

Dropping off the vehicle transport here was made pretty simple with the help of a uhaul employee David. When we arrived no signs indicated what the proper procedure for drop off of equipment was and the pickup location I was at mentioned that it was expected that I leave the equipment parked neatly and drop the keys into a box. This was not the case. I had made my way into the tightly crowded parking spaces of equipment a good ways until an irate man told me to stop. David latter was able to help me move the equipment into suitable parked locations.

Took 15 minutes to get someone on phone then computers could not process reservation. When I arrived after completing online reservation I had to wait in line for 20 minutes. The information provided during first call to make reservation was inaccurate and the actual location informed me that I would incur additional charges. During my trip the tow dolly I rented had a wiring defect that I repaired on roadside. When I returned the next day, service was prompt and the additional charges were waived. The lot porter was accommodating, courteous and very efficient during the return.

The location I was directed to to pick up the tow dolly did not have one when I arrived. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes I was directed to the location above. Once the paperwork was completed I pulled around to pick up the dolly. Right turn signal did not work. Had to convince attendant that it was not my truck after another 20 minute delay and much troubleshooting. Finally found a loose wire on the trailer light.

Other than maybe a little more available parking for customer parking, I can't think of a thing. The process was smooth and the reps who helped me were friendly and very well trained & knowledgeable about operations. This was probably the best rental experience I've ever had!

The truck I was given would only start if you jiggled the key and wheel. This sometimes was instant but frequently took longer than a minute. It was incredibly stressful not knowing if/when the truck was going to start. Add to that the fact that the lock on the back would barely close and the passenger door was very damaged. The employee knew all of this because he pointed it out to us. In fact, he could not get the truck to start himself and told me to try it (which I did and was successful but later attempts took a long time). I have had good experiences at this location and others but this was my worst U-Haul experience yet. I rated Below Average instead of Poor because this U-Haul location has previously been helpful and great.

They had one person checking people in and then that same person had to take you outside and get your vehicle or trailer for you. I was the 4th person in line and it took nearly 40 minutes for me to get my trailer. That is the whole time from the time I got in line until the trailer was finally hooked up to my car.

This experience was not good and it would take longer to explain that would be worth it. I showed up early and they made leave and come back, I came back and they didn’t have my truck so gave me something which used more gas than I would have, I waited in line like 40 min both times, the General manager was rude and snapping. The whole experience was very poor.

I made a reservation a week in advance for a truck and a tow dolly. I entered the make, model, and year of my vehicle that I needed to tow. When I arrived, they didn't have any tow dollies available that would work for my car, claiming that it was too low and would damage my vehicle. It took almost an hour for them to decide that it wouldn't work. Then another forty five minutes was spent searching for an alternative location -- I was sent, with my full moving truck and car, to a location on the other side of town with no refund or reparations made for wasting ultimately 3 hours of my time on a reservation that should have been taken care of before I arrived. There was little to no apology for the inconvenience.

Furniture pads that I requested were not put in trailer. I didn’t discover that until I was already at my destination in another state. When I was returning trailer, I entered store. One employee was assisting another customer. The store manager was also at the counter where another customer line could form, but he was not assisting anyone. I stood there for a few minutes. Before he acknowledged me, I watched him pop a handful of peanuts into his mouth and continue to work on labeling keys. Finally, without looking at me, he said he couldn’t help me yet because his mouth was full of peanuts. I continued to wait while observing him put another handful of peanuts in his mouth and continue labeling keys. At some point, another employee came into the store and asked if he could help me, and he proceeded to assist me in turning in my trailer. Location could use some improvement in their customer service skills and their attention to detail.

The staff there was so unprofessional they acted like they were doing you a favor by taking the tow dolly off of the U-Haul truck. It took a while to be even acknowledged by the staff even though you are standing right in front of them. I would never recommend this U-Haul location.

5/14/19 - Got a trailer hitch installed. Extremely pleased with the install, but spent over 20 minutes on the phone trying to find out if the car was ready. Even after getting assistance from the call center, never could get a response on if the install was completed. I ended up having to just go to the store. 5/15/19 - Picked up trailer - Wait was as expected. 5/17/19 - Returned trailer - I had to wait 30 minutes to get assistance to simply drop off the trailer.

Change the oil on the trucks. I wondered if the truck was going to make it back. Also, hire more people. I waited 15-20 minutes just to return a truck. This is unacceptable in a big city.

This was the worst U-Haul experience I’ve ever had. Because of this experience I will never use a U-Haul again and I will tell everyone I know to go to Penske or budget. Anything besides U-Haul. The Elysian field location where we rented the 26 foot box truck is owned and operated by some of the rudest people on the planet. Immediately following pick up I ended up turning up the street beside the U-Haul location to turn around safely, because turning out on Nolensville pike was dangerous and uncomfortable for somebody that is not used to driving a 26 foot truck. Following turning on Elysian Drive I was going to turn around in the cul-de-sac at the end of the street. I turned up in the driveway and the trailer hitch drug down into the asphalt. You can see on this driveway and the street where this has been done close to 100 times. I have pictures to prove this. I couldn’t go forward or backwards so I called U-Haul roadside service. Thinking in my mind that I would be helped because I got the insurance. After calling U-Haul roadside service they told me that I was on my own that the insurance did not cover that. And then I called the U-Haul location where I rented the truck, they as well told me that I was on my own even though they were less than a half a mile from where I was. My friend and I stood in the hot sun for two hours trying to figure out what to do. Finally paying for a tow truck out of my own pocket. $180 later we got on the road. Neighbors at the end of the street said this happens all the time, they were mad and they even called the U-Haul location. After returning the truck back in I spoke with the owner/manager of this location and told him “when someone rents a box truck this big for future reference you should put a sign in to inform people not to turn up that street and try and turn around in that driveway”. He told me that U-Haul corporate would not allow him to do that. And then I told him that it’s very simple to just tell somebody when they pick up the truck not to do that. I hope that someone from U-Haul corporate will take note and do something about this for future customers. Thank you for reading this far. Also I hope someone calls me about this issue. Austin

I called on the phone first. I needed some information on availability and pricing. The person I talked to, was very rude. All that they wanted was my credit card number. I decided to go in person to the closest store. They were so kind and considerate. They had me in and out of there in no time. When I came back with the trailer. A nice gentleman, was right out and disconnected the trailer. We went inside, he printed me a receipt, and everything was done under ten minutes. To me, they were Quality personal. It was a pleasure for me.

find a process to collect I'd info without your staff using their personal cell phones to take pictures of ever renters I'd. this is a SERIOUS security risk. this didnt use to be a uhual procedure.
