Not promise customers a truck and give them another one. I booked a 20' truck online but when I got there I was told I had to take a 17' truck because I should not have been giving the option to book the 20' online because it's a one way truck. It was an inconvenience which caused us to have to make two trips instead of one and had to pay more in mileage.

The customer survive at location was horrible. They are rude, getto & very unprofessional. It seems they don't care about their jobs because they are underpaid I would assume. The truck I rented runs horrible. Back struts is shut, mirrors move with every little bump, no power windows or power mirrors. AC works & rear door locks pretty easy.

Don't add 50 cents per mile just cause it's Friday. Have the vehicles fully fueled so the customer does not have to fuel it as soon as it's rented and then again when returning it. Trying to get it to the same level you pick it up at is an added problem to the renter.

I made an appointment for a 7:00am pickup and the app led me to believe I could do a self pickup, however, when I got there at 7:00am the app reported that my truck would not be ready til 9:00am. This threw my entire schedule off by 2 hours which ruined the latter half of my day. Not Cool!

Your west farms facility was horrible Keith who guaranteed me a van for 4/15/17 at 8a.m totally bamboozled me I got there and there was no van for me mind you I paid a cab to get there!!! William however that morning was extremely helpful and very patient with me while I ranted and cursed because of Keith's stupidity. William helped me find another rental which was at the Hunts Point location, I had to pay another cab but I got my rental. Thank you William at West Farms,thank you Hunts Point team

I will be renting again in the near future. Only for this location in the Bronx. All the other locations gave me so much problem with just trying to rent it. Once I called the hunts Point location everything went so smooth, I couldn't believe it. The lady I spoke to was so very helpful I wish I knew her name because the company needs to know that she was amazing. Thank you hunts Point for a great experience.

There was ABSOLUTELY no parking at all. That's not even the worse part. Its the unprofessional and rude behavior of the representative checking me in. If I didn't already pay movers on that appointed date I would of rented from a different company. I just can not believe how disrespectful this rep was.

At the time of pick-up I was surprised with a bigger truck at the same price. I really did not need a bigger truck. I was told the truck was brand new with over 146k in miles; I figured it was highway miles. After driving the truck on the highway, we noticed the alignment on the truck was off. When the truck was returned I was told they're were surprised the particular truck was not being used given to us was not being used anymore! Go figure.

Great help Bruce was truck could of been cleaner though I had to scrub the inside of the windshield because it was dirty and dusty but I will definitely rent from them again though.

Overall terrible experience the truck was very unsafe the passenger mirror kept moving every time I hit a bump on the road which gave me a blind spot the whole time driving. The steering wheel was completely unaligned where it made driving straight very difficult. I don't know if this truck was ever serviced.

I just like to say services is great directions You are not on point it's not really a cross from the BP gas station because there's a highway dividing you and BP. You can say on the other side of the BP gas station across the highway .

The manager at Hunts Point gave me a 20 inch old truck with the back door already jammed and/or not working properly. It jammed on your lot before I got the keys. The manager showed me how to not get it jammed, by doing some tinkering crap (push this and don't push that) bullshit. WhAAAT is this? May this tinkering advice by the Hunts Point Uhaul Store Manager may be Ok in some country in South America or in Tinbaktu, where 19th century standards apply. I could have gotten my fingers cut off for crying out loud. The back door jammed three more times while I was loading and unloading the truck. **I don't appreciate this. If the truck was not working properly to begin with, why not fix it first, make it safe to operate by customers. What the heck! Please, tell your Hunts Point Manager to get his act at together. Fix the back doors on all trucks and make sure the tires are properly working. I am lucky I didn't get my fingers jammed in the back door while trying to release it. If the truck isn't working then please for the safety of customers, fix it and don't rent it out without a complete inspection. *Note: The truck I rented is obviously old and should be taken out of service. As to your question, "what can we do to improve for the next customer", my answer is FIRE The Hunts Point Manager.

It was the end of the month rush, and almost the entire lot was reserved and rented out. All I could use was a pick-up truck, but the guy behind the counter worked with us so we could at least finish our move that day.

I rated the location average based on the fact that there is no customer parking area. This Uhaul site is in an extremely inconvenient location with no street parking. If you bring your personal vehicle you must park multiple blocks away and walk back to pick up rental equipment. This inconvenience adds time to your day and ruins the consumer experience.

There is no place to park your car. The place they recommend for you to park is in a dangerous neighborhood. You car can get vandalized, or stolen. The individuals working at this location are rude, and lazy. I will never recommend Uhaul to anyone. I am being charged for fee that is un necessary. I already paid it, and they want to continue to charge me. I will bw reporting this to the Better Business Buerau. I will also leave a review for Yelp.

Did not check in my truck until I called on Friday, when it was left after hours on Wednesday evening. This caused confusion with my contract and the location of the truck. No one picked up with phone at this location for a few hours on Friday morning.

The gentleman that handled my order was courteous and well spoken. I had no REAL issues with my order. The place was clean. I am a repeat customer at this location. Once again service was good. Only con is availability of very popular items like trailers (which is an issue at ALL locations). The trailer that I reserved was not available. However, I find this trend similar to ALL U-Haul locations as they rely on the on-time return of equipment from the prior customer when booking reservations. With that said I accepted a similar trailer which was the same price.

Hello U Haul Executive Management, Re: File Grievance _Hitch Installation Confirmation: 93207925 My name is Adeel Jeffrey. My mother is hospitalized for a dx of cancer so I had to travel Sunday 9/4 early morning. have reserved Hitch installation on Saturday 9/3/16 with U haul representative Malailka. I was told, wait for call from U haul. No one called for an hour, I called again and same advised was given to me. In a mean time, I went to Uhaul store on white plain and allerton ave for buying the wrap items and explained manager what I am suffering through. She informed me that I have to go to 1365 Bruckner Blvd, Bronx for Hitch Installation and for 5x8 Trailer pick from sawmill parkway location. I called U haul while on way for Hitch installation and representative told me all is confirmed however when I reached Bruckner Blvd Bronx U haul around 300 pm; the General Manager Robert said he don't have any reservation for installation and he don't have Hitch too. I request him to check in the system, he looked in the system but excuse that it can not be installed. I explained him, I was told all is confirmed and that my mother is hospitalized I have to travel and I was told all is okay. Then he said, I have one Hitch but it is reserved for someone else for Tuesday 9/6/16. After my several request, he agreed to give me a parts but advised to install from anywhere else. I asked if I come on Sunday 9/4, can he take care of installation, Robert replied the next appointment is for Tuesday 9/6. I got migraine headaches; now went to other Auto Repair shop in Bronx and Hitch was installed but ha gave wrong item # 4394 Ball. When I called Robert, he advised to change item from item from Sawmill location. The Auto Repair Mechanic installed Hitch but not the LED powered converter vehicle end. From here, I continued my unforgettable journey to U haul Sawmill location at 937 SAW MILL RIVER RD, YONKERS,NY 10710 for pick up 5x8 trailer. I reached location in time at 6:30 pm but the the Staff Angel and Fredy refused to rent Trailer since LED Light Module was not installed. I asked I will find some one to do tomorrow morning but they said once you will install and we would give to you. I check few 24hrs mechanic around the area but no one was available to install light wires. There is also discrepancy in price for trailer quotation. This experience is an nightmare for me. I would request to the U Haul executive management ; please investigate and make a fair decision. Should I deserve all this? Thank you Adeel Jeffrey 718 213 8513

The truck was dirty inside and on the side door one of the handles were missing. When I was going to return the key back i was directed to some guy outside working on and parking the trucks and he had a nasty attitude like he hates his job and life. Never again!

Better quality, the truck was filthy someone did a clean out using the truck When I got to my storage, after opening the truck it was not clean there was left over debris of sheet rock. The gas Gage kept beeping indicating the fuel was low so I had to put extra gas in the vehicle. The Driver Side Mirror Kept Dropping down every time I hit a bump so while driving I had to keep reaching out to readjust the mirror. It was not such a good experience. Some of my things was full of dust from the debris.

There was a serious stench of feces in this vehicle as well as an infestation of nats. Someone must have stepped in feces or used the vehicle to transport fertilizer with manure. I drove 500 miles having to swat nats out of my face as well as having to endure the stench. I had to buy lysol to get rid of the smell. This location needs to do a better job of cleaning out vehicles before they send them out.

I called the office to advise them that there was an accident on the road and most probably would not be able to make it on time to return truck; was given number to customer service, explained the situation, was advised of the extra charges and to just bring the truck in on the next day by 9am. Neither the bruckner office or customer service asked for name on reservation. My husband receives a voice mail from Bruckner Manager saying he is sending the police on him for not returning the truck, irrated, unprofessional. We were moving my daughter from NY to Pa, things just happen on the way. We paid over $600.00 to you and still you treated us like crap. Never again will we use your horrible companay and social media will know about this experience from hell.

I originally reserved a truck with one of your dealers. They confirmed online the truck was reserved for 11 am. When I got there they said the truck wasn't returned yet. They referred me to the above location which was further away. I called original dealer and asked about the 50.00 guarantee if they don't have truck available and they said the wouldn't do it. I currently have a truck reserved to move down to NC and am hesitant to continue using UHAUL.

First off, my estimated cost was $42 and I was charged $75. The uhaul on 138th estimated my cost to be $69 and that's what the put on hold. Second, customer service just sucks. Very poor customer service. I will not rent here again. Plus the $75 is still on hold from my account and it's been two days. My actual charge was $40 because I used less miles than estimated.

The truck had a broken visor that kept falling into the way of vision. When I told a worker about it before I left he said "all the trucks are broken like that". When I got there there was no one in the store front, I waited inside for over 25 mins waiting. The truck it self was dirty, and had lots of markings and dents. The worker who checked me out asked me how long I would need the truck for, I told him one day But for some reason be charged me for 2 days, and twice for insurance, if I had not mentioned it when I returned the truck I fear I would have be double charged.
