Did not like the fact the truck was on a hill when he checked the gas. Went inside paid the difference and kept it pushing. Has a wait to pay the cash difference. Had just filled up at the gas station right next door. But will tell all friends and family, refer and use again. Smooth experience noting like how it use to be!

Check in was very fast. The truck was easy to drive. I didn't find the light. So maybe you could ask the guys where that is. I recommend getting the Dolly which made moving heavy boxes easier. Great experience overall with U this move.

Inspect trucks before renting them and give renter all operational instructions before renter leaves the lot. I had a horrendous experience at this location. The staff, other than the lot assistant, were rude and had a could not care less attitude. I had several narrow escapes on the highway because of a faulty brake and steering wheel. I will NEVER, EVER AGAIN rent from this location

I think that they should put the vehicals through a thorough cleaning process inside out every time a vehicle is returned do that the next consumer can feel like their getting quality service when they are renting the vehicles. All in all, I would give a 7 out of 10 to this location because the employees were knowledgeable, courteous, and gave fast and easy service.

The location was fine. The gentleman that helped was friendly. I had an issue which caused me to extend my rental. There was a bit of a disconnect because when I called the location I was connected to someone in customer service, not at the location. They had informed me that my location did not have after hours dropoff, so I ended keeping the truck overnight. Thankfully the rep the rep that helped me at pick up rectified the matter.

This service was overpriced and the quality of the vehicle rented was not good.I would have taken the longer trip to rent the same vehicle from an available Zipcar location had I known better. Rate for a one and a half hour extension is ridiculous.

at this location the gentlemen that helped me was pretty good.. I was in and out pretty quickly… no issues My problem was not with the locations but the actual service of Uhaul.. I made a reservation for a 20ft truck over the phone i was told that they would have the 20FT truck for me on Saturday to then get a call the day of to tell me that they only had a 10ft truck…. so I had to cancel my reservation to then try and get another truck the next day..I ended up having to do two moves which I did not want to do since I was traveling from NY to CT.. so I then had to pay double then what I was quoted due to the next day… also I cleaned the truck and they charged me a$25 cleaning fee.. when in fact I should of charged them since I actually cleaned the truck when I got it since there was blankets all over the place and I cleaned and folded all the blankets and swept the truck after I used it.. ridiculous..

Rented a trailer with No Plate , Had To wait for a email with a temporary Tag , Got pulled over 5 Times by state troopers due to the fact that it looks funny that a uhual trailer had a paper tag , n over all ended up super late to the arangememt I had to be at. I waited over 45 minutes to return a haul truck at today!! Never in my life have I ever had to wait that long to return anything. My absolute worst customer service experience in my life. My wait was so long that I had time to call customer service to record my complaint and there was no action from the uhaul representative.There was not enough staff at the location and they were not hustling even though there was a string of trucks lining onto the street waiting to be returned (I have multiple pictures). I file will show I rented 3 uhaul trucks in the past 2 weeks, but I will never rent from uhaul again due to the poor service, even though the goods and price were satisfactory.

The representative that assisted me when I picked up the truck was very professional and helpful. He went the extra mile. After returning the truck I realized I left two things that belonged to me in the truck. Next day spoke to Robert store manager he was very honest. Told me he had the items. That I can come get them. Great people here.

The guy here seemed to not know what he was doing. He forced me to purchase $16 insurance that I had previously declined. I had prepaid the total amount due the day before pickup. On arrival he told me that I owed $16. So I wanted to know what for and he said it was taxes. Upon looking at my bill I informed him that I already paid the taxes the previous day. He got rude with me and simply said "the total is 121!" After I paid he said "oh the 16 dollars was for insurance" so I told him "I said I didn't want insurance". His reply you ask? "Better safe than sorry" I'm sorry but excuse me? Is that not my decision to make?

Everything was fine until drop off. I had the truck till 6pm and I dropped off at 5:50 and the Attendent at the location was busy with another truck. He said park it there, I did, and left like I have done many times before. Now I'm being charged an extra $56 because that same attendant didn't log the truck in until almost 6:30! It's been over a week and I'm still waiting for a call back!

The attendants weren't pleasant and made us feel as if we were bothering them. The truck was smelled horrible and it had more miles than the form indicated. There's nowhere to park your vehicle, the location is extremely confusing and there's no one to guide you. There were 2 gentlemen working on a busy Sunday morning.

On Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 9:30AM, I placed a self-service rental check out with U-Haul for a 9 foot truck from the 2800 White Plains Road location. Contract number 28680688. On Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:09AM, I received a call from U-Haul stating that my pick up location was change from White Plains Rd to a location in New Rochelle, NY. I explained to the representative that the New Rochelle location was inconvenient. Therefore, I requested an alternate branch in the Bronx, which became Empire Capital Group located at 2453 Westchester Av, Bronx, NY 10461. The representative confirmed the 9 AM pick up, using the self-service rental check out. As scheduled I reached Empire Capital Group at 9 AM only to find out that this location does not participate in the self-service rental check out. I was forced to wait an hour until this location opened before I could retrieve my rental. To make matters worse, manager Baharul Islam (929) 223-4742 was late opening the store, which left an additional customer waiting. Once inside Mr. Islam serviced me. After searching the system he stated that I did not have a reservation with U-Haul. I explained to Mr. Islam that there had to be a mistake because I had an email with the reservation and confirmation number for this location. I asked Mr. Islam if he would like to see the email. He refused to view the email, stating if he did not see the reservation in his computer, then the reservation did not exist. I asked if we could call U-Haul and get the issue rectified. He became rude and abrasive and demanded that I go to the Hunts Point location at 1365 Bruckner Blvd, Bronx, NY 10459. Again, I asked Mr. Islam if we could call U-Haul. He became agitated and jumped out of his seat. He brushed by me and directed me to leave his store and go to Hunts Point or call U-Haul or my own. To avoid having to deal with me any further; Mr. Islam grab his belongings and drove off in his car. I stepped outside of the location and called the U-Haul 800-number. I reached a representative by the name of Tanisha Selby (718) 562-3800, who stated that somehow my reservation was canceled but could not confirm who cancelled the reservation. Tanisha stated that Empire Capital Group indeed had the truck that was registered to me. She created a new reservation and called the secretary inside of Empire Capital Group and explained that one of the trucks on location was for my rental that somehow had been cancelled. I went back inside and spoke with Mr. Islam's secretary. She took my information and charged my debit card for payment. Once the payment process was completed the secretary looked at the lot though the window and determined that the truck was not in the lot. Since the secretary was unable to find my truck she canceled out the order stating I needed to proceed to the Hunts Point location. I called Tanisha back and put her on speakerphone along with the secretary. Tanisha was shocked to learn that Empire Capital

We were delayed by a day due to Uhaul error. With only one phone and no other follow-up call to notify us of further delay. Hence following day we were scheduled to pick up 20ft at Hunts Point. Although Uhaul gave us an additional 30 mile and $50 off - we deserved more. It was quiet frustrating since we were also delayed at Hunts Point and the manager was not there as promised.

We were rented a truck that had battery issues. Not to mention, I rented a truck to get dropped off at the destination (borough of Brooklyn). I was informed that I was unable to do so, and would have to drop off the truck back to the original location (This later became a huge inconvenience). The battery died, once we loaded everything onto the truck. I attempted to call the location, but it was impossible to get through. I called the uhaul customer service, and the representative attempted to call, but didn't have any success as well. She advised that I call a service to come out and assist us. Luckily, a stranger had a jumper cord, which allowed us fix the issue temporarily. My father drove the Uhaul to Brooklyn, and I drove to the destination in order to inform them on the issue. They gave me the entire 24 hours to return the truck. Once we unloaded everything in Brooklyn, my father went to drive the Uhaul back to the Bronx. When he stopped at the gas station in to fill the tank, the truck once again wouldn't turn on. He then had to cross a bridge, walk to the Uhaul store, to see if they could assist him. They gave him the tools/jumper cord and said that they could not help him, and he would have to take care of the issue. He then had to walk back to the gas station (not a close destination), and take care of the issue himself. I'm completely appalled by this service. Customer service is certainly not a focus for customers who are spending their money. Not to mention, my father travelled from South NJ, in order to assist with the move. He has bad knees and wasn't in the position to walk a long distance. Uhaul did absolutely nothing to help, or try to be helpful. When my father asked for some sort of discount, he was denied. The worst moving service, I've ever spent my money on. Absolute worst. For my next move, I certainly will not be using Uhaul. I'm informing all my friends and colleagues to Never use Uhaul, due to the lack of putting customers needs first.

If I rent a truck for a day and then return the truck within 24 hours the customer should get some sort of rebate. The truck can be rented out to another customer the same day there by creating economy of scale. I also think that $4 a gall of gas for less than pick up capacity is extortion.

Have safe trucks. The truck I was in was a hazard. The side view mirrors kept dropping down. 80 miles of constantly having to readjust the mirrors, brakes kept sticking and engine issues. Horrible experience. I informed the workers, they said ok while texting and put the truck right back onto the line for future rentals. Worst/scariest experience while driving.

Not promise customers a truck and give them another one. I booked a 20' truck online but when I got there I was told I had to take a 17' truck because I should not have been giving the option to book the 20' online because it's a one way truck. It was an inconvenience which caused us to have to make two trips instead of one and had to pay more in mileage.

The customer survive at location was horrible. They are rude, getto & very unprofessional. It seems they don't care about their jobs because they are underpaid I would assume. The truck I rented runs horrible. Back struts is shut, mirrors move with every little bump, no power windows or power mirrors. AC works & rear door locks pretty easy.

Don't add 50 cents per mile just cause it's Friday. Have the vehicles fully fueled so the customer does not have to fuel it as soon as it's rented and then again when returning it. Trying to get it to the same level you pick it up at is an added problem to the renter.

I made an appointment for a 7:00am pickup and the app led me to believe I could do a self pickup, however, when I got there at 7:00am the app reported that my truck would not be ready til 9:00am. This threw my entire schedule off by 2 hours which ruined the latter half of my day. Not Cool!

Your west farms facility was horrible Keith who guaranteed me a van for 4/15/17 at 8a.m totally bamboozled me I got there and there was no van for me mind you I paid a cab to get there!!! William however that morning was extremely helpful and very patient with me while I ranted and cursed because of Keith's stupidity. William helped me find another rental which was at the Hunts Point location, I had to pay another cab but I got my rental. Thank you William at West Farms,thank you Hunts Point team

I will be renting again in the near future. Only for this location in the Bronx. All the other locations gave me so much problem with just trying to rent it. Once I called the hunts Point location everything went so smooth, I couldn't believe it. The lady I spoke to was so very helpful I wish I knew her name because the company needs to know that she was amazing. Thank you hunts Point for a great experience.

There was ABSOLUTELY no parking at all. That's not even the worse part. Its the unprofessional and rude behavior of the representative checking me in. If I didn't already pay movers on that appointed date I would of rented from a different company. I just can not believe how disrespectful this rep was.

At the time of pick-up I was surprised with a bigger truck at the same price. I really did not need a bigger truck. I was told the truck was brand new with over 146k in miles; I figured it was highway miles. After driving the truck on the highway, we noticed the alignment on the truck was off. When the truck was returned I was told they're were surprised the particular truck was not being used given to us was not being used anymore! Go figure.

Great help Bruce was truck could of been cleaner though I had to scrub the inside of the windshield because it was dirty and dusty but I will definitely rent from them again though.

Overall terrible experience the truck was very unsafe the passenger mirror kept moving every time I hit a bump on the road which gave me a blind spot the whole time driving. The steering wheel was completely unaligned where it made driving straight very difficult. I don't know if this truck was ever serviced.

I just like to say services is great directions You are not on point it's not really a cross from the BP gas station because there's a highway dividing you and BP. You can say on the other side of the BP gas station across the highway .

The manager at Hunts Point gave me a 20 inch old truck with the back door already jammed and/or not working properly. It jammed on your lot before I got the keys. The manager showed me how to not get it jammed, by doing some tinkering crap (push this and don't push that) bullshit. WhAAAT is this? May this tinkering advice by the Hunts Point Uhaul Store Manager may be Ok in some country in South America or in Tinbaktu, where 19th century standards apply. I could have gotten my fingers cut off for crying out loud. The back door jammed three more times while I was loading and unloading the truck. **I don't appreciate this. If the truck was not working properly to begin with, why not fix it first, make it safe to operate by customers. What the heck! Please, tell your Hunts Point Manager to get his act at together. Fix the back doors on all trucks and make sure the tires are properly working. I am lucky I didn't get my fingers jammed in the back door while trying to release it. If the truck isn't working then please for the safety of customers, fix it and don't rent it out without a complete inspection. *Note: The truck I rented is obviously old and should be taken out of service. As to your question, "what can we do to improve for the next customer", my answer is FIRE The Hunts Point Manager.

It was very hard to get into to drop off the van, also, i was requesting to drop off the van at a different location which was closer to where i was but could not do this, so this was the only minus but overall it was a very stress free experience.

Details of ubox process was ever changing, an easy process in theory turned into a headache the delay with pick up caused a several hour delay in our moving schedule.
