Another location couldn’t make my rental and after getting the run around from five different people from corporate eventually I got the trailer from them. It’s the second time in a row they’ve bailed out other U-Haul places for my family. Other places can’t honor a reservation made a week or more in advance and every time the Ithaca location has been able to get me set up in just the 30 minutes it takes me to drive there.

I don't understand why I had to provide a reference for you to contact when completing my pick-up process. If that person hadn't of actually been with me, there would have been no one for me to reference, and therefore, wouldn't have been able to rent the Uhaul as I understand it. The lockbox for the key wasn't well marked, and had trouble getting the key out once I asked for assistance. Also, I'm required to take photos of the Uhaul prior to driving it off the lot. The Uhauls were parked so close together that you couldn't take a proper picture as requested.

The staff were all engaging and spontaneously useful. Pre-registering saved a lot of time compared to my prior rentals where I hadn't done so. The hand truck partially blocks the movement of goods into the truck. Relocate it further back, all the way.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, quick and efficient. I’ve rented many times in the past but this was the best. The rental was clean and well maintained. I’m leaving a review primarily due the interactions with their employees.

The van that I was assigned had a terrible smell inside. I made the agent aware of it, and they said, yeah, we know about this van. I took it but regretted it because I had to have the windows down the whole time and it was 50 degrees outside... very unpleasant.

The truck was old (150k mi.) but clean. We did not notice holes in the ceiling so things got wet inside. Note to self... check everything carefully! We had an easy pick up and return.

The final price was higher than quoted - I had been warned that this was typical but I was foolish to not listen. The extra payment plus a very high gas usage vehicle made it a very expensive trip to help a friend in need.

this was my first tjme renting a trailer. every single person working there was just absolutely wonderful! that is the only word I would use is wonderful! and it was so easy to rent and return. i was very surprised at how easy it was. It is very nice to know there is a place close to home to rent with very nice people to deal with!

Wrong dolly in the truck! I ordered an appliance dolly, not a utility dolly. Also, the seal was broken on the blankets that we didn't need. We had our own.

I was surprised by how excellent the vehicle was. Brand new Ford Transit with very little mileage. It was in perfect shape. Also customer service was top rate. Very friendly. Easy to make the rental and get going on my way. Easy return as well. Thanks.

The equivalent was faulty. A bolt from the fender caused 2 blow outs and 5 hours of delay in my trip.

Everything about this location was fabulous with the exception of the "bait and switch" fees.. I paid paid considerably more than anticipated based on 1.09/mile and the gas fees when I left the exact amount of fuel in the tank at drop off that I received at pick up. Sure, I'll promote haul, but I'll tell everyone to read the fine print because your will be paying a much larger fee.

I would like to thank the manager of this store. I had rented a trailer from a different location and because they did not have it there I went to the Ithaca store instead of the Waverly NY location. I asked if I could drop it off back at the Waverly store and they said it would be fine since that location hardly ever has a trailer and Ithaca had 7. I was charged a one way price even though I was doing them a favor and since I originally expected to pick it up in Waverly. When I called the 800 number the operator was a little sarcastic about the price because she said even though it showed a trailer there it doesn't mean it could change. The customer service rep said she would send the manager a message at the Ithaca store and it was up to them to issue the difference from one way price to the return where picked up and the manager did refund me the difference. Thank you very much to the manager of the Ithaca NY store. I will go there again when needed. Thank you again.

Tire pressure was well below what they should have been, I asked if they had been checked and was told that they had been, and 5lbs difference between them. License plate was falling off and I had to supply a zip tie and insist that it be fixed. Right side tire is bald down the center of the tire.

Equipment was new, clean and no damage on outside. No surprises in mileage or anything. The shop was super busy when we arrived but the staff kept their cool and moved through customers quickly. We've been here several times before and will always come back. Follow the checkout procewss Uhaul recommends: be sure to do the walkthru on your phone prior to leaving in case there are marks on vehicle or differences in mileage or gas levels.

Before I left, I checked the mileage on my vehicle and saw it differed from what was on my paper. I went back inside and had them change it but then the person at the desk came out to the vehicle and showed me that I'd made a mistake and looked at the "trip mileage" instead of the total mileage. So, the original mileage was correct. I thought they would go back and correct that mileage back to the original statement but they didn't. So, then when I returned the vehicle I got charged an extra 30 or so miles of use. This mistake was initially mine, because I checked the wrong mileage on the dash. But I am hoping to get this refunded since I thought we had cleared up the issue before I left the lot with the van and I didn't realize we hadn't corrected the mistake until I received my receipt. Everything else about the rental was great.

Horrible customer service and wait times. Manager of Ithaca NY location was very nice though and helpful. Calling in for assistance or to make reservations was infuriating. HORRIBLE for moving ease.
