Uhual customer representative Josh allowed someone NOT me Audrea Giles to extend the rental and pay to extend it, unbeknownst to me. When I confronted the person who did not return the truck I was told he and Josh had an agreement and that Josh rented him another truck not in my name but at the same time he allowed the extension and accepted the 120.00. Then on Wednesday Josh finally decided to phone me to ask me to have the truck returned. I was shocked and upset because I was under the impression that the truck was returned. Josh told me I should report it stolen. After no cooperation from the person whom Josh had an agreement with about my rental Not his, I went to the police station to report it stolen and was told that uhaul does that. I then contact Josh at uhal again to tell him, he then informs me that yes he had been in touch with the person the day before and that morning and he would give them until 2:30pm before reporting it stolen. The truck was not returned until 4pm and I was changed with the balance. What kind of customer representative works with someone NOT named on contract? That truck was brought back and not returned instead cash was exchanged for an extension I DID NOT AGREE TO, I am very upset with this customer representative Josh who allowed all this and told me the person named on the contract that he'd done so? I want to file an complaint and I believe I am NOT responsible for those fee pass Monday when Josh allow this person to walk in and extend a truck he was sent to return. You guys have my information, video proving Someone other than me came in to extend the truck, and telephone recording between Josh the person and myself with Josh, this is unfair. And I am requesting uhaul to check in to my complaint, and please get back with me about my concerns. Thank youaudrea G.

The 26' truck we rented to move was horrible, first off the brakes were bad I had to push the brake pedal all the way down to the floorboard to even try to slow it down or stop, second the transmission wasn't even shifting properly it was slipping, third the shifter was very hard getting it into any gear..Corey S.

I checked in on my phone. It was not user friendly. I could have been in and out if I had just gone inside. Which I had to do anyway. Drivers license and verification could have been done prior to me having to do it in the parking lot, dodging the sun to read my phone. Thank youGregory B.
Nice to have mobile check in, however, it's too cumbersome to be helpful. I would rather go inside and pick up rental in person. Won't use mobile check in again. Some steps were unclear and since I still have to go inside to get the keys (and I had to wait for them to finish with other customers) I see no value in your mobile check in.Ken M.

The van's exterior was dirty and inside it reeked of cigarette smoke (that stale, crusty old dude smell). Otherwise thrilled to get a van with low mileage. The oil change light came on within the first 50 miles of driving it. No big deal but slightly disconcerting since the trip involved over 500 miles. My general experience is excellent from this location. Think the weekly rate is a very fair price.Laurie E.

I stopped in the store to make reservation for 8/8 and told i was all set. Turns out the guy reserved 8/14 and I didn't catch it. So today i had no truck when i walked in but a wonderful lady found a 15' that i needed to be turned in by 1 pm, which she called me later to extend to 2 pm. She was great but the problem is I believe i was charged for a larger truck than I originally wanted (10') and had to pay .20 cents more per mile. Why should i have had to pay for the original guy's mistake. I told him 8/8 as we discussed it.John D.
I reserved a truck and car hauler 2 weeks in advance to the U-haul Lincoln Park location. When I went to pick them up they didn't have anything. I had to go to the Madison Heights location to get the truck and then back to the Lincoln Park location later that day to get the car hauler, I tried calling customer service but I was on hold for about 20 minutes then spoke to a lady and she transfer me to another department that said it was a 60 min. wait to speak to someone.I spent $1200 and couldn't even speak to anyone in customer service. All the employers at the locations was nice and the young man at Madison Heights gave me 50 extra miles because I had to go out of my way to get the truck.Jeffery S.

Two yhings for improvement. Online sign up with a registered account does not go as seamlessly as your website suggests. You hace to repeat answers to questions etc, so why bother? Secondly i use this for business, although im refistered as an individual. Your policy of card and contract names need to match does not free up my time. I have to be there.Richard G.
