Tyler Jones at Merced UHaul was wonderful. She was able to back out the cost of the appliance dolly and did not charge me for the extra miles I had to drive from the bay area back to Merced. Tyler went beyond the call of duty. In the past we have always had excellent service from Merced UHaul. If in the future if I am directed by UHaul central to go out of area to get a truck, I won't use UHaul.Linda B.

Make sure computer input is up to date with customer picking up the equipment and returning following days within 24 hours. I check out around 8:30am and needed for 24 hours and they got me returning next day by 10:30 am and when I was in the process of moving my belongings I got a call around 12 noon and saying that I'm late and I needed to return the vehicle on the same day and I explain to them why would I need it for 2 hours when I have a 4 bedroom to cleared out and the same clerk Denied saying it wasn't rescheduled for the next day seriouslyKAEN K.

For starters you can't get anyone on the phone at the store. I was on hold for 23 min before I hung up. That happened twice. When I was in line at the store for another 20 min 3 employees behind the counter two were training one the phone rang 3 times no effort was made to answer it. When I asked the assistant manager about it I was told that they aren't obligated to answer the phone. That was my first complaint NO customer service. My second complaint is they DONT honor there own contract or what there website says and make up lies to justify itDavid M.

YOU CAN TELL MICHAEL ISN'T THERE ANYMORE. WHEN I WENT TO RETURN MY TRUCK IT WAS 4:50 P.M. ON A SUNDAY (CHECK THE CAMERAS) AND NO ONE WAS AT THE COUNTER. THEN THE GUY CAME OUT OF A BACK OFFICE AT 4:55 P.M. AND TOLD ME THEY CLOSE AT 5 AND I HAD TO DO A SELF CHECK IN. I LET HIM KNOW I WAS THERE IN PLENTY OF TIME AND HE IGNORED ME AND POINTED TO THE SIGN ON THE WINDOW. I COULDN'T DO THE SELF CHECK IN AS THE STICKER ON THE TRUCK WOULDN'T SCAN. I ASKED HIM AS HE WALKED BY (HE WAS STILL PARKING ABOUT 10 UNITS THERE) AND HE STILL IGNORED ME AS HE WALKED DIRECTLY BEHIND ME. I FINALLY CALLED THE 800 NUMBER AND A KIND GENTLEMAN HELPED ME GET IT CHECKED IN. THIS TOOK ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO COMPLETE AFTER BEING ON HOLD FOR A LONG TIME. AS I DROPPED THE KEY IN THE RETURN BOX, THE GUY WAS STILL INSIDE WITH THE GIRL WORKING THERE ALONG WITH A COUPLE OF DOGS AND HE STILL WOULDN'T EVEN LOOK MY WAY. I HAVE ALWAYS RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE FOR RENTALS AND TRAILER HITCH'S WHEN I AM ASKED, BUT AFTER THE WAY I WAS TREATED AND IGNORED THAT DAY, I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN. SOMETHING HE COULD HAVE DONE IN 2 MINUTES TOOK ME 45!!! VERY.....VERY.....RUDE!!!Tom G.
I made my reservation a week in advance. When I arrived, I was told the truck I rented wasn't available and that there was nothing that could be done. After a few minutes, the staff member told me the truck was in fact on site and that it would be ready shortly. I rented one of the 26 â€œ trucks for the 2nd time and, like the first time, it was completely out of gas. I was was told that people cut the fence and steal the fuel. It just screws your itinerary because you have to wait for them to refuel the rig with a little 3 gal. Can so you have to run to the nearest gas station and refuel.Oscar I.

I had a fine experience renting a U-box and having family heirloom furniture delivered to my son in Oregon. This was more convenient and safer than renting a trailer, taking time off work and delivering it myself, especially with a pandemic going on. The price was reasonable and it was great working with the U-Haul folks in Tualatin, too.JAMES D.
