A rip off on gas. Absolute scam. I made 20miles 2 weeks ago and was charged only 2 gallons =$8,50 of gas on uhal. Yesterday I made exactly same road with the same car (I do have print out and pictures of the screen) and was charged 7 gallons =$37. Total scam

JAMES CLuanna was great, helpful and friendly but otherwise, not a great experience. I texted & called with the GM to verify that the truck and car dolly would be ready and was assured it would be. When I arrived, only the truck was available and the car dolly would arrive the next day which delayed my move. When I went to pick up the truck, there was an employee cussing and being unprofessional because it was almost 7, "closing time" and there were still customers to be waited on.

JOSE LI have rented trailers here probably 20 times. Incompetent staff that does not know how to operate their systems. Often I have to find my own trailer and hook it up. Upon return I have to disconnect the trailer too. I left a green dolly in a trailer about 2 months ago. I asked management to find who took it on the many cameras on the property. I never got my dolly back. Never even a phone call.

Jason KThe drop off process after hours is a difficult process., specially plugging the information to ensure that the vehicle is left in good standing. It gets very frustrating when you have to enter the information 7-8 times , tge app needs to be revised.

Carmen MEverything was great. The only issue was the windshield. It had a huge line goin from the bottom of the windshield to the top. The only way to get it off was when a razor blade that we didn’t have so we took our 24 hour trip with this line going up the window. They just need to clean a little better.
bernice oI went back to U-Haul to rent a Silverado or something of that nature and they said my account was flagged could you guys help me out to figure it out because I had no problems in returning the truck and on time with the same amount of gas a bit more for your troubles but I literally brought it back on time I have the contract number and know I’m good let me know why it’s flagged. And the lady said they don’t take cash payments for trucks and to me that doesn’t make sense thank you has a good day .

robin pSteering on truck needs maintenance. I mistakenly came in the wrong entrance - didn’t realize I was supposed to pull up under canopy in front of the office. The young lady inside kindly let me know I to move the truck - so I did. Then a man named “Michael Swanson” I believe was waiting outside - staring me down as if he wanted to intimidate me. So I asked him what the problem. He proceeded to state that I just parked the truck where felt like. I explained to him that I didn’t realize that I came in the wrong entrance and parked in the wrong place. I also told him that he had mo idea about what I felt. Please ensure your management and other staff are respectful - like the young lady at the desk was. Managers and or other staff standing outside mean mugging customers is not a good look. Either provide better training and supervision or screen prospective employees better.
DAVID WIf you want to spend half a day in line, very welcome. Never ever I’ll go there. Trailer was with broken stop light, is one thing but there is no straps to secure vehicle I realize it only at auction parking lot

LUIS SIt was annoying to have to change my pick up location to this one, as it was a much longer drive for the pick up. U-Haul changed this on me unexpectedly the day before pickup. The parking lot of this location was overcrowded and packed with vehicles. Difficult to get around. The person who to care of us was excellent. Very professional and polite and friendly. He was thorough and helpful.

LESLIE NThe van was clean on the outside and ran in perfect condition but was completely infested with roaches on the inside. Didn't notice until I operated the van at night and all the roaches came out from hiding. Please disinfect the van from roaches for the next customer.
Daniel QTerrible experience at U-Haul Pompano Beach. Never again. I made a 7 AM reservation because I had to be somewhere before 8 AM. Did everything over the phone to save time… and they still made me go inside. The employee was texting on his phone and didn’t even bother to focus on the customer in front of him. No urgency at all, even after I made it clear I was in a rush. Then comes the vehicle inspection. They expect you to take photos all around the van, but it was parked so tight I couldn’t even get pictures of the front or driver’s side. I had to move the van myself just to do their job. On top of that, the van already had multiple damages on the foot rails. I had to document everything carefully or risk getting blamed for it later. That alone took time I didn’t have. Let me be clear: If you skip that inspection because you’re in a hurry, they will charge you for damage you didn’t cause. Returning the van wasn’t any better. Another employee at the counter, again on his phone, ignoring customers. When I asked for a receipt, I was told I had to wait… or they could email it. No effort to help. For the record, this rental was from 7:17 AM to 9:51 AM at their Pompano Beach location , so this wasn’t some late or off-hours situation. Just poor service, plain and simple. And this isn’t my first issue here. Last time I rented from them, they charged me for gas even though I returned the van with the same level. I called to complain. No response. No refund. That tells you everything you need to know. Bottom line: • Slow service • Distracted employees • Poor vehicle handling process • Risk of getting charged unfairly • Zero follow-up on complaints I’m done with this location. Plenty of other options out there.

VICKY RVery bad experience with this U-Haul rental. The windshield wipers did not work, which I unfortunately only discovered after driving home to load a bed I needed to move. When I returned to report the issue, the truck had only been driven 5 miles, yet I was still charged the full rental price. I was on a tight schedule and it was raining, so I had no choice but to rent another truck and pay the full price again. Very frustrating situation and poor customer service.
EMANUEL HGetting checked in was fine but after they said here is the keys and I had to go look for the truck couldn’t fine asked another guy to help and was rude said am with this customer need to wait. It’s not what you said. It’s how you say very disappointing places is not like it used to be.

MARK GI rent a truck for work next day and I couldn't use it due the bad conditions it was. I had problems driving because didn't move at the speed need it and when I started at home the next day it take so long to do it. I decided to return it and when I arrive to the UHaul office it stoped and it was impossible to start it again. The Manager said that he understood how upset and scary I was and he promised to be sure all their equipment will be check to avoid a dangerous situation like this. Please be aware, its a life, time and money in risk. Thank you in advance for take care of this problems.
