The gentleman serving customers was not wearing a mask. I asked him if he needed one and he said he has one. I asked him why he isn't wearing it. He shrugged and said he doesn't believe in them. I walked in expecting to pay in the region of $20.00 or $30.00 for a couple of hours use of a rental vehicle. I ended up paying $60.00. I would call this a classic case of bait and switch. I did not leave happy or that I was dealt with openly and honestly as far as the contract was concerned. Secondly, I was herded into renting a vehicle that did not meet my needs. I asked for a 10-foot flatbed, but was rented a van. Bottom line: Making people believe they're getting something at one price, and then nickel and dimming them into all most 3 times that is NOT a winning longterm business strategy in my opinion. I will think twice before considering U-Haul.ian M.

The service rep was awful. He did not help with anything and was completely useless. The whole time he was not wearing a mask as he helped me and other customers. When he handed me the keys to the vehicle he basically told me to â€œgo find it myselfâ€. He also charged me for things I didn't even use. This felt like a scam and I will never use a Uhaul ever again or recommend it to anybody.Kyle B.

We were quoted a mileage charge of $1 per mile at the time of making reservation, but on pick up, the agent doubled the rate to $2 a mile. This is unprofessional and rather a very bad business practice.RAJ S.

It was a little confusing doing the full self check in to get keys and leave. I had to walk around the building to find someone to help. Also, during my pick up time I had to still call into the company to add a 2nd contact. When doing it on the phone app it kept telling me my 2nd number was already used and could not use it again. I was looking for a Uhaul rental from this location and drop off about an hour away from here. There were no trucks available to do this, so I needed to pick up and drop off at this same location. When I booked it, I was told I would have it for 24 hours. I was to pick up at 10am and drop off the next day at 10am. This would be a tight timeframe given the distance I was moving to, but figured I had to make it work. When I arrived at 10am to pick up the truck, I was told it had to be returned by 9am the next day. I know this is only an hour difference, but it made the already tight timeframe even tighter and we had to change our moving plan to make it work. The truck was clean and worked fine, but I would appreciate better service and better communication in the process.Robert D.

Our truck pick up was at 6am. When we went to check in online, we got a notification that the location did not open until 7am. So, logically we called and there was no answer. When we showed up now a quarter to 7 because of the phone call, the gentleman who was working there was NOT NICE. Claiming he was there the whole time and I couldve checked in online. I showed him the link and how it directed me to a note that said I could not check in until 7. Not only didn't he offer any flexibility with returning the truck (I understand other families had it booked) BUT he also just wasn't nice at all, or accommodating. I worked years in retail and I understand the value that even just a nice sentence can help, he clearly did not put the customer first. Again we weren't expecting anything of monetary value, just a better attitude.Eric P.

The location I got the truck from is inconvenient to get to if you are coming east on Rt. 22. I checked no for the vehicle maintenance but the truck was clean. Because of the following issues I marked NO. I had a problem starting the truck. At the store the guy started it for me so when I had to start it again myself I could not get the key to turn on. This just stressed me out because now I was almost a half hour behind schedule. Once I got where I was going I had to ask at a place I stopped for someone to help me. Every time I turned it off I had the same problem. It was very frustrating, stressful and annoying. When I returned the truck I asked about that and the employee said that it could be because it is a replacement key and that I had to keep jiggling it until I got it to turn over. I would have liked to have know that before I drove off with the truck. I also tried to call the first time that I had trouble starting the truck and the wait to talk to someone was over 15 minutes. I never did take to anyone. I gave up and just kept trying to start it. I also called today because I left my seat cushion in the truck and used a number that was listed as that store but no one ever answered so I had to drive all the way over there to see if I could get it back. At least they didn't dispose of it. I would really think twice before renting from UHaul again because of the phoning issue. That is so not acceptable. When I am in a strange place alone I would like to be able to call someone directly in order to get answers. The employees were nice.CHRISTINE C.

Stop charging for non-existent issues. The truck was brought back cleaned and the gas leveled to more than where it was when I picked it up, yet I was charged for gas. The attendant didn't come out inspect the vehicle with me, he just said to leave the key in the truck.Azu O.
