The staff member who assisted me was playing a video game when I walked in and continued to play his video game while assisting me. He was incredibly unhelpful and disinterested in providing any type of actual assistance. I basically did the entire transaction myself using the website on my mobile device.

Certifying the vehicle has been cleaned and sanitized and ensuring there are no dash lights on indicating a oil change is required.

I was pissed that "for MY convenience" you made me travel to a distant site in an unknown town that I flew into, rather than getting off your lazy asses and bringing my reserved vehicle to my promised location. How about next time "for YOUR convenience" I leave the truck at MY HOUSE and you come and get it?

Excellent experience. Never fun moving but we made 3 trips in 24 hours and moved an entire house. Was very disappointed when I went to return the truck and even though there was a sign that said you had to wear a mask there was someone renting a truck not wearing a mask and the Uhaul employee allowed it.

Everything was great! I was impressed at the helpfulness of the staff at this location - they were awesome in helping us hitch the trailer and didn't even blink when I came in the wrong end of the lot to drop off. They said it was absolutely fine and came to do check quickly and smoothly. Thank you!!!

Employee clearly wasn't following safety protocols for Covid. Wasn't wearing a mask, didn't encourage other to, and the van cab was filthy. No sign of cleaning out the space between users. Even had to wait while he tended to some guy (who was behind me in line) as they went out to talk about the guy's car and some electrical issue he was having. Talking closely with no masks on, they even shook hands afterward. WTF. I'm guessing this guy thinks the whole pandemic is some Trumpian hoax. Unbelievable disregard for others' health and safety. Never going there again.

The customer service is rude and I got dropped off the vehicle I rent at 1:30 pm. and they send me a bill that I dropped off the vehicle at 3:30 pm. The person in the morning when I pick up the vehicle, she wants to bring manually my credit card in the computer, she got her phone next to her (Shannon) I said your machine is unplugged and she replied to me like oh well I hope works; it takes a long time to works, I express to her that it was ok. I love U-Haul, the personnel needs to not use their phone while with a customer. Is sensitive information they have in their hands like a driver's license, email, address, and phone number and she was asking for a credit card when a cable was disconnected? NO, IS A BIG DEAL THAT SITUATION. The second person in the afternoon was rude and didn't welcome me or anything, she just said: leave the keys inside and I'll send you the final bill later and she turns around. Nothing like hi, how was your rental is anything I can do for you, or are you finish with your rental? Why if I have problems with the van or I want something else from the store, she didn't care!!! Not happy with this store, so please address this. Thank you.

Everything was great from the initial booking of the U-haul and drop off. It was easy to reschedule my date because of rain with no charge. The customer service was great! The clerk explained everything thoroughly and completely. The u-haul was set and ready for pick up with no problems. The text sent online check up for review of the Uhaul was good. It was a nice easy drop of with no hassle.

A brief overview of some of the functions of the vehicle would be good since I couldn't find a way to turn on the hazard lights and I also couldn't find a way to adjust the side view mirrors after checking everywhere. Having to return it by 4:45pm is kind of early as well. Also it seems like making a reservation online is useless if it isn't guaranteed. The employees at the Burien location were nice but I think the parking to return it is a little messy with cars blocking the way etc

The truck was very dirty, windshield covered in bugs and road debris. The interior of the cab was passable, not filthy. It really appeared that very little attention was paid to turning the truck around and we were worried that it would fail on the road. Fortunately, it ran fine.

At check out was told follow instructions to night drop. At Burien location was told $150. Xtra to night drop truck $50.00 to night drop RT trailer very disappointing I realize the trailers are easily stolen but I ran that location for 2 years with Zero stolen trucks or trailers from night drop. Stolen fuel but not units

I had reserved a truck from the Ballard location, and was called the morning of my reservation and told the truck I'd reserved had been stolen and the only available truck was in Burien. Obviously this bad luck and out of their control, but the result was U-Haul wasn't able to hold up their end of the agreed upon rental terms. We drove down to Burien to pick up the truck and the pick up process was fine, but we were still charged the full amount of miles traveled and threatened with a late fee if we returned the truck past our reservation time limit, even though we had to drive an extra 20+ miles to pickup the truck from this location.

So I reserved a truck a few days before and when I went to pick it up they told me that the truck I reserved wasn't available. They ended up getting me another truck but I had to return it within a few hours or they would charge me extra when originally had reserved for 6 hours. 😡

I made sure I filled the gas to exactly where it was before returning the truck, but yet was charged for gas. They just had me hand them the key when I returned it. They didn't give check the gas while I was there just charged me later. Feels like stealing from me. I don't want to go back and argue with the store and I don't have any proof now anyway. Wonder if that is why they don't give you final receipt in person? Feels like a scam.

First, I tried to rent from another location and use the pick up function on the app. The app did not work for me. I don't know if the app has problems with Android users but I am not alone in having problems. Second, Customer service at 1-800- Go Uhaul was no help whatsoever. Third, I went to the location at 200th and Pacific Hwy. There was an employee there named Frank. He was outstanding. He was very helpful. Excellent +++ Fourth, The store in Burien that I ended up renting from was also very helpful and professional.

The employees were receptive and helpful. The transaction was seemless for us to rent a van, move a couch, and return it. But I always feel like they could use some help and there is never enough employees. That could make the experience better.

This location was small, but overall was fine. Having my reservation moved last minute to a different location (25 minutes further away) was not pleasant though and cost extra in time, gas, and milage costs.

We got there on a Sunday mroning not too long after it opened and there was one person working and 5 people in front of us, including the person being waited on (who needed a tow hitch, and you know that just took forever). Seriously peeps, please consider more employees. It took forever! And I am still not sure I didn't get over charged on mileage.

This was a nightmare experience and I will most likely look to use a different company for any future needs. I reserved my truck weeks in advance for a one way move, and the day before the move (when it is too late for me to make any other arrangements) I get a call that uhaul cannot accommodate my reservation. Instead of picking up the truck in Kirkland and dropping off in burien as scheduled, I was told I would have to pick up the truck in burien, bring to Kirkland and return again in burien. I was shocked to hear that I would also have to pay all of the mileage to bring the truck from burien to Kirkland as they changed my move from a one way to local. The burien location was willing to give some sort of mileage discount, but it was still a very frustrating experience. The call center was incredibly unhelpful, basically telling me there's nothing they can do and getting me off the phone as quickly as possible. I had gone into the Kirkland location to see if there is anything to do, and they tried to help. The Kirkland location told me that their trafficking people are very under trained and not very good. I would have to say I agree. I have been telling all of my friends of this nightmare move, and encouraging all of them to use other companies for their moving needs.

I returned the 10 Ft truck rented same day about at 4:20p. I only drove about 15 miles. Filled up tank at Fred Meyer and returned. I have the key to an attendant and waited. She came back and told me "no need to wait, you will get receipt with net charges by an Email on file. As of now, I have nothing that shows that I have returned the truck and, my net charges should be $19.95 + 15 miles. It will help if U-Haul issues a short receipt upon return of vehicle or equipment.

HORRIBLE! Absolutely horrible experience and customer service experience. 1. We ordered to be picked up in Seattle and then was forced to pick up in burien instead. 2. Ordered the truck for 5 hours and then was told that we need to bring back an hour early for their convenience but still pay the 5 hour rate. 3. Drove exactly 50.7 miles but upon arrival that was had driven over 275miles was which isn't possibly since we only use the trucks for 3 hours and then was told to pay $500 when the agreed upon price was $137. 4. Was told to call manager tomorrow to fix charge. Called to fix charge and kept putting us on hold and then said they would call us back and never did. This was a horrible experience and would never recommend this to someone. We chose U-Haul over other companies because we had heard great things and the rate was ideal but this experience was far from ideal and we will not be returning. We also demand and refund and fix in our charge for the inconvenience and mess this company has caused.

It was terrible. I've booked a truck to pick up in Seattle and return in Kirkland and had to pick it up and return in Burien, wasting a lot of time and miles. I was only informed about this the day prior to pick up. If this was not already a terrible customer service, things got worst when they didn't have the equipment requested at the time of pick up so had 0 dollys to make my move. I'll never work with this company again.

Shannon was awesome. She helped with all of my needs. The issue was the person that was going to be dropping off the trailer was extended because he was late for his drop off time. So I was stuck with no trailer and I needed it that day because I was moving my daughter back to college. When I called customer service, they found me another trailer at another location, however the location was closed and I couldn't pick it up until the next day. I had the CSR change my reservation to pick up the trailer at the new location. As I'm sitting there, the trailer showed up, now the the issue was my reservation was changed to the new location and Shannon couldn't rent me the trailer until I called customer service back and have it changed back to original location. While I was hold with customer service, Shannon was able to do a new reservation and I was able to rent the trailer. This is the second time I have had an issue with renting equipment from you company. I would like a some sort of credit for the hassle that I had to go through to get my trailer. Once again, I really want to praise Shannon for her professionalism and how she handled the situation with me and also being by herself on a busy Saturday afternoon/evening. Make sure that Shannon gets the recognition she deserves.

1) When a customer walks in the door, ask for their conformation number. We went around with Shannon Essary for 10 minutes because she told us that she could not find the reservation and they had no trucks available even though I had reserved the truck two weeks in advance and had just re-confirmed it two days earlier. It wasn't until I had her look it up by confirmation number that she could find it after which all she could say was, "Oh, my bad, I was looking under the wrong Uhaul address." REALLY??!! You almost ruined our entire moving experience and couldn't even apologize?! 2) Make sure your equipment works. The ramp was very sticky and difficult to slide in/out - looks like it hasn't been greased in a long time. The front bumper was badly damaged when the truck was presented to me, and the passenger side-view mirror could not be adjusted (it just hung down giving me a perfect view of the asphalt, but not of the lane next to me- very dangerous!). I had to jerry-rig it with a wadded up paper towel to ensure driver safety and that I could see the lane next to me. 3) Have the items specified in the order already loaded in the truck and ready to go. I had ordered a utility dolly and 10 moving blankets. It's a good thing we looked in the back of the truck before driving off! When I asked Shannon where they were, she said, "Oh, they are over there by the entry door." It would have been great to have been told that before we were ready to drive off since we walked by them on the way out of the office and nothing was said. 4) Attitude/ Customer Service - Shannon's attitude toward us was very uncaring and non-professional. Someone needs to teach her to focus on customer service and to treat others how she would expect to be treated. Put herself in their shoes. I was told by the online reservation agent that I could not return the trailer after hours. When I picked the trailer up Sat, Aug 24th at 10 am, the on-staff agent said that I "could" return it after hours. I told her that the on-line agent said I couldn't, but she insisted that trailers could be returned, she said only trucks, etc were not accepted after hours. After finishing my tasks, I called the locations on-site phone number twice to confirm I could drop off after hours, both times, during open hours, the call went directly to voice mail and no one ever responded to my inquiry. So after a long day, when I tried to return the trailer after hours, the online U-haul agent said that I had to return it during business hours or I would be held responsible if it was stolen off the lot. So after a long day, I took it back home. Really a pain the a$$! The only upside was when I did return the trailer the following, a different agent, Shanno was very sympathetic and apologies for the misunderstanding. She also confirmed that the trailer could not be returned after hours. I've used U-Haul many times & this was the 1st sign of incompetence I've incurred. No wonder this location only has 2 stars! They need to hire more staff like Shannon...

The uhaul truck we rented was filled with trash from the previous customer. We were unaware of this until we were ready to load the truck so it forced us to clean up prior to being able to move our belongings. The truck clearly was marked with decals that stated the truck needed to be cleaned prior to returning it but this truck was obviously never checked by the staff. Also, the night prior to our scheduled rental date I was informed not only that our previously scheduled one way rental was not available but that I would also need to go to another location to pick up the truck. Then after arriving at the new location I was told they didn't have any furniture pads for us to use even though they were clearly reserved online a week prior to the rental date. I am disappointed by the service and will not recommend this location to anyone.

Your staff is typically amazing so you must be doing something right! However, they seem to operate with little supervision and little training and few processes. They had no idea how to handle an upset customer (me) when I came in after my unit had been broken into. They need more support there. All they did was look uncomfortable and shrug their shoulders.Whoever the woman was that proactively reached out to me and finalized my move out was especially helpful the past few times I was there. I wish I knew her name. As far as the facilities, they are are dirty and stinky and messy. I wished we had moved out sooner.

Lock was jammed on reserved truck so had to switch to a smaller truck but was charged the same amount. Dolly frame was broken but still usable, dolly mount wingnut was stuck. Passenger mirror on truck could not be adjusted properly.

The van assigned via the mobile app was parked behind another van so I had to wait in line for an attendant to come out and move the blocking van. Staff were very helpful, but seems like the procedure for assigning vans needs some tweaking. I know this is a tricky problem and think the mobile app is impressive and staff here are good, just providing some feedback.

Apparently need to hire armed security at night for this site. Gas tanks are constantly being drilled out or gas is being syphoned out apparently on a near nightly basis. Having to immediatly go get gas because the tanks on the trucks are all empty from the previous nights thefts is a huge inconveniece to employees and an unnecessary inconvenience to customers.

Train staff on cross referencing online and instore reservations for services and products. Customer service training on not flat out blaming customers for misunderstandings. Wording themselves professionally and giving excuses that their poor performance is due to frustations with too many customers.

I have been trying to get ahold of someone about my charges for several days but no one can be bothered to answer the phone. We used the truck for less than an hour to just move one large item from one house to another locally for a total of 5 miles driven. We were obviously somehow charged for someone else's truck because it said we drove 55 miles, that we didn't turn our truck in until the following day, and that we returned the truck with a full tank of gas (which we didn't). I would like someone to correct this but no one will respond to my email or answer the phone at the shop or at the 800 number.

The location was fine. On driving to pick the truck up we were contacted and informed our reservation had been cancelled and there was not truck. After a lot of back and forth a truck was located 25 miles away that we had to go get.

Check/validate the fuel in vehicles bc we had to pay more than our actual consumption in a PREVIOUS truck rental. The previous renters of the truck did not refuel to full before returning the vehicle. My husband did not formally complain to UHAUL about it. This rental experience was much better from that perspective.

These folks are great. Super helpful and friendly, they stored my single Ubox for a brief time until I could come and get it, and then made it easy to pick it up and bring back. Highly recommended!
