Jonathan R. treated me like trash in front of my 12 yr old son and changed my outside store room to an inside store room all because he said he saw notes on my account about declining to tow a car trailer behind a 20 ft. uhaul truck and dropping off at a different location. He changed it from a 10x10x11 outside room to a 5x10x10 inside room. I tried to explain that I had no where to back up a car trailer when loading the uhaul truck and that I also was not the one driving it. I explained I could not drop off at any other location other than the one chosen which was also the one I reserved a store room from because I was not the one driving it and had someone pick up my kids and I and I couldn't make them do any of that, as they were already going out of their way to help me. We didn't even get finished unloading until around 10pm which the woman that picked my kids and I up, was supposed to be in bed by 8 pm because of medication she was on and her being 70+ yrs of age. The way this employee Jonathan R. spoke to me infront of my son was nothing short of disgusting. My son was very upset after asking me why Jonathan R. was treating me that way for no reason. How sad that a young man has to see a grown man treat a woman that way. I also noticed the manager Carl Moren sitting in a vehicle facing the storage room entrance/exit as I came out of it one day to leave, just staring at me with a very dirty look as if to intimidate me. That seems like stalking to me and is very creepy. I believe he did that because I asked for Jonathan R's name, so I'm sure they knew I was going to file a complaint. The whole situation is very creepy and unsettling. I never went back to retrieve my items out of my store room after that until the day I moved out of it and made sure I had 2 men and my mother with me. It's completely ridiculous to be treated this way because I could not complete favors they asked me to do. I was treated like an enemy which is very concerning. I would not recommend anyone to this uhaul location as they like to get revenge on people who can't do favors for them. There was also another employee right there that allowed the whole interaction and foul treatment of a customer (me) to play out. Everything is on camera, the evening of May 29th 2026. I gave business to and spent a lot of money with the uhaul company for this move and to be treated like this is a disgrace on not only this location in Happy Valley, OR but to the company, who employs people like Jonathan R. This has made me VERY hesitant to do any further business with any uhaul facility in the future.

The location was swapped out at the last minute and we had to drive across town, then when we arrived we stood in line for over an hour unsure of what to do as the lobby had no staff, just other anxious customers. When the employees came in they took care of us quite quickly but it’s real weird to be in the place for so long with no customer service at all

We agreed to go 50 miles out of our way to return the 15' truck to a location that would help you out after receiving a couple calls asking us to do this. It was explained that as an incentive we would not need to fill the gas tank of the truck, but would only need to have something like a quarter of a tank of gas left in the truck. When we went to leave off the truck I put 4 gallons of gas into the truck and wasn't sure just how much this left in the tank, but after driving the 25 miles to the drop off point from our home it turned out that there was less than a quarter tank left (having driven 25 extra miles to get to the new drop off location). Your people at the drop off location were very courteous, but explained that they had to follow your rules and so charged us for not having the quarter of a tank left in the tank. This policy is very off-putting and will mean that we won't offer to help out in the future. I would suggest that you review this policy and maybe tell people how many gallons need to be in the tank for it to be a quarter full. You should also adjust for how far the customer has to drive out of the way to help you out. In our case we drove 50 miles out of our way to help you out and got an extra bill from you for having helped you out!

I just wanted to express my gratitude for the help from employees that went above and beyond expectations. What I hooked up my trailer, we discovered that the right turn signal was not working. I started doing diagnostics, and he was very patient. Did not rush me, did not pressure me. He went back into the store and got one of those converter electoral that goes from flat pin to the other type that plugs in your car. And it turns out that was bad. So thank God, he went inside and got a park and tested it or else. I would have never guessed it was that connector

The only disappointment is that we reserved the truck to drop off at Foster Rd. exit, much closer to us, and it was switched to Happy Valley with no notification. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have rented a trailer from this location. Each time I did it through the Android App - each time I used the pre-check in by putting in my Credit Card, making copies of my Driver's license etc. And each time I arrive at the store and they don't have that information in their system - I have to go through the process all over again with them. You need either to delete the online registration or fix the information being transmitted to the location. This is why I have given an average rating - if I did not have to do this every time I have rented then I would have given 5 stars - but "every" time your system did NOT work.

Hire more people and get a manager that does not scold the help like little kid in front of the customers. That was when I picked up the rental.. When I returned the rental not enough help, one person could not answer a question and second was in bathroom for over 30 minutes. The only person at the counter was overwhelmed but kept trying to get someone in to help.

I had to move to a new unit at the last second and I had some problems with accessing the storage unit. Justin at the Clackamas Uhaul center was super helpful and solved the problems immediately! Im especially appreciative because I was in the middle of a very stressful move and it was nice to not worry about last second hitches.

This location is very secure, they are firm on their words. This was my first storage unit Ive had for 5 years, and no problems ever. Opened it only 1 time which was after 5 years! clean, safe, with good AC and easy parking. Carl handled our move-in and was fantastic. I didn't get the name of the representative who did our move-out, but he was ALSO fantastic. I had one of the larger storage spaces with the garage-style door, at the very far end of the building, and the rep very kindly unlocked the door of the storage building for me, so that I could walk through the AC-controlled building and not across the hot parking lot. Such a small detail, but a perfect example of the level of customer service i received. will def recommend this space to any friends or family looking for storage. thanks again to Carl and his staff!

When I first arrived I had no idea where to go or what I was doing. I finally had a little help from one person then to make matters worse there was no where to put a 26ft truck with car transport but 1 spot. Then a uhaul employee purposely parks multiple uhaul s around me and boxes me in. I only know that because I went into store and over heard him and another employee talking about it and laughing at me. Honestly I'm upset feel like I'm stupid and never want to go back. If I woulda just had a little direction or help it could have been avoided. But childish games made my uhaul return late and the rest of my stuff literally left in the rain down the street.

The gentleman that checked us in got visibility irritated when I said I hadn’t been able to complete the move in electronically. When I made the call to reserve the unit I wasn’t told that a “round” lock was required, then because the unit was actually 2 units next to each other I had to buy 2! We ended up not needing the unit, never put stuff in it, or put a lock on it, and we checked in on the 10th, and checked out on the 12th, and got no money back. I called the storage manager, and never got a call back. The only bright spot we’re the 2 employees that helped us check out on the 12th, I could tell that they cared.

When my family and I arrived to check in to our storage unit UHaul provided for the truck rental and 4 state move we had just done, we notice right away that the access was rough to get to the units. We walked in and the guy at the counter was never quiet and non responsive to questions and concerns and took over and hour to check us in and struggled the entire time and even though he was standing there with 3 other guys around that clearly had more experience, he didn't ask for help nor did anyone offer him help when they saw him struggling and our growing frustration and not knowing what was going on. By the time we got to the end of check in, the unit that had been reserved for us for over two weeks was not available and they were giving us two smaller units side by side which was not gonna work for us and not only that but the large unit for a 3+ bedroom home was up stairs and inside which was not feasible and the only way up was some rickety stairs on outside of building that were too narrow and had and awning that prevented any large furniture from getting up them. We canceled the whole thing and went down the street to Public Storage and their service and ease of access and timeliness far exceeded uhaul.

I was a customer for years and it was fine but then without notice there was no where to park while getting things in or out of my unit if it was during business hours. I found out it was because they started renting cars, so that took all the spaces storage customers had. Profits before people will kill any business!

Ground level outdoor unit, appreciated very convenient drive up and simple access- However, to be helpful- seasonal outdoor maintenance use of leaf blowers regularly pushed debris, paint chips, dirt, and dust under my unit door and onto my stored belongings. Stored papers, furniture, textiles, equipment and art were all affected, with layers of dirt clinging to some vulnerable items. Not entirely unexpected, nor was I significantly disappointed... Thank you.

The facility owner, Justin, was especially kind one day when a stray dog came running up to me as I was bringing things outside from my unit — I asked for help and he put the dog in his car to stay safe until we figured out what to do (the owner finally came by).

My rating would have been Excellent but the most recent experience I have last December 20, 2022, the door latch was disappointing as it was badly done and my disc lock would not go through. We alerted the office at once and for some reason it was not tended to and I received a voice message (thank you for that anyway) that I don't have a lock, and that is the reason why. I apologize as I should have made a temporary lock to secure it before leaving my things. I was on a time scrunch and decided to attend to it later. Jonathan went back yesterday and the latch was still not done. I believe the manager took care of it in 5 minutes. Now that, is the excellent part. I am grateful for Seth for helping with my move-in procedures, inspite of a few hiccups.

I have always used U-Haul and always been happy with no issues until 6 months ago when I needed a storage unit and used another that was very close to my place. BAD mistake that I will never ever do again and will still always recommend U-Haul. Someone camping out inside the storage unit we think broke out my lock and had time to go through all my boxes and stole so much stuff! Emptied out the unit the following weekend.

All my reservations were by phone. U-box very clean, delivered door to door. Both San Francisco & Portland staff friendly & helpful, willing to change pickup dates. Billing clear in advance. Awesome!
