I thought when I turned in the truck I would have to go in the office, and wait around. To my surprise when I drove up to turn it in. The employee took care of it all on the phone and I was done. On my way home, I like not having to stand around. Keep the it the way it is, it's great.SHEILA A T.

Systems slow or not working. The person who helped me needed constant help from others and the computer systems were not running properly. Ditto the payment terminal. Two hours later, I arrived at 30 seconds after 7pm, group of workers outside working on a return in front of me. Claimed it was policy they couldn't accept my return and all ran inside, so I had to download an app and do the return myself. Zero stars.LETITIA KATHERIN L.

You have an excellent crew there. I was probably the best U-Haul customer in the Portland area in April and May ($$$$$). Surprisingly, they got to a point where they greeted me by name. The person who helped me was borderline rude, wouldn't answer me when I asked questions but when he forgot to include the furniture dolly I asked for he comped me without saying anything so all in all it's a wash, I would have rather paid the rent on the dolly though snd had someone help me that wanted my business, I've been renting there so much I feel like I ought to be a preferred customerJOSEPH F.

Your online return is a joke this is the second time I have used it and it doesn't work for me. For whatever reason your site won't allow me to access my gps so it will make sure I'm at the right property. There needs to be an override option.CORY R.
U-Haul could stop finding new ways to charge more money. For example, charging extra to extend a rental when the truck just sit on the lot otherwise or charging per mile. I have rented U-Haul trucks almost a hundred times over the last four decades. This will be the last time. You don't care about customers and appear willing to charge more during the pandemic. The movers were all excellent. Don and Co were great! However, Uhaul customer service was a nightmare, possibly the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I spent over 4 hours on hold over several calls, getting passed from one department to the next and it took a complaint to the regional manager to get help.Alejandro Rene G.
U-haul attempted to charge us for a month of box rental for a box that we didnt even order/use. After MULTIPLE, frustrating calls to your national CS #, including 15+ minute on hold sessions, we were still not able to remove the unwarranted charge. Each time we were promised a call back which never came. Agents were courteous, but inept and did not handle the issue. So we were very happy with the pickup and delivery of our box, but very dissatisfied with the "mystery box rental" issue that took over a week to resolve. I would have rated higher except for the following: 1) Wait time of 25 minutes standing before being helped even though there was only one person in front of me. 2) No on site parking. Was told I could "park offsite at my own risk". When I pointed out open space on the property, was told I couldn't have it. The area is not great, with loads of vagrants around, and I didn't want my convertible broken into. This was very disappointing and will make me avoid this location in the future.CHRISTOPHER B.

Horrible service...got to the store rite before 7:00 pm trying to return the trailer i had rented earlier that day ..all employees where in a hurry to leave and i even tried to get one of them the attention totally ignored me after several attempts .. went in on the side door since I saw other employees at the counter manager "Paul" said we are closed ..still helping costumers all i said I'm just returning the trailer totally and very rude "we are closed" with elevated tone of voice" not willing to help at all and said i had to log in to after hrs return website .. i asked how to do so since i didnt have the slightest idea and how come i have to do it since you are rite here and just takes a sec to close me out.. started to yell at me to get out of he's store and that wouldn't help and for me to figure it out ..really?? Took me almost 45 minutes to finally do it on line and at almost 8pm they where still there..horrible service they where even smiling at me after i had a horrible experience. We rented a pickup truck and a furniture dolly, and they worked great for us! The truck had a full gas tank, and was reasonably clean. I'm not sure if U-Haul rents straps to hold furniture in place, but we definitely could have used those, we just didn't think about it. The guy that helped us at the counter was also very nice, friendly, and helpful!Jaici S.
Explain Tow/haul light. The truck moved haltingly sometimes. If I would've known how to make it stop I would've done so. Apparently it is on the signal stick off the steering wheel. I returned the 15 foot truck and told the rental staff that the fuel gauge was stuck just below a half tank when I went to refuel at Costco down the street. I put $20 in and the gauge did not move. Put in another $20 and the gauge did not move. While driving back to the U-Haul center the gauge jumped to full. I furnished both receipts and was told it did not matter because they don't refund for overfilling as per the contract. However, I was asking, not because I overfilled, but because the gas gauge was not working properly. Letter of the contract has nothing to do with the spirit of good service. I have always used U-Haul and always been happy with no issues until 6 months ago when I needed a storage unit and used another that was very close to my place. BAD mistake that I will never ever do again and will still always recommend U-Haul. Someone camping out inside the storage unit we think broke out my lock and had time to go through all my boxes and stole so much stuff!
