It took an hour for us to pick up our rental! We do not use the mobile pick-up because the two times we've tried the system glitches and we end up having to get in line anyway. Today there appeared to only be one representative doing check-outs so we waited and waited in line. When it was our turn the truck we had been assigned was missing the key. Other than that, the location seems ideal (huge with lots of inventory). So hopefully today was just a fluke.REMY M.
No truck was available and I booked this appointment 3 weeks in advance! We waited in line almost an hour to be helped and it was busy! Only two people were working! After begging them for anything they offered us a bugger truck but it had to be returned in Duwamish even though we live in Olympia. Overall, I'm very unhappy with UHaul!!RACHEL B.
Both on pick up and drop off I had to approach service rep at the desk to even be acknowledged I was there and needed help. Other workers out and about were helpful, but the front desk workers did not even greet or notice I had walked in on both pick up or return.RONALD R.

Unfortunately we had a very negative experience. First, the wrong size was reserved for us. When we requested a larger size, we were told to call a specific number to request it (why the agent did not help us with this, I'm not sure). The woman on the phone first told us there was a larger size available at another location, and then later told us there was no larger size, only the smallest (10' truck). I told her in that case, we would like to rent two 10' trucks. She said I would have to make a second reservation and that was no problem with me. She originally said I could do that over the phone with her. She then put me on hold and when she came back she said that was not possible, and that in fact they did not even have the original 10' truck associated with our reservation. The woman on-site told us they did have that 10' truck available on site, and the woman on the phone said she had just spoke with the folks onsite and that they did not. Her communication was very rude as well. I thanked her for her time and told her I was going to go inside to proceed with the 10' truck associated with our reservation that the people on site said was available. When I went inside the office, the woman on the phone had completely cancelled our reservation! Thankfully, there was a young man working who stepped in because he understood that I had not cancelled my reservation. It took awhile, but he was able to resolve that issue and give us the 10' truck. I am very grateful for him and wish I knew his name to give him a good review. I was very frustrated with the rest of the service and will not be using u-haul next time I move. We opted not to make a second reservation for an additional truck and instead rented from Home Depot, where we had a much better experience.SARA B.

the truck wasn't ready on time and the employee said we hadn't paid for blankets although we had prepaid for them. we had to go back and get them. however they apologized and were very nice and the truck itself was in good shape and did the job!Anna D.

This team has changed my opinion of Uhual. Previously experience at other locations were always frustrating and disappointing, but this location has a great team and take customer service seriously. Our reservation was moved from around the corner to 12 miles away in Tukwila. We were supposed to be contacted on Thursday by 6 for confirmation but we got a message around 8:45pm Friday saying our reservation moved and we saw the message the morning of our reservation. We needed to then drive instead of walk to get our truck, and there was only 1 person working which took about an hour waiting in line. While checking in, police called to report they found a trailer that was stolen which also added time to our wait. The person who checked us in was lovely and helpful, offering a discount for our troubles, which was very gracious and made the inconvenience easier to bear.JAMES V.

First of all, this wasn't the location that I had booked the reservation at. Second, when we arrived to pickup the rental, they didn't have any of the trucks left so they had to scramble to get me a van and the check out process took forever. When it was time to return, they tried to charge me the van rate instead of the truck rate and also tried to tell me that I traveled 130+ miles which I know we didn't. When I tried to dispute the sales person, the woman said, "didn't you check the miles before you left the lot?, we that's why we send emailed reminding..." Unfortunately, I just wanted get the heck out of the office after so much running around when we were trying to check out, and secondly, NO there wasn't any email that said for me to check my mileage before leaving the building. Not sure what kind of shady business they are running and not doing the error was made on their part for not having the vehicle that was rented. Out family has rented from U-Haul on many occasions but this was the by far the poorest customer service we've ever received.SONNY M.

I made a reservation to pick up the truck I rented at the Renton highlands. I received a confirmation email and was told the truck to be there. When the time comes to pick up the truck I find out it is at a different location. I never received an email telling me that. So I had to not only take more time out of my day to go pick up the truck, I had to pay more for the extra mileage and gas. The pickup location seemed really short-staffed/unprepared. We arrived at 7am for our appointed pickup time and waited 45 minutes while a bunch of guys stood/sat around talking to each other behind the counter. They never addressed the frustrated line of customers with a "thanks for your patience/sorry for the wait." Finally, a young woman showed up and was very helpful and apologetic about the delay. This was my second rental of a 15' truck in 3 weeks. The first rental went very smoothly. The second was frantic from the get-go, when I was told no similarly sized trucks were available after I made my reservation. The day before our move we were scrambling to make alternate arrangements. I was told several times that a scheduler would call us. Never received a call. Later, I found an email with the pickup location and time. We were relieved that a truck was available, but had an extra hour of driving to and from the very disorganized and not at all customer-orient. We were in in middle of an unprecedented heat wave, so each minute we were delayed, the temperature went up. Could have used that hour and the 45 minutes in line to load our truck while it wasn't sweltering outside.ANDREW KEITH M.

Prices are competitive but it's apparent that the company's system needs updating. 1. In the same booking, I ordered ready to go boxes and supplies. The pick up location was made at 2 different locations which was not apparent during the booking process and confirmation email. This caused confusion during pick up. 2. Pick up was relatively smooth 3. Drop off took longer than expected due to issues with the system. The associate was visibly frustrated as he could not get a signal to input that the equipment had been returned. I returned the equipment in 2 trips on the same day. Somehow this created a new reservation that falsely indicated I picked up additional boxes on the day I returned them and I found out a few days later via text message. I called customer service and they promised to follow up the next day, which they did not. I called back again the following day and they said they would call me back the next day. When I called back today, they were able to resolve the issue and send a confirmation email. All of this to rent 15 ready to go boxes. The price was great but I guess you get what you pay for in a sense.Kaili N.

This location was very helpful. However, my reservation was originally at a different location. When I got there, they did not have my truck available. The representative called Uhaul and was told that because I booked via uhaul.com, it was double booked. I don't really understand this reasoning. I do know that, because my husband had dropped me off (I planned to drive the uhaul home), I had to Uber to another location (Duwamish) and got a late start on my move. I ended up having to reschedule several other activities that day as a result. I felt very frustrated.Rachel P.

Schedule the pickup at the closest location, not the place most convenient for U-Haul! I had to find this place by calling around; you wanted to send me far away to return the trailer. The manager there actually answered the phone (unlike other nearby locations that were supposedly open) and was very friendly and helpful.Robert L.

If you cannot guarantee a certain size truck, do NOT send an email saying so, then inexplicably cancel said reservation a day before scheduled pickup, leaving customer to scramble for new truck, spending over two hours on phone with Uhaul. This happened to us.JEFFREY B.

Choose a more reliable 3rd party shipper. My box arrived 4 days late. Havent heard from u box about a refund as I was told I would and the pickup location had very limited space to allow us to unload box on site. They chose a location 70 miles from where we moved when there was a closer location only 18 miles from where we moved that has a much larger lot for customers to load/unload at.terry C.

The u-box I first picked up looked like someone to an axe to it. It was not sturdy and did not look secure. When I requested a new u-box, my reservation got all messed up and my delivery date got pushed out two days just because my box number changed. I also got double charged for the box since I changed numbers. Overall it was not a great experience and now my box is going to show up late.STEPHANIE W.
