I luckily never had any issues with my things being taken. However, there was a water damage issue. And this particular facility has homeless people living there inside the lockers. There were several times I couldn’t get my things moved because people living in the lockers on the top floors would purposely leave the elevator doors open so that ppl couldn’t disturb them. I’ve used the steps to walk up and gain access to the elevator and there’s so many people living in this facility it may as well be a homeless shelter. It’s ridiculous. That needs to be taken care of. There’s nothing wrong with the staff, they were always really nice. But the homeless issue made me feel very unsafe and was an inconvenience.Mercedes J. | Overall Experience

My experience was horrible! They sold me a storage space that was already in use over a month ago. I was told I would have the lock included inside the facility. That was a lie I had to buy locks. I was given to other units because of the mix up and still charged more for there mistake for selling me a storage that was already in use. The worst part was that before I went in I called to check availability of the storage space and everything was fine. Transforming my move here was the worst experience of my life I give them a 0 on everything nothing was good. the manager was horrible I called customer service and Traffic so much. They sent me through so much I cried several time and couldn't get any help. the Manager there had denied me to move my stuff in, after the lady at Midway had moved me in there. he had put something in my storage and said I couldn't have the room. I had to drive all the way over to midway and the lady had came back with me we looked for a room for about a hour then we went to the storage I was suppose to have and he had put like 20 items in it, so her, my kids, and myself moved the items so we could move in. I spent over $1,200 moving here and was treated so poorly I want some type of compensation back. there was more than this that happen this is just to sum it up all you have to do is listen to the recorded callslashawn O.

At time of pick up guy was friendly but I was miss inform by him that someone already selected a drop off location different from the one he told me I can go and drop it off to that got me mad after 2 day that I receive a call from uhall saying I was late on the drop off of the vehicle. My moving journey was made BETTER by the professional people like Barney and Marinerva who excel in giving me the best place to put my stuff and the experience to offer me the storage unit without any fees for 1 month free, that is a deal that I can use and without their help I would not have chosen to store my things at a U-HAUL place, but the timing and service from them made it BETTER THAN EVER. This guy Barney is heaven sent!! Him, plus Uhaul services made my family move and storage so easy, affordable and smooth. I would recommend to any and everyone. Also, my storage unit facility was very clean. A worker by the name Marinerva, had the place smelling great and was very helpful in translating to a non-english customer for me. After filing a corporate complaint on Saturday from the locations not having my reserved truck, as well as against a General Manager Chrissy Rivera, I almost gave up on using UHaul altogether... But the GM Edwin Clay, as well as an associate Devonte, they went above and beyond to assess my needs and were very understanding and empathetic during my stressful moving period. The entire rental process at Uhaul was terrible. I reserved a truck weeks in advance only to be called the day before to be told that there were no trucks available. I had to wait until the next day and when I arrived in the store I was told there still was no truck for me. This is entirely unacceptable on the part of Uhaul corporation. If it had not been for Edwin and his team who went above and beyond their job descriptions (and eventually had to give me a damaged truck), I would have had to pay thousands of dollars in extra rent and lost wages. These logistics problems that Uhaul seems to face have been solved by other industries (see rental cars for a good example) so there are no excuses for this type of delay. Also, telling the customer, as Angel in the Chicago dispatch office did, "to be flexible" is not an appropriate response to the problem, especially after two consecutive days of unavailable equipment.Chris S.

My name is Stephen Curry. I rented a U-Haul truck this week from U-Haul Storage of Marquette Park, 2540 W. 63rd St., Chicago, IL 60629. The manager who worked with me was Edwin Clay. I have to tell you that Edwin gave me the best customer service that I have ever received. He called me several times to let me know the details about my 15' truck rental. When changes were needed in my schedule, he worked them all out and called me to confirm everything. When I went to pick up the truck, he parked it in the shade for me so that it wasn't hot when I got into it. He was always calm and helpful with each detail. It truly was service with a smile!
