TESFAYE BI returned the dolly a day early to avoid being charged more and when I returned the truck the next day I was charged for the dolly for that extra day I didn’t use it. I drove an hour out of my way to drop off the dolly early, and explained why I did. I called to get the charge fixed and had a lady with attitude tell me that I’m getting charged for it anyway. I said that’s why I drove there early and she said “well I didn’t hear you say that.” Terrible service and will now have to call corporate to fix this.

DAVID PThe Asian lady (the only one at this location , don’t know her name) gave me a terrible service. I asked multiple times about pricing and she was being dismissed about pricing instead of looking into why my final fee was more than usual. She alluded to the selected options I made being the reason why my bill went up but I asked her multiple times ( 3 times why my bill was so high) about pricing. My understanding is that the uhual crew is there to inform customers, not to be dismissive towards concerns and then play the naïve card. My apologies for the unprofessional complaint but this is unacceptable because i asked multiple times regarding pricing.

Keith was the person who helped me in person with both the truck pick up and return, and I very much appreciated his help.

LYNDA WNothing! Everything went great with drop off. Staff were ready and available to help, talked me through everything very quickly, and had me on my way in a matter of minutes.
AMBER GFirst off, I didn't choose this location. U-Haul moved my reservation to this store for unknown reasons, considering it's probably only a couple of miles from the Roosevelt store, where I reserved a truck and prepaid for moving supplies. They rather rudely said that I would have to go to the other store for the things I already paid for or make my own arrangements to get my money back. They didn't really do anything for me. They just pointed out the dolly and the pads and I had to carry the stuff out to the truck in the rain and they also pointed me to the wrong truck so I'm wandering around their lot in the rain for minutes trying to compare serial numbers to the key I was given. The truck was parked so close to others that I had to scramble in the passenger side to start it and then pull it forward to put the dolly and pads in the back. The whole experience was shitty and had the flavor of "we don't give a fuck". And I still need to get my money back from the other place. Fuck you, U-Haul and especially, fuck this store and whoever decided to send me there rather than the move a 15' truck to the Roosevelt store where I made the reservation. U-Haul owes me money.

CHAD WThe humans who helped during pickup and drop off were each top notch! The U-Haul computer, software, and electronic communication w/customer were and are a nightmare to deal with. I was second in line to pick up truck, at opening/reserved time, yet it took an hour as your system repeatedly glitched out. Too many separate receipts! For one move, which included truck, supplies and rental crates, I ended up with five supposed receipts in separate transactions, and the amounts taken from my credit card make no sense. I will find out when I get my visa bill just how messed up U-Hauls payment system actually ripped me off.

GEORGE GFix your equipment. The lights were hanging out of the tow dolly I rented. I used the dolly in the dark with tail lights dangling and jumping around. Also, it is ridiculously heavy. You guys need a way to drop off with assistance. I was there 15 minutes after closing. You were all still there and no one helped me lift the heavy thing from my hitch. Not cool.
AMBER DStaff was very helpful and thorough once we were able to be helped. Unfortunately, there were long lines and they were busy. we were confused about where to park the truck and how to check out. I tried checking out online, Wi-Fi was so slow I kept getting shut down, couldn’t find the key drop. It took over an hour to check out.
DEBRA BMy van truck wasn't full of gas. The rear roll up door was challenging to close. So I oiled the rollers and the pull cord. This should be maintained better. My trucks engine was running a touch rough...the idle would be off at times. Needs a tune up! Besides that the staff was great. The young lady checking in the trucks was awesome despite being 7 trucks deep! The whole staff was friendly making something painful a touch better.

JAMI TGreat intentions and staff; terrible lack of information, both on the website and during the sales process; super confusing process. - Have a much clearer description on the website about how U-Box work. And measurements highly visible upfront. - Clarify the schedule for U-Box access and the policies upfront, instead of drop by drop over a few days - Provide information about how many boxes of different sizes, maybe sample furniture, fit on a U-Box. Even better, equivalence between a fully loaded U-Haul truck on different sizes, vs. a U-Box. - Allow scheduling with less than 24 hours in advance. If you don't finish loading what you expect by the evening, particularly as you were just notified of a shorter schedule than other days, that's the logical time to schedule for tomorrow; but the system didn't allow. - Send the contract first. Not after I finish loading and close the containers - Make sure clarity shows among the big contract. For example, the big contract talks about all insurance situations, even when purchasing insurance it goes pages on what happens if I don't have it...
BRUNO GU-Haul of lynnwood seems like a better option for reliable eastside access. Everything was quite expensive for the service that was provided. Hours of shoreline location close earlier than other locations (movers told me), box was put on backwards for pickup. Staff was nice tho. Struggled with U-Haul’s app (cancelling the mover thru the phone didn’t cancel the reservation which confused them understandably).
Alexia NThere was a long wait to sign out our rental. The staff, however, was very friendly and competent.
LEILA GThe in person staff member was good, and helpful, but everything else about the process was worse than my prior experiences with U-Haul. This is entirely the fault of the U-Haul larger organization, and not the specific location. 1. Pickup is much slower than it used to be, because they use much more technology. It was taking 15 minutes per person to process truck pickups because of all of the technology things they make you do to pick up the truck (e.g., taking photos of yourself and your ID with a phone, processing various texts with your phone (does this mean only a person with a cell phone can rent trucks now?). So, it took a long time to pick up the truck. Much longer than ever before. 2. U-Haul intentionally withheld the price and reservation details from the confirmation email, so there is no way for you to confirm what you were offered, unless you thought to take a screen shot at the time. Then when I picked up the truck, they attempted to charge 50% more than the agreed price. There was no way other than memory to be certain they had done this. Only once I complained, and the in person staff member spent a lengthy period of time on the phone with someone at a different location (head office?) was I given the already agreed price. Renting from U-Haul used to be simple and straightforward, but now they appear to be similar to the worst kind of car rental companies. 3. Online reservation experience was poor. Much worse than before when all you needed to do was call them and reserve a truck. Insufficient information was provided on the website when booking. I had to call the 1-800 number to get more information about the drop off location because it was not available online. Even then, they failed to tell me that the specific drop off location (in Bellingham) has a secret policy that is only disclosed at the drop off location, of charging extra when you do the drop off, unless you do extra technology steps like downloading a special app. Not something you want to find out in the middle of a weekend when the site has no staff.
CHRISTOPHER DThe check-in process is overly complicated and lengthy. We had filled out the online pre-check-in forms with ID photos but when we arrived we were told we had to resubmit everything. And after going through the entire 20 minute process the employee helping us said the computer wouldn't save and we had to start from the beginning. Finally got through the process and he hadn't even been working on the correct part of our two-part reservation. Then when we received our equipment - the tow dolly we were provided was hooked up and we were told we were all set and upon a quick glance the tow dolly ratchet straps were completely broken and unusable. Which was easily fixed and replaced with another dolly but it should never have been hooked up. If we hadn't noticed it seemed no employee would have.

Frank TI rented a a 20 feet track and addressed my needs, when I return it i was told that the track inside was dusty and i had to clean it or charged a cleaning fee. I ask to let me use the mop and the bucket to clean it and i clean it and i was not charged for that what it was good. When checking the truck out everything went smooth but I have to mentioned that Theo even though he allow me to clean the truck with your mop, he is not a very people person and frankly it made my return very uncomfortable, I simply in a very nice way when he was checking the gas touch his shoulder as a gesture for letting use the mop and he very unpleasantly said that could you not touch me, like I was molesting him. It felt extremely unpleasant to the point that I will not choose this location in the future. People dealing with clients should have better peoples skills. I would not put that person in front of clients.

Also fix the mobile app. The rental process needs improvement. In this age, customers dont use if the app is slow to respond in few second.

TYRONE BI estimated 20 mile of traveling when I rent the truck but only use 13 mile when I returned the truck. I never get the over estimate mileage usage back. This should be refunded back to my credit card.

They said they had a bunch that were for “ out of state “ rental only.Nobody from out of state was there so I had to drive to another city to get the trailer. When it could have generated revenue for your company instead of sitting around useless.

ANDREAS KThe staff at this location were not only wholly inadequate in their roles—the employee assisting us was even scolded by his supervisor in front of customers for mishandling our order—but they were also directly responsible for an unjustified overcharge on our account. While we were still in possession of the vehicle, we received a call from this location stating that the truck was due for return. We explained that the previous location had confirmed we were entitled to keep the vehicle for a few more days. Their response was simply, “Ok, sounds good,” yet they subsequently added a $275 charge to our account without any prior notice. We only learned of this charge after returning the vehicle. To compound matters, the staff provided no meaningful assistance with our claim regarding the truck’s non-functioning air conditioning—an issue that had already caused considerable hardship during our move.
GAVIN PVery professional and 10 star customer satisfaction. All the employees were very knowledgeable and professional. They went out of their way to ensure the entire process was as safe, legal, and not stressful for me! Their prices for some towing equipment I bought, were HUNDREDS of dollars cheaper than I was anticipating. 100 Star rating to this location, all the employees, and prices!!!
