Trailer was filthy inside. I told the vendor it looked like someone had hauled engine blocks in it. Smelled of oil, dirt and grease in the corners. Debris from previous rentals on the floor. I explained I was moving my daughter’s furniture. He wasn’t sympathetic. I asked for cardboard or blankets to put down to protect the furniture and mattresses from the filth. He said they had nothing. He finally produced one blanket. That he enforced with me that it had to be returned to him. Not impressed! I booked this rental online. Dresden was the most convenient for pickup and drop off. I wanted to walk away, but had arranged for help at the house loading. The trailer did the job, I finished moving my daughter. My wife had old blankets and bed sheets to put down to keep the furniture and mattresses clean. I returned the trailer. I told the vendor it needed to be power washed inside before it was rented again. Said he made a note on the rental return. My previous experience with U-Haul was fabulous! I rented from Schepen’s in Wallaceburg. They are not a vendor anymore. He walked me around the trailer, gave the interior a final broom out, and asked if I was satisfied with the condition prior to leaving. That’s what I expected from Ultramar in Dresden. I will never rent from them again!
