Pick up site was changed 2 days before the move and was further away, had messaged U-Haul to clarify I would be able to pick up at 9 as new location wasn’t open until 10 and was assured it would be a mobile pick up. When went to pick up the vehicle the location wasn’t open and it was not set up for mobile pick up. They were unable to find a different vehicle available. The person from the location called me 22 minutes after the reservation time and asked if we were getting the vehicle because they came early to give the vehicle. However, the sign on the door said closed and it wasn’t communicated that they would be there early and I was told by Uhaul it would be a mobile pick up. Then the person at the location was having technical difficulties and it took another 25 minutes to actually get the vehicle. The vehicle had basically no gas in it so had to stop and get gas on the way. All of this resulted in us not having enough elevator time to complete our move. Did get a $50 refund but would’ve much preferred to just have the vehicle on time and not having to rush to complete the move and not have enough time to finish it. To be clear this was not the locations fault it was Uhauls fault for changing the reservation and not updating it appropriately to a mobile pick up, nor communicating someone would be there early to allow us to get the vehicle. Also the technical problems are not their fault as well.

Ensure all items for the order are there on time for pick-up of the truck. Dollys, pads, etc. All staff who might need to use the vendor side of the program are trained and well versed in its operation.
