Verify the equipment ordered is in the truck. I didn’t get my moving pads or furniture dolly. I didn’t get reimbursed for it, even though I paid for it. The truck had a broken fuel gauge. I had to wait around for two hours for roadside assistance to show up and try to resolve the problem. We had to switch trucks, but the truck was already loaded. It took another 7 hours until that happened. Now I tried to get some kind of compensation for my troubles and was told I would get zero. Also, I had to reach out to U-Haul on my own because the desk person couldn’t help check us out. We started the checkout over the phone and used the app. I tried to check boxes I didn’t receive my moving pads and dolly weren’t loaded on the truck for me and add photos, but the app kept going back to the same screen. I finally called after being there for almost an hour. I had to leave because the movers were due to arrive at my residence in a few minutes. I was so frustrated and called to let them know I hadn’t left yet, and I never received the equipment I ordered. I asked if I could leave because my movers were showing up in a few minutes. I was told I had already been dispatched and could leave. I was also told I would be refunded for the dolly and moving pads I didn’t receive. Because I had to eventually switch trucks and the cargo inside, I eventually received the moving pads. I was never refunded for the dolly.
