I had problems setting up an account online in order to check out a truck on a Sunday because the reservation was for my school rather than personal usage. I could not find my reservation using the Uhaul app, which made the preparations very frustrating because that's what I was told to use. Instead, I went to Uhaul.com, and though I was able to locate my account, I still didn't have access to all of the reservation. I called the help phone number and received assistance twice, and she was very nice and patient; I appreciated that. The wonderful ladies at University Self Storage in Kearney were my ultimate saviors who answered every question and were extremely flexible with my needs. Thank you all very much for your outstanding service. If I need a truck in the future, I will come back to you and refer others to you as well.Axtell P.

Customer service was good but said I would get refunded for any miles I did not use and now I'm being told that it's included in the package and is not refunded when you don't use them all. Needs to get info straight. Also uhaul was not completely full when picked up and was charged after i filled even tho it was filled to where it was before.serena L.

The location was fine, and the employees were friendly. There were some issues with the booking software that the employee had to call in to resolve. He told me he had no information on my booking other than knowing which equipment I was picking up at his location which led to him charging me the standard rate for the equipment I was picking up. He made no effort to find out more for me, and didn't even tell me what I was being charged. Originally I called to book a 26 ft truck to be picked up at the 56th St Sinclair location in Kearney ne on July 19th. I was texted on July 18th to call about my booking. They told me they didn't have a 26 ft truck and the nearest would be in Aurora. I told them I needed to ask my husband and get back to them. I called back less than 2 hours later and they told me the truck in Aurora had already been booked. I made the mistake of assuming (it seems a relatively rational assumption) that if I had booked a truck a month in advance with confirmation that they would ensure one would be available at the same location I booked at. Upon reading more, I saw that it wasn't uncommon to have to pick up equpiment in surrounding areas. However, I was very disappointed that they rented out the replacement truck to someone renting the day before pickup instead of ensuring someone who booked a month in advance could get it. I understand the locations work independently of one another to a large extent, but if this is the business model you have, this should probably change. After already being disappointed twice by what I would deem a faulty business model, I was promised a 15 ft truck and a 6x12 trailer as a replacement. This was frustrating for a number of reasons, the first being I had to pick them up across town from each other. On top of that, it is more difficult to drive a large truck pulling a trailer, the size difference between a smaller truck and a trailer and the larger truck negatively impacted our packing plan, and loading two separate pieces of equipment was much more of a hassle. Then there was the problem of pricing. I had budgeted 135 dollars for the 26ft truck. I was told I would not be charged any additional cost for the accommodation they made. It's pretty difficult to fulfill that agreement when neither location was aware and worked so independently of one another that they needed to charge for the equipment they rented only. At the 56th St Sinclair location, there were even more software problems that the employee had to call three times for. The representative ended up doing the booking himself over the phone. Nobody had bothered to ensure that my booking was noted appropriately at ANY location, so there weren't ANY employees who knew what I was renting or what I should be charged. When I explained the situation, the representative on the phone said they typically split the cost of the 26 ft truck between the 15 ft truck and the trailer. Nobody bothered to make this adjustment and I was charged whacarly W.

The web sight as well as U-Haul informed me that I would be able to rent a ball and mount at the pick-up location. This was not accurate. I had go to another location to buy what I needed. I also had to buy an adapter for the light hookup. Would have been nice to know these added expenses before I arrived.ELI V.

The truck and equipment was very dirty and in need of repair. The cab of the truck had to be put back together...The trim molding on the drivers side and the Window crank...The pads were very dirty with some pads caked with disgusting stuff that looked like a dog got sick all over them. The truck itself broke down more than once causing us a few days delay.Jaye H.
We had no difficulty in the whole rental process, and when we realized that we wouldn't need our rental for as long as we anticipated, we had no difficulty in returning it and receiving a refund for the unused days.
