I was told that I would be picking up the trailer in Tallahassee but I had to drive an hour away to Madison to pick up the trailer, and then an hour back to Tallahassee to load the trailer. I was very disappointed that the trailer was not available for pick up in the town the we agreed to. Otherwise, it was a very good experience.

Zachary AU-Haul itself is a disgrace of a company. I made a reservation WEEKS before my move-out date and then received a call 24 hours before pick-up from U-Haul to confirm and GUARANTEE the pick-up. There was already a discrepancy with my order and I was informed I was being upgraded from a 10' truck to a 15' truck. This was not ideal but I figured it would be okay since everything else including my pickup time was confirmed. Then 12 HOURS before my pick-up time (note I have purchased 2 different sets of movers THROUGH U-HAUL that had specific start times set up for weeks prior), my pick-up time for the truck was changed to 1:30pm instead of 8:30am as well as upgraded to a 26' truck. That was unacceptable. So I called the main U-Haul number because all of the local locations were closed already. I was transferred to the nastiest, most unhelpful customer service representative that caused me nothing but hardships with this move. I was overwhelmed with the lack of professionalism by U-Haul that I needed to regroup, so since she didn't offer me any help, I thanked the representative and hung up. She called back minutes later while I was driving and could not speak to her at that moment. My father answered the phone and said that I will give her a call back in a moment (we were just around the block). About 5 minutes later after I get myself settled, I go on the U-Haul app and find out my reservation has been TOTALLY CANCELLED. Not ONCE on that RECORDED call did I ever say to cancel anything from my appointment. I called the number back with confusion because now I have nothing on my end that even says I had a reservation with U-Haul. The new representative said the woman I spoke with earlier took it upon herself to cancel my reservation because I "hung up with no solution". This is the most outrageous thing I have ever heard considering I CALLED HER. It is not like she was calling to confirm or anything I was calling to see my options since my time and size of truck has been changed for the worse. After many difficulties the new representative found my only option to be a 26' truck an HOUR away from my location. I will NEVER be using U-Haul again. They do not guarantee ANYTHING and do not stick by their word after their confirmation calls. I will be letting everyone I know about this experience and I hope if you are reading this review you do NOT follow in my footsteps and use this disgrace of a company.

James PSo the super truck 26 inch I had kept stalling. My moved was supposed to take 2 hours took all day because the truck kept over heating I called U-Haul to give me some type of funds back and they refused to reimburse me.. when I went to drop the truck of no one was in the S.14th leesburg, fl I called the guy was so rude, and customer service was too!
Mara AOwner did not go out to check on fuel level. Had another individual do that for them. Then placed the fuel marker on the app in the wrong location causing me to pay $22 for fuel.
Dalton OWent through 3 Uhaul outlets before finally getting the reservation correct. The one in Perry had none to rent me, the first in Madison made an incorrect reservation, the last one didn't have the 10 ft I reserved, but put me through to headquarters in Jax where I spent 20 minutes on phone to get satisfaction. Should have been BIGGER discount for all the trouble. Miss Kim at my final store stayed 1/2 hour past closing to help me get a truck. She will always have my recommendation and gratitude! (Consumer beware: if you're not there in person, there may be a problem getting a truck you need.) Truck ran well, air and radio worked perfect for the 2,200 miles I drove.

Roy JEasy drop off - after hours so no interaction. But clearly marked space to park, lots of room to turn to back in with the 26’ truck. Called to get the drop off location and was given the choice of two locations both similar in distance (in opposite directions). Phone staff was super helpful and quickly got me the drop off location assigned. Was after hours and finished with the truck a day early.

Joseph PFirst two trailers picked had flat tires. 3rd had the roll up door stuck. Finally just picked one that checked out and gave them the trailer number. Van had so little gas barely made it to the gas station. Staff was nice and apologetic. Just hope this helps them step up their game better.

Dale BThey charged me over $300 for miles I already paid for before we left Orlando. I was charged $409 to include 242 miles plus the truck at the GoldenRod location. The Madison location decided they were going to charge me for the SAME 242 miles and took an additional $321 from my bank account. When I called customer service they told me someone will call me by Wednesday and they wouldn’t get give me a straight answer on whether or not I’ll get my $321 back. Apparently I have to wait until at the latest Wednesday for someone to contact me because “it’s the weekend”. You can incorrectly take my money right away but you can’t fix your mistake right away?? Why is that? You can incorrectly charge me $321 despite it being the weekend but you can’t reverse the charge over that same weekend? How does that make any sense?? This is completely unacceptable and the only word to describe it is theft. I’ll be contacting my bank and whoever else I need to if this isn’t figured out no later than Wednesday like she said and the ONLY acceptable response to this situation is returning my $321. I was forced to cancel certain holiday activities I was going to do with my son this week because of this “mistake” so it’s not just me you impacted, it’s a child as well.

Edward RI've used U-Haul many times over the years and have never had issues like I have had these last two times. First time was we rented a truck and had it back on time and when we got our statement and seen that it was wrong and contacted someone about it only to get told they would return our call and never did then they proceeded to charge our card for an amount that was not accurate. Then this time we figured we would get a trailer since we didn't want the same issue to happen again. However upon receiving the receipt we were charged a fee that we said we didn't want and was told it wouldn't be on there. So U-Haul has gotten us for 40 dollars and no one ever returns calls and when you do get someone they have no idea what's going on and will refer you to someone who never answers and doesn't return phone calls. I don't know if it's the location of where the U-Hauls are being rented out at or U-Haul the company. I've never had this problem like I said with U-Haul until these last two times. Both times we dropped off at the same location. I honestly believe it's that place since we rented U-Haul so many other times and never had issues like we did this past two times. The drop off location is the only common factor in this whole ordeal.

Curtis MHad to clean the truck out of garbage. The truck was on empty and had to fill up in order to get home and then I had to return with a quarter of a tank. They didn't have the dolly I needed.
