The mobile option was a mess. It did not work to pick up the truck. Had issues retiring the truck. When I called for help the lady I spoke with was very rude. The process was pretty painful on both endsEric L.

Reserved for pick up at 630am. Was advised by mobile uhaul when logging in reserved truck could not be picked up until 8am. For a start provide the equipment that was ordered. I ordered a 15' truck and it was confirmed. Within hours I received an email that my Cargo Van was ready to be picked up on date requested - in a different location then requested 10 miles further away. Was informed I would get a phone call the following day before 6 P.M. That did not happen. Not a good first experience. The gentleman at the location where I picked up the Cargo Van was helpful. Not his fault my originally ordered 15' truck was swapped for a Cargo Van. Had to make two trips to move furniture rather then one trip which increased mileage/costs. Doubt I will ever rent from U-Haul again. Moving is never easy to begin with and the lack of any communication from U-Haul as promised didn't help. Again the gentleman where I was directed to pick-up the Cargo Van is not to blame.Paul M.

Very disorganized. No explanation. No communication. I signed 1 form when picking up. Nothing when returned. Kept saying "phone". No idea what he meant. As i checked my phone hours later all the check in was thru links on your phone. I have no idea if i was even charged the right amount. I would not recommend anyone rent a uhaul from this place. The truck rear door was not latched and it opened when we started driving. The store rep apologized when we returned the truck saying that the prior renter must not have latched it correctly. The truck's motor was not well maintained. We were concerned that it might break down.Coleen S.

We reserved at one location, but when I called to confirm, Uhaul said they moved us to another location because the first had no trucks. Fine, but an email notification would've been great. When we arrived at new location, their computer couldn't access UHaul's website to complete reservation. So I tried to do on my phone, but UHaul then said there were no trucks available, so wouldn't let me complete reservation. Kid at desk had to contact his cousin at home to do reservation on his laptop. 45 min delay. When we didn't return truck right at planned time, they called complaining that they had another guest waiting. We reminded them that we were delayed 45 min at start, so would be 45 min late returning. Once returned, they gave us a hard time about not refolding all blankets. Never heard of that before. I opted for self check-in via the U-Haul website. I created an account, submitting all of my payment and personal information. When it came time to pick up the truck, the U-Haul website required that I turn on location services. I complied, but the website did not recognize my location and, therefore, would not allow me to check-in. I tried it on another device (again, with location services enabled), with the same result: the U-Haul website could not find my location and would not allow me to finish check-in. When I went into the store, their internet was down and they could not check me in. This all resulted in a 45 minute delay in picking up the truck... which was really stressful, because we had someone watching our children while we were picking up the truck. You MUST improve this part of the self check-in or do not offer this service at all. It was incredibly inconvenient and will weigh on my mind when I need to rent another truck when we move to our permanent residence in 3 months.Sean C.

Horrible experience! Your customer service is terrible and doesn't know how to deal with people. Your agents are even worse because they don't care and you allow that to be the case. They get their money no matter what and that's how they feel. The whole system Is messed up and needs to be re-evaluated!Cristine D.

We had it booked for a 7am pickup and they didn't include the lockbox for the key overnight so we had to wait until 10am for â€œhand deliveryâ€. It was a 30 min drive away from us. We then got switched to a truck at Blue Hand Car Detailing in Lansdale that was closer to us for a 9am pickup, and no one there to give us the keys. We then got told there was one we could have in Doylestown, but then we ended up just picking up at the very first location offered in Perkiomenville, pushing us 3 hours behind schedule. This is unacceptable considering I had booked it over 4 weeks ahead of time.Alex O.
Customer service was rude and inexperienced. Truck was in rough condition. Uhaul moved my location to pick-up the truck the day before my move about 30 minutes away from my original location adding a significant amount of miles i had to drive subsequently increasing their profits from mileage. Seems like a scam to me. Once I got to the new location it took the young man nearly 20 minutes to find my reservation as he told me several times I was in the wrong location yet again. I explained they had just moved me to his location from another location and he was argumentative telling me I wasn't at the right location. Finally he found my reservation as he was spelling my name incorrect even though I spelled it for him over a dozen times. I have another very large move coming up in the next few months and will have to find a more reliable, professional truck rental company. From the reviews I've read online, Budget or Penske are much better options.Philip F.

The truck was ready when we requested and the whole experience went smoothly. The only thing that I would suggest improving was the infomation (no-line) concerning the insurance options was a little lacking and not really user friendly.Philip S.
No identifying features aside from the trucks themselves. Rental equipment is stored in the open in the convenience store. Trucks interior was dirty but not unacceptable. Overall, decent but could be much better.Daniel B.
The attendant was very condescending, unhelpful and generally rude. He kept telling me it was my fault that the U-haul site would not let me go past the drop-off location to check it in. My location services were on, but it would not let me go past that point. He refused to check in my vehicle. He was annoyed that I was having trouble and never checked in my vehicle. I took pictures of everything and then called U-haul upon my return home. After speaking with a representative, the attendant finally checked my vehicle in and I received my receipt. I would go out of my way to another drop-off location if I ever need another U-haul.Linda P.
I had booked my reservation at a location 5 min away from where I was moving furniture. This was the only reason that I used this company instead of renting a van. U-haul switched my pick up location to a place 35 min away from where I was moving the night before my move. The place was in the middle of nowhere. The guy running the location was HORRIBLE. He began checking me in and then took 15min to check out and talk to a customer at the gas station in the middle of my order. He then proceeded to ask me for all the information that I already entered at the online check in and was trying to get me to pay again even though I had already done this at online check in and the payment had been charged to my card. I had to remind him of the furniture dolly that I rented and actually had to go into his back room to show him what it was. At this point I was an hour past the original time that I reserved the van and I had movers waiting. I already had to pay them for an hour since they were waiting on me to arrive. When I took ownership of the van there was trash and someone else's mask in the van and it was obvious that it had not been cleaned. Since I was now in a rush I had to take ownership of the van and clean it myself since I was not going to rely on the guy at the counter to do so. Overall the service was horrible both on U-Haul and this US Gas location. Not to mention that the gas station it self was sketchy and there was an obviously drunk guy playing slots at 9:30 in the morning. I doubt I will ever use U-Haul again. Also, I passed by the location that I had initially reserved a van on my way back from picking up from US gas and there was a truck at that location sitting in the lot, and when I left to go to where I was dropping off the furniture it was still sitting there. I made this reservation a month and a half ago to ensure I would have a van and to see one available at that location was infuriating.Samantha B.

It is unfortunate I will be unable to rent another vehicle from the pickup location due to distance, because that is the only way I would use uhaul again. I registered for an early pick up only to get to the location and no keys were in the box. I had to wait 45 minutes before the store opened to get checked out, plus there were two other people also waiting to rent vehicles. The owner was more interested in waiting on the customers in his convenience store then helping me get out of the store. When I got in the vehicle it said service engine soon. This warning did not go off during my entire rental. The store is dirty and the owner is ill prepared to multitask. It was a very frustrating rental experience.Christopher H.

There was no vehicle inspection (or at least not a clear understanding of the process) when i picked up. I did a quick visual once I got the keys and it was in fair condition, no complaints. However, i was told upon return that the vehicle was had some mud on it (which was there when i picked it up and was also on the other u-haul vehicle). it's no big deal but the u-haul dealer should note this and not accuse the next guy of the issue.Michael H.

There computers are slow They only have one person working trying to check in and out the uhauls and working the store so you stand there while they are running around. I also was charged for things i did not have like the furniture pads and an extra dolly the guy asked me what i used with the truck i told him i only had one dolly but he still charged me for the other stuff. This location added 11 extra miles to my trip that were supposed to be added to the expected usage. They were not and I had to pay extra for them. Also, there were other, closer U-Haul locations that I was never given the option to use as a drop of location. For example, the one in East Greenville is 1.8 miles away. And it was the one I asked to use as the drop off when I called to reserve the truck but was never given that option.MARTIN R.

I COMPLETED ALL THE REGISTRATION ON LINE WHICH INDICATED EVERYTHING WAS READY FOR PICK-UP. I HAD ALLOWED AN EXTRA 10 MINUTES FOR THE TRANSITION BEFORE MY 4 HRS. WERE TO BEGIN. INSTEAD, THE AGENT WENT THRU THE ENTIRE APPLICATION ON HIS COMPUTER (AS IF I HAD DONE NOTHING) CONSUMING 30 MINUTES, 20 OF WHICH WERE NOW INTO MY 4 HR. RENTAL.James R.

I was pumping gas and asked the person processing my return to let me know if the gas level was ok- even showing him my diagram that was given to me. My friend was there to witness, and he still charged me the gas surcharge for not filling it up. I would have put move in- I WAS AT THE PUMP!!!!! That is a total scam again. Absolutely terrible experience. I scheduled for a truck pickup and when I got to the location there was no truck. I was then sent to a uhaul location 20 miles from my home. When I got there it took forever for the guy to get me the truck. I had ordered 24 blankets and two dollies. They only had 10 blankets and one dollie. He picked up the dirty blankets from the floor and loaded them into the truck. Fast forward to today, I attempted to return the truck tonight. The guy was extremely rude to us. He charged my credit card for 24 blankets and two dollies which he had confirmed with his brother that we did not have. This is theft! He insisted that I fuel the truck, which I should add was at a half tank when I rented it. He yelled at me to give him the key, then he handed it back to me to fuel the truck. While I was in the process of fueling it, he told me to turn it on so that I could check the fuel level. That action alone is highly unsafe and downright dangerous! My friend alerted the guy when I had put in $15.00 of fuel and the needle reading on the tank did not move at all. When the fuel cost was at 24.00, I stopped the pump because again the fuel level was not changing. When we left it sit for a few minutes it finally registered the fuel that I put in. The guy was so quick to jump into the truck my friend had to yell to alert him that the nozzle was still attached to the truck. I jumped to remove the nozzle from the truck as the guy started to move the truck. He parked the truck and the lights were still on. I alerted him of the lights and He returned to the truck to turn them off. Then he proceeded to argue with me and my friend regarding the charges. I informed him that I was calling Uhaul directly. He then continued to argue with my friend, called his brother and spoke in a language that was not English. My friend requested his name and he refused to provide it. She also requested a receipt for the charges and again he refused and informed her I could obtain it online. I spoke with a Uhaul rep on the phone and she advised me to obtain his name which he reluctantly provided. He handed us the receipt showing the items that they did not have available. I will never use this location ever! The truck was dirty with cigarette ashes and the blankets were filthy. As of this review, I have left a message for the area manager with no return call!Lucia M.

I originally reserved a 17 foot U-Haul truck from Kelly's Automotive in Limerick, PA but was bumped to a 20 foot truck for some reason. That was the start of the problem. A day before my pickup date I received a text that my reservation was bumped to another location because Kelly's Automotive would not answer their phone on Saturday to confirm the appointment. Apparently the scheduling manager for U-Haul had called all morning to confirm the reservation and could not get an answer. So I got bumped again to now another location and to a ridiculous 26 foot truck which was incredibly too large for my needs. On my reservation day I go to pick up this titanic sized beast of a 26 foot truck at the location I received a text message to go to, I arrive at the location to find out that my reservation was reassigned again back to Kelly's Automotive. What the hell. Apparently they were supposed to send me a text and an email to change it but incompetence strikes again and they never did. I had to call the customer service line again and they moved my reservation back to US Gas for the 26 foot truck since I was already there standing in the gas station waiting to pick up my truck. After getting the key to to this giant truck, I open the back of the truck to discover that apparently the truck had previous served as a seafood market. The truck STUNK like old crab. I can only theorize that the previous renter had bought an entire seafood market and moved it cross country. It was terrible. I wanted to vomit. And, to add icing to the the terrible seafood cake, the cab of the truck stunk like cat pee. I have no idea what the prior renter had done with this truck, but it was borderline criminal. I am done with U-Haul. There is zero chance I ever rent a truck from U-Haul again. This organization is terribly mismanaged and has more incompetence than the Russian government.Drew V.

I used the truckshare 24/7 program to pick up and it was a DISASTER!! The app told me to go to the counter and get the key from the store clerk, but he refused to give me a key. I had to call uhaul customer service and sat on hold for a half hour before anyone answered, just to be transferred and put on hold again for another half hour. The clerk didn't understand how the truckshare program worked and caused my family over an hour's worth of delay and aggravation. Will never go back here or recommend it to anyone!Steven W.
