It was a pleasure to deal with Nick, please give him a raise! I never went to the storage unit at night so I can’t give objective feedback on lighting but the facility seemed secure. As far as the facility being clean and well maintained I would have to say the place seems a little run down. Again, I appreciated Nick’s service and would recommend a friend to the storage unit because of his customer service.

the On Line sign-in is basically useless. Logged in to rent a unit and, although not the most user-friendly site, I was able to reserve a unit at my local dealer with a pick-up time outside hours. Used the option to check in online when I arrived, but when I started the process I was kicked out of my application and advised the rental was now only in person and I would have to wait until the next day. When I called the 800 number was informed that there was no record of my rental application and started all over again (even though I already had received instructions on how to retrieve the keys and was SITTING IN THE TRUCK WHEN I CALLED!). Luckily an employee was doing some after hours work at the site, saw me and we completed the process on site. On Line sign in a huge wasted of my time. And finally, was charged the Safe Move fee when I had specifically marked that I didn't want it. In summary, location great, truck great, LOG IN USELESS.

Would be nice if this location had my equipment to select from. Would recommend this location to anyone as it has far better customer service than the Uhaul moving and storage place on Halston Ave. everything seems to have moved to.

I found that this was a very supportive facility for allowing me to transition from a very busy hectic work environment to being able to create and develop a new beginning working with pictures music and video footage to preserve memories of family and friends who have passed on in the last 2 years. It also was a time of realising how much this type of space is needed and I look forward to creating a aesthetic environment to accommodate burnout and emotional trauma which is prevalant now in this pandemic and fast paced pressured environment that so many people are experiencing with no relief in sight. Thank you for the time and space to develop this idea.

Nothing but good things to say about my three years of using this facility! Even the price increases over the years we’re manageable and understandable. Equipment broke down. Location has such limited hours you can't rely on them for assistance and must go through main uhaul roadside assistance line, which is fine, except you have people from the USA trying to get service people in Canada to help you who's have no idea where they're calling and call providers from hours away. It took nearly 24 hours from the time our truck broke down to the time it was fixed and road worthy again.

I am not sure how this area is. However, I think you should try to keep the mice/rats away from the storage. It is not nice when you have mice tracks and stools on your boxes.

Our GPS/Maps would not recognize: Versatile Self Storage 2095 W Trans Canada Hwy Kamloops, BC The drop-off took some fishing about and asking around. We wanted to drop it off where it was requested by U-Haul, so we were determined, and eventually found it. In the future, it may pose to be a more serious problem for others.

We wanted to rent from Merritt where our local move happened. This cost us a huge amount in mileage costs to drive to and from Kamloops - probably $150 +/-. Feels like we were ripped off. Why couldn't we rent from Merritt? Or, at the least, deliver it back to Merritt?

As mentioned above, I was told to call when I got to Kamloops. No contact was provided except the 800-go uhaul number, which was out of service Sunday. After calling the only (supposedly) open Kamloops location with no answer, I called the Lillooet location, where I was told to bring it to the Versatile storage location and drop it there, which I did. The next day (April 19), I received a call from Versatile confirming there drop off and we discussed the events. I was told I would get no more charges and my deposit would be returned in full. On April 20, I got a call that my truck had not been returned, and when I returned this call and explained the situation, was told this would be confirmed and I would get a call back. This never happened. The next communication I received was an email saying that I am being charged 2 extra days? This was a mess from beginning to end, and I did everything I was told. Somehow, it still cost me $80 extra. Please fix this ASAP

Mice got into our storage and damaged contents also I have been with this storage facility for 8 years and asked to get out of facility three weeks early.Storage was empty and still charged for another month .Would seem like they could have cut me a break for a long term renter.Very poor customer relations

AMAZING! I have used this storage facility a few times over the past 10 years, they always go above and beyond to make each move easy for me. So friendly to deal with, and great hours to come and go as you need. I have never had a concern about the facility or the safety of my things. 10/10 I would recommend to family, friends, and strangers! If you need a storage unit look no further.

Manager seems like a great guy! Took me for a short tour as soon as I walked in the office. Very reasonable prices right off the interstate! Great location! If I ever need storage again while in Kamloops, I will definitely use this place again! Cheers!

The Uhaul truck I rented smelled strongly like marijuana. I was warned of this upon pickup, and it is not the pickup location's fault. However, t would be nice if the truck was temporarily taken out of circulation and cleaned.

I was called the day before my rental and told that I would find the key under the passenger seat, that the vehicle would be unlocked. I found this to be somewhat strange as it wasnt what it said on the website but I figure every location is diffrent. I was under the understanding that you are generally able to call Uhaul and extend your rental time with the vehicle, and drop off at locations other than where you picked it up from. I had booked an In town move, but when I called to inquire if i could drop the vehicle off at a location where I was, 150 km from starting, the rep said it should'nt be a problem. She said the system wouldnt let her do it and she would have to transfer me to a supervisor. The supervisor was very confused and said that I my vehicle has not been picked up, had not been "dispatched" to me even though this was about 4 hours after I had collected the vehicle. I assured her that I had in fact picked up the vehicle and have been in it for the past four hours. She didint seem to think this was possible. She asked for my contract number. She had my file up already and new my name, phone number and other information, so I was really frustrated that she needed me to look up my "contract number" for her. I had my passenger find the email and rear the reservation number. She said that this was the reservation number, Not the contract number. I had no other email from uhaul. She said this was because the vehicle had not been dispatched to me and i wasnt actually legally able to be driving the vehicle at the moment, and were i pulled over i would likely be charged and the vehicle impounded. She was able to complete the dispatching on the phone, but required me to give my credit card number again, which makes me very nervous. I'm going to be watching my statements and If I am charged twice I am going to be very upset. I was told in no uncertain terms that I could not drop the vehicle off anywhere other than the origin point- that If i dropped it anywhere else I would receive a wrong delivery fee of 3 times the rental rate. I acknowledge that I did not book a one way trip, I did book a round trip, but the first phone rep confirmed what I previously beleived, that it is normal and typical for Uhaul to let you drop the vehicle somewhere else, but not for me, not this time. I am primarily upset that I was not actually issued documentation required to legally drive the vehicle. Furthermore, In following with what had been done previously, I put the key back under the passenger seat and locked the vehicle with the keys locked inside. Apparently thats not what the location was expecting as I received 3 phonecalls while driving the 2 hours back to my new place telling me I needed to bring the keys back. I was driving and was unable to answer my phone. I wasnt able to respond till after 5, but I did send an email so I do hope they are able to sort it out. What an you do to improve for the next customer? Let them know that they cant wrong destination your vehicles even though its usually allowed and that you dont use standard Uhaul key protocol. the rep was quite surprised when I told her how I had been called and told about where the key was in the unlocked vehicle. Issue your customers the documents required for them to legally drive the vehicle.

Only issue I had was they requested I pick up the vehicle a day early since they were closed on Sunday. I agreed as they said I wouldn't be charged an extra day. After I picked it up, I got a msg saying I had to return the vehicle on Sunday which is the day I actually needed it. Called 1-800 number and the lady said it was taken care of and I wouldn't get charged an extra day and I could return it Monday as originally planned. Went to return it Monday and the system tried to charge me for an extra day. Overall good vehicle and service but your system for situations like this did not prove up to the task. This really is something that needs to be looked into.

Ensure the cab is clean prior to renting it out. There were cigarettes and garbage on the floor. Fuel reading was taken while truck was parked on a hill which gave it a false reading. Once on level ground, fuel level was much less that originally indicated. I was charged for additional fuel. Front tires on truck were in very poor condition.

He had to wait approximately 2h to get to the counter. I think they should had a line up for people that had reservation and another one for people that didn't. When I got to the counter they told me that they didn't have a truck available for.( I call to confirmed everything the night before since I flew from Kamloops BC in the morning). There is more to this story but I won't go in too much un-necessary After a couple back in fort they send me to Chestermere. I was supposed to drive back to Kamloops the same day but I had to leave the next day because of the delay. The service was not bad but they should had better logistic and explain to people why they had to wait for soooooo long. Specially people like me that flew to get this move done.

The only thing wrong I did was I put too much gas in it by about a quarter of a tank when I dropped it off and I'm renting out another one on August 9 or 10th so I'm very happy with the service

set it up so renters get an email or text as soon as the vehicle they booked is actually onsite and ready for pick up. Many times customers keep their rental past the return time which results in the next person it is booked to, having to wait sometimes hours and hours!

This location is the best. I have used them several times without any issues. Very professional and courteous. However the other location in Kamloops on Kingston was absolutely terrible!!! They lady was just doing stuff and not explaining what she was doing. Like taking a picture of my license on her personal cell phone. And then she asked for a phone number that they could call if they couldn't get ahold of me. Then she proceeded to call my wife's number without even telling me what was going on which I found very unprofessional. She was very rude I then walked out of there and rented from the trans Canada highway location
