I was offered many times the option of 24 hours cell-phone pick up , to find out that that location did not have that available . I got there and it was closed ( i knew that , that's why I was counting on that feature big big ordeal for men, U Haul should fix those discrepancies , terrible experienceJUAN T.

More instruction on the return process ahead of time. Didn't know about the option to fill out return forms after hours until I checked my textmessages, after returning the van. And made it seem like I'd be penalized for not filling it out by charging a â€œconvenience feeâ€ for them to look it over in the morning. Not a fan of random fees. Also had to look for gas cap for a while and some info on that would've saved us some time.MAX S.

Absolutely the worst experience I've had picking up a rental. Made me drive to 3 different locations across the south side of Chicago, only to tell me that my rental/equipment was not available at the location. I had to accommodate these extra miles in my rental contract, and was not offerred anything to recoup some of the lost money from the rental. Ridiculous, 1/5Andrew S.

Drop key slot: I used the online service to return the truck rental after hours. I dont understand why a "key compartment & compartment code" are noted on the instructions if there is only a key slot in the door & nowhere to enter the compartment information. I suggest a drop box near the mail slot.Annette P.

The WF Halls Self Storage Inc location was great -- quick and easy. However, it's not where I had booked to pick up the truck. That was East Bank Storage On 35th St, where they had my reservation on file but no truck for me. It was a frustrating inconvenience -- especially given I had called the day before to confirm everything was in order -- that set me back about an hour.Adam F.

Driver side door gasket needs to be replaced between the wind noise and it causes the driver side mirror to shake constantly making what you see a blur at highway speeds. I added 2 strips of 3M safety walk to the rear bumper after slip and falling and a 2nd time while holding on to the side grab handle. A strip should be added where the overhead door comes in contact when closed ! It would greatly reduce possible injuries even for your employees !Jeffrey J.

The truck smelled like animal feces. The employee said he didn't have time to clean it. I was on a tight schedule but I waited for him to mop the goop inside. I then had to mop the inside twice with bleach and water when I got home. After 2 more lost hours of cleaning the truck and spraying with lysol, I couldn't use the elevated area bc it was filthy and the truck smelled awful! The next morning when the movers arrived, they opened the truck and commented on the strong smell of garbage/ animal feces. Also, when I received the truck, the gas was at 1/8 tank, below required amount. The employee offered me a free bag of 6 moving pads as a sorry. When I took one out of the bag dust and debris went flying everywhere! They were unusable because they were filthy! When we pulled the ramp out to start loading, it had broken glass all in it. I explained all of this when returning the truck and the attendant didn't bat an eyelash. It's as if that's just the way they do business there. They also have a storage rental space there. I can only imagine they maintain that area the same and would fear roaches, bugs and rodents. Im sure if there were a problem they would do nothing about it. Find ANY other location. You don't need this during an already exhausting move.Leticia C.

I only issue was that I preferred a particular location to rent and it was only available at this location. I preferred a different location to only pay for the lesser miles. I did not want to pay for the extra miles there and back.Renita G.
