Clayton BThe only positive i could take from this place is that the truck was there at the time requested and it was in clean condition. outside of that I was severely disappointed in the customer service from this location and from uhaul in general. not only was i contacted less than 24 hours from the time I was going to be starting my move that the truck I had reserved could only be pickup an hour away in a different town adding 2 hours of total of driving and increasing my fuel cost to fill it back up, but I was also told that the next largest truck i could get was a 20 foot truck I accepted the 20 foot truck because it because that was the largest option in town, though because of not getting the size of truck I had requested the next day I ended up having to make a second trip 2 hours back to my old home and rent another uhaul so I could get the rest of my belongings. Now back to the added problems I ran into with using this location. I went to pickup the truck on the day of my move and during the inspection and taking photos I had noticed that the appliance dolly and moving blankets I had requested with my truck were not there. I called once the location was open and was met with the attendant saying they did not have any in stock and that if I wanted those items I would need to call other uhaul rental placed and track those items down myself. I also called Uhaul customer service and was told the same thing. I know these are independent dealers but if uhaul is going to try to cram all these add on items onto your bill while you try to reserve a truck you'd at least think that Uhaul would make sure these places had these items available.

DAVID EWhen I took it back to the location I picked it up at I was told they were not taking any U-Hauls due to work around their building. That I needed to take it to any other U-Haul location! Had I known this before hand I could have saved 16 miles by taking it to a location 1 mile from my home and saved me from paying that extra milage, I guess that is one way for the companies to make money on their customers! Why a text message or a phone call was not made to notify me is unknown, but would have been appreciated and I could have saved some money! This should be taken into consideration in the future when the place that you are returning it to cannot take it. It was an inconvenience all the way around.
Elizabeth SCharged me for after hours return. I RETURNED THE TRUCK A DAY EARLY, AND WAS PENALIZED.
