Unfortunately for me the trailer was not wide enough. I had to move a small airplane that I had removed the wings but the wheels were too wide so I will probably go there today and rent a car trailer. Thank you for your excellence in the rental business I would never go anywhere else. Thank you

I returned the truck with the fuel gauge exactly where it was supposed to be. 1/2 full (maybe a slight hair barely passed the 1/2 line indicator). I have photos taken of the mileage and fuel gauge before and after returning for proof. NO GOOD REASON AT ALL TO CHARGE EXTRA FOR FUEL) Vince and Joe at Manahawkin U haul charged me an extra $17.97 for fuel. They are thieves praying on good honest customers. They should be totally ashamed of themselves for stealing from good customers. As far as I'm concerned their business practice behavior is nefarious to say the least. Vince and Joe were outstanding - I was much more comfortable with the in-person return / check-in process than I would have been with the online alternative. NOTE ON MILEAGE ASSIGNMENT - calculation of alowed miles assumed use of Garden State Parkway, where trucks of this size are not allowed. I felt a bit nickeled and dimed because I modestly exceeded the allowance despite no sidetrips.

The ignition was messed up on the truck, had a shimmy indicating the tires haven't been balanced in a while, and getting hit with two random fees including after hours fees when the drop box wasn't checked until the next morning so I was hit with that. And a $10 fee that made no sense added to my final bill. Most likely the last time I'll use uhaul's poor condition trucks and have random fees at the end.

Stop changing my pickup location when that location has the truck I reserved. I reserved in Manahawkin, confirmed that they had the truck available and my pickup was still changed to Forked River.

The contract sheet print is too small to read, and it is not clear that the online return process has to be started before returning the key. The online process only allows photos taken at the moment, not an upload. I started the website return after I took pics for my own record (not knowing the online form would ask for them) and returned the key. It's a good thing I took pics because I was able to email them. But, if I hadn't, I'd have been stuck.

Facility was fine. But why don't you have a jack on the 6X12 trailer? You really expect someone to pick that thing up and lift it off the tow ball by themselves? It took two of us an hour to release the trailer from the tow hitch, in freezing cold weather and pitch black. One jumping up and down on the back of the trailer, the other pulling as hard as they could until it released. This is really absurd.

I rented a small truck for a one way trip to Maine. The tires on the truck were not bald and (probably technically) legal but had low tread. The tires did not work on ice or snow and I was stuck in snow and ice numerous times. It was dangerous. Rather than risk my life by driving it I had it towed to the return point at a considerable personal expense. I will never use U Haul again and will warn others of the danger when traveling interstate.

The truck was clean and met what it was intended for but the truck needs some major maintenance. The tires need to replaced and the brakes were awful. It didn't have cruise control and the window seals were awful.

My comment is not related to the vendor but to the lousy customer service representatives. I arrived too late to pick up my rental van before the closing time. They told me that I would receive a text from U-Haul with a code to unlock the key box. The text I received only showed my reservation number. Two phone calls to customer service resulted in both of them hanging up on me after waiting almost an hour for someone to pick up the call. This was on Sunday 12/05/2021 approximately 1:30 pm. Never did receive the code to open the lock box, I had to go back the following day during normal business hours to obtain my rental. Very poor customer service!!!

The mobile online pickup app was impossible to use so I spent 2 1/2 hrs talking on the phone to the helpline. The woman who I spoke with did everything she could to allow me to enter the system but she could not. Therfore her only option to help me was to reschedule my pickup for the next day in person. This caused a lot of unwanted stress because I now had to load the van in the morning thus delaying my departure time significantly. At the physical location the office staff was extremely helpful in getting the paperwork done and ultimately to get the van. All of the people who helped me to get all of this straightened out were extremely helpful and have my deepest respect and thanks.
