This location is someone's yard. The streets are very narrow and we could barely fit our RV down this road. There is no office. It is a man's house.

The facility was closed when I arrived. I knew it would be which is why I scheduled a mobile pickup. Unfortunately, no vehicle had been assigned to me when I arrived so I couldn’t complete pickup without calling the 1-800 number for assistance. The person I reached there contacted the operator of the facility and told him that I had called his number, but no one had answered. That never happened. I had seen someone walking around outside while I was sitting in the drive and waiting on hold for someone to answer my call to the 1-800 number, but I wasn’t sure if he worked there since the facility is located next door to a house and it was after hours. This same individual, who turned out to be the owner, became irate when he realized that I was on the phone with customer service and had supposedly told them that I had tried to reach him but no one had answered. I never tried to call him because the facility was supposed to be closed. I don’t know why the customer service rep fabricated this part of the story, but it led to the owner being extremely angry and rude to me. He finally settled down after I explained the situation, but it took a few minutes of him waving his arms, yelling, and being an absolute jerk to me while I maintained my patience. Had I not done that, the situation could’ve easily devolved into a shouting match. Ultimately, all I wanted was to get out of there with the rental truck that I had reserved so I kept my cool. I would never pick up another U-Haul from that facility nor would I ever recommend that anyone else do so either. The entire situation, from the mobile pickup being botched to my call with customer service to my interaction with the facility owner, was an absolute mess. The only redeeming quality, and the reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1, is that the truck was in great shape and functioned well for us the entire time. Also, the drop off process was simple since the facility owner handled everything.

Mr Warren provided us with exceptional customer service by connecting and helping to load my car onto the tow dolly. We are so appreciative of his kindness on what was a very bad day for my wife and I was we were traveling through the area and had not planned on needing to rent any equipment. His generosity and knowledge made my wife feel at ease. We were not as prepared as we should have been, but Mr Warren had what we needed to get us moving on down the road. We are very grateful. Got charged for gas even though I returned the vehicle with more fuel than when I received it. Definitely will not be recommending uhaul anymore. No need to be nickel and dimed to death when there are other options.

Easy, efficient and professional experience at this Maryville, TN location. Dropping the truck off with Walter--could not have been easier. I called ahead to office and Walter assured me he would be there when I dropped off the truck.
