DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION! THEY USE U-HAULS TRUCKS FOR PERSONAL USE! TO STORE ALL THEIR LARGE BAGS OF FLOUR, RICE, ETC. They checked use out, keys in hand and the lady runs out as my husband is driving off and says he forgot something and to come back in. He goes in and she takes those keys from him and gives him another set, he goes out to leave in this other 26’ truck and it’s completely full from front to back and has one man trying to empty it. They’re doing all of this on our rented time, and mind you we have to return it at an earlier time than we needed it for due to another person renting it the following day. Rightfully so my husband calls me and tells me about the situation, and the cashier runs out yelling at my husband saying “I will just put the truck as unavailable, and not rent to you at all” she’s threatening him but she’s the one in the wrong. We contacted U-Haul and they set it up to pickup at West Valley Moving off of Chrisman (which we’re so chill and easy to work with) don’t understand their poor reviews? 🤔 then the complain was escalated, one phone call and was supposed to be followed up from the DM in this area but never got a follow up. Now I see how this business can continue to treat others this way! Do not rent from them.
JOSE RI went in on Wednesday 10/29/25 to confirm my reservation pickup for Thursday 10/30/25. Joseph the employee said their system was down & gave me information on other areas to pickup a truck if there system was still down on Thursday. Thankfully, I was able to pickup a truck on Thursday & Alvin & Ray were very polite & helpful! I would definitely recommend West Valley Moving Company!

DEMETRIUS SI was told TWICE when I called that I could return the 5x8 uhaul trailer a day or two later. He said as long as I get it back by Friday before they close I would NOT BE CHARGED extra. Again, I called twice to confirm. I returned the trailer Friday at 4. It was due back Thursday at 10am. I get a bill for $58 for TWO DAYS extra. I call and uhaul said I need to call the place I dropped it off. The guy I spoke to said his employee authorized me bringing it later and he should not have done that. That's not really my problem. He eventually said he would refund 1 day and I said no. You guys said Friday by 5 would be NO EXTRA COST to me. Eventually he said ok no extra charge at all. Then I called back uhaul again to confirm and uhaul said it's escalated and in 3 days they will let me know their decision. The DCISION was already made by the uhaul place I returned it. There should be no escalation or decision made from above. This should already be settled and closed.
Mark GAgent was rude. Made an online reservation exactly because I hate dealing with rude people. Walked in, he didn’t even acknowledge me, just sat in the little side room with the tv on loud watching whatever sport he was watching. Google maps said the location was already closed so I figured it may have been someone working after hours and left him alone. Thought I’d just pick up the truck through the inline reservation anyway. I completed the online instructions, found the truck, etc then went inside to pick up the keys. After looking around a bit he calls out and says “your keys are here.” Then something along the lines of “its says it on the sign the keys are here” but in an ignorant “you dumbass” kind of way. Literally saw no sign for keys pickup, the app just says go to the side to pick up the key. No interactions with the guy besides this and he did not leave an impression where I could say “staff is friendly.” Truck had low tire pressure too, which had to inflate and make a detour on the way with the truck adding miles and cost.

DANIEL RTruck had problems with the rear left wheel bearing when given to us. Very dangerous and should not have been rented out. Had to change vehicles in Albuquerque, NM. They were also late getting me the vehicle.
NICHOLAS DThere were no signs that this address has any U-Haul service at all. In a small village of Tracy CA, all we could see at the address was a bowling alley and a diner. Nowhere was any signs posted at all about the presence of U-Haul service, which was in the rear of the building in the back side. It was a horrible experience as we were sure we were lost. We called customer service and after 15 mins they insisted the location address was right and that drop box for the key is there but could not help us locate the U Haul parking area at that address. We had to literally scout the parking lot around the building at night on foot to locate the parking area around midnight. Very stressful experience.

JEFFREY DCustomer service worker i forgot his name did an excellent job from start to finish. Clearly the best place to rent a u-haul in Tracy. Highly recommended.

TIMOTHY GFuel was below documented level. Cargo area was strewn with dirt, grease and grass. Although reserved, the appliance dolly was not available. Person at counter said no one told him a dolly was on the reservation and I could try another U-Haul location. In an ideal customer service experience, the agent should have attempted to find one for me. I called the U-Haul number and the answering agent was very pleasant and found a local U-Haul center that had a dolly and increased mileage for the move. Having used U-Haul on multiple occasions over the decades, this was the worst experience with the company.

RAMON CFirst when I made my reservation I had 10" truck but few hours later was changed and not told to me but I had to notice my reservation was changed then when I got to the location to pick up they took horrible long time to check me in and then wasn't told the price the service and later found out that the quote I was given wasn't honored and I was charged three time amount I was quoted. Then the truck when turned on sounds horrible as if the transmission was out to go out. I had to use the truck to simply move couch one city to the next and don't get my started on reverse on this truck which was totally messed up. I will not be renting again and I'm very very pist of the prices I was charged without even being told or asked if it was ok to charge me.

ROBERT FThe dolly not strapped securely. The truck driver door not closing completely I had reserved the truck initially on Saturday 8 AM. It seem central reservation system changed the truck hold to near by city. When checked Saturday morning it is also not available. I have to reserve one more and postpone my move to next day afternoon. I have to pay my movers twice due to this inconvenience

DEMEDA SWhen I arrived to pick up the U-Haul, nothing was ready. It took him 30 minutes to get everything around and get loaded into the truck and then they had me do some of the loading.
