The assistant was very helpful but the distance and inconvenience experienced in renting a transport trailer was a total nightmare. The only decent part of this rental was the place of drop off.

Daniel VDrop off location was wonderful, helpful with unhooking. They were closed when I arrived (5pm close) but they were a few blocks away and happy to come help. I arrived about 4:25pm.

Robbie CTruck was supposed to be picked up in Hollister had to drive to Gustine almost 1 hour drive. U-Haul gave me $50 credit the truck had 3/8 tank of gas put I had to pay for gas in my car and the truck to Hollister.When I returned the truck it had 2/8 of a tank and they changed me $48.80 for not returning it with 3/8 tank

octavio bVery professional service - I have rented U-haul many times in other counties and this by far was the best. The owner discussed with me what he had in stock and I could make solid plans. Unlike multiple previous experiences when I received notifications that, despite an online reservation made weeks in advance, I had to travel 70 miles to another location for pick-up and I received that notice 1 hour before pickup time. Gustine U-haul was definitely the best and most efficient so far and I will use them again and refer them to friends.

Humberto FFirst, someone called me in the morning to make sure I was going to drop off at the time. Second, when I did drop off, no one was there to receive my vehicle I had to create an online account which took time. Third today I received a receipt for an extra charge of $80 for extra day fee, coverage fee, an extra mile fee. I returned it the day I was supposed to, and did not use it for an extra day. I also dropped it off with more gas than what I picked it up in. Today when calling this location in regards to the receipt, I spoke to a man name Leroy, who kept saying to me “ I don’t know why they did that you’re gonna have to call somewhere else I didn’t do that” ?!? I reminded him that the number that I called is the number that is listed on my invoice. Leroy then said he would have him call me back him. I’m guessing is the owner.? 1/9/2023. This location should not be operating unless someone is there to do the business..

Which surprise me since that I asked the person who rented me the truck how late the establishment would be open so that I could return it and I was told 10 PM, I was at the return location before 5 PM

Marcos LThis location was wonderful. However my parents had a reservation for Oakdale that was made Tuesday of last week to be picked up Monday morning. No earlier phone call. He drove from Modesto to Oakdale taking 40 +minutes each way because of traffic to be told that they had no trailer. I called them when he got home and was told that there was one in Merced. They left to go there and 1/2 after making that reservation they called me to tell me that no they didn't have a trailer. Mind you my elderly parents were already on their way there.. When they got there they told them Westside welding in Gustine had one. They finally got there a little after 3pm the day they wanted to be on the road by 10am. The people at Westside were awesome. I do feel that a refund should be returned for the horrible service that was received.

JIM ECould not pick up my guaranteed truck in tracy as for the store was closed where they had me drive an hr and a half to pick it up...then after 2 hrs they had me drive another 40 miles to another location...so we spent 4 hrs of the day just getting a truck to drive back 100 miles to load...then when we goto a, our guaranteed storage location...did not have any involvement and had to struggle to help us...way bad service waiting to see what works about before my public out burst on social media and other venues...100 dollar credit is crazy it cost me 50 bucks in gas to get the truck to out home load site...worst move ever

Adrian GThe location was fine. A month prior to pickup I reserved the unit to be picked up in Patterson, CA. On January16, 2020 I received a telephone call telling me the unit was only available in Gustine or Manteca. Although I made it work and took time off work, this is the second time this has happened. U-Haul needs to do a better job in honoring what they sell.

Leroy ODon't send customers to that location. The service I received there was not consistent with service I have received at other UHaul locations.

GEORGE BMy driver dropped off the truck & keys. I wish the drop off process had been discussed when we picked the truck up. I didn’t know til later in an email the full process, hence no photo of the odometer & fuel level were made. Fortunately, everything still went through okay. The uhaul dispatcher that I called the next day was very helpful & kind! Much appreciated. Overall, my experience with U-Haul has been very good!!
Janne GThird and final truck from U-Haul within a couple weeks. And everyone whom we had contact with was extremely professional @ courteous. Three U-Haul locations. Truely great customer service. Alot of companies today have lost the ability to treat each and every customer they encounter as if they we are the only customer that matters. Because without great customer service from every employee their company would not be around for the next generation of customers. Great Job !

Tony HI reserved a 15' truck online at the Mercy Springs location in Los Baños, CA. Two days before the pick up date, Uhaul called me to tell me that my reservation was in Gustine with a pick up time of 8:30. This was later than my original pick up time of 8:00. Uhaul emailed me a confirmation with the new location and the pick up time was 8:00. On the day of the rental I was running late (good thing I was) and arrived at the Gustine location at 8:40. The location was closed. The time I arrived was later than the reservation time and the hours of operation posted on the email confirmation. I called the location 15 minutes later and the owner answered and said that he just pulled up. I went in and was gruffly told that he doesn't arrive until 9. He was unaware of my reservation and took roughly 30 minutes to go through the paperwork (I had done all of this online when I reserved the truck). I was also the only one there at the location. The truck he gave me was dirty and I could barely see out the windshield for all the bug splatter and dirt.

Ruben PI had to drive 40 minutes to get 20ft as 26ft got cancelled. Talked to 9 reps at uhaul. Boyfriend talked to 6, he was hung up on by a lady 2 times. Gustine lady was nice but not knowledgeable on gift certificate Procedure. After I get to Fullerton and moved I realized as she said my card got charged twice!
