This location was wonderful. However my parents had a reservation for Oakdale that was made Tuesday of last week to be picked up Monday morning. No earlier phone call. He drove from Modesto to Oakdale taking 40 +minutes each way because of traffic to be told that they had no trailer. I called them when he got home and was told that there was one in Merced. They left to go there and 1/2 after making that reservation they called me to tell me that no they didn't have a trailer. Mind you my elderly parents were already on their way there.. When they got there they told them Westside welding in Gustine had one. They finally got there a little after 3pm the day they wanted to be on the road by 10am. The people at Westside were awesome. I do feel that a refund should be returned for the horrible service that was received.

Was not happy having to drive a total of 60 miles to pick up my trailer after booking it in Merced.. 2 weeks in advance! If I am going to be your delivery service I should at least been reimbursed for my gas! My buddy had the same experience!

Could not pick up my guaranteed truck in tracy as for the store was closed where they had me drive an hr and a half to pick it up...then after 2 hrs they had me drive another 40 miles to another location...so we spent 4 hrs of the day just getting a truck to drive back 100 miles to load...then when we goto a, our guaranteed storage location...did not have any involvement and had to struggle to help us...way bad service waiting to see what works about before my public out burst on social media and other venues...100 dollar credit is crazy it cost me 50 bucks in gas to get the truck to out home load site...worst move ever

The location was fine. A month prior to pickup I reserved the unit to be picked up in Patterson, CA. On January16, 2020 I received a telephone call telling me the unit was only available in Gustine or Manteca. Although I made it work and took time off work, this is the second time this has happened. U-Haul needs to do a better job in honoring what they sell.

The inconvenience was the lockbox concept. I feel that it's just easier and more convenient when you pick up from a location with an actual person.

Don't send customers to that location. The service I received there was not consistent with service I have received at other UHaul locations.

My driver dropped off the truck & keys. I wish the drop off process had been discussed when we picked the truck up. I didn't know til later in an email the full process, hence no photo of the odometer & fuel level were made. Fortunately, everything still went through okay. The uhaul dispatcher that I called the next day was very helpful & kind! Much appreciated. Overall, my experience with U-Haul has been very good!!

Third and final truck from U-Haul within a couple weeks. And everyone whom we had contact with was extremely professional @ courteous. Three U-Haul locations. Truely great customer service. Alot of companies today have lost the ability to treat each and every customer they encounter as if they we are the only customer that matters. Because without great customer service from every employee their company would not be around for the next generation of customers. Great Job !

I reserved a 15' truck online at the Mercy Springs location in Los Baños, CA. Two days before the pick up date, Uhaul called me to tell me that my reservation was in Gustine with a pick up time of 8:30. This was later than my original pick up time of 8:00. Uhaul emailed me a confirmation with the new location and the pick up time was 8:00. On the day of the rental I was running late (good thing I was) and arrived at the Gustine location at 8:40. The location was closed. The time I arrived was later than the reservation time and the hours of operation posted on the email confirmation. I called the location 15 minutes later and the owner answered and said that he just pulled up. I went in and was gruffly told that he doesn't arrive until 9. He was unaware of my reservation and took roughly 30 minutes to go through the paperwork (I had done all of this online when I reserved the truck). I was also the only one there at the location. The truck he gave me was dirty and I could barely see out the windshield for all the bug splatter and dirt.

I had to drive 40 minutes to get 20ft as 26ft got cancelled. Talked to 9 reps at uhaul. Boyfriend talked to 6, he was hung up on by a lady 2 times. Gustine lady was nice but not knowledgeable on gift certificate Procedure. After I get to Fullerton and moved I realized as she said my card got charged twice!

Truck was old and transmission was about to go out. I paid for 24hrs and got around 8 due to the fact the truck broke down. I got one load to my storage and had to leave the truck there overnight. I had to use my SUV for the rest of my furniture. I'm waiting for the people to contact me about the charge?

The gentleman entered the wrong date so there was confusion when I returned the truck. It took over 30 minutes to rent truck as I reserved with a credit card but paid cash.

I receive a call at 8:30am the man said if you don't come & pick up your rental I won't be here at 9:30am I said I'm sleeping my appointment is till 9:30am. The man argued saying. well, if you are not here by 9:00am you will not get the rental. I rush & got dress. When I got there he said sign here the truck it's fine. I said no we need to go and inspect the vehicle he raised he's voice at me and said it's fine! I just checked it! I said I don't care I'm going to go see for my self. I toll him that the truck had some markings on the passenger side. He said you see that X it's been noteded. I ask him to please just put it on the inspection sheet. With a bad attitude he finally did. Then he said the fuel it's at 1/2 full I said that's not true look it's less than 1/2 he again started to raise hes voice at me and argue it's fine! I asked him please just mark it where it really is in the sheet. he finally did. He made me regret getting the u-haul. it was such a horrible experience he made me feel guilty like if I did something wrong by renting the u-haul. I don't understand what kind of business is this if they get mad because of having to do their job. If I had more time I would have just left but I need it to move my stuff & time & money was limited.

You could actually have the truck I reserved available. And not have me drive a couple of hundred miles to pick it up. This location is fine, but I would tell people to avoid uhaul at all costs.

My brother and I broke down on the highway while towing a trailer hitch on our car. We got towed to this location, and they took care of us. The Orozco's are the nicest people, they really saved our lives that day. It was nearly closing time for them, but they hung around and waited for us to arrive.

I asked for a late return when I booked my reservation over the phone. I p/u in the morning and was not told that I would then need to return the truck by the same time as my p/u time on my return day. I rtet'd the truck 3 hrs past the p/u time so they wanted me to pay an additional day. I had o fight it. I was pissed.

The equipment functioned well but was dirty. There was a lot of oil residue on the hitch, front framework and front of the trailer box. Possibly the previous tow vehicle was leaking oil which spread to the trailer. In my opinion it should have been cleaned by the previous renter prior to returning it.

I was not told until the day before I was to pick up the trailer that it was not available in the location I chose. I had to travel 80 miles one way to pick up the trailer and that is not acceptable to me. In the future I will use other rental agencys.
