If the location does not offer self check while facilities are closed then do not allow reservations to be made. I was rerouted to 2 different locations last minute and that caused my other reservations to be late and cost me more money

Unfortunately had a very poor rental experience at this location. I booked an auto transport for 24 hrs. I arrived at the location and let the attendant know that I’d likely be returning it later that same day, and asked if it was ok. I had to hook it up myself. She said yes, that they’d check it in the next morning. I returned it on 11/1 at 9:54pm as promised. Days later on 11/3 I see multiple charges on my credit card for additional days of use, and voicemails from U-Haul asking when I will be returning the auto transport. I call U-Haul back and tell them I’ve already returned the auto transport days ago. They said they would handle it. On 11/4, I receive the same round of charges on my card and phone calls again. Now they’re stating that it was returned on 11/4 instead of 11/3. How can it be returned twice? On 11/5 the same thing happens again, and U-Haul claims there is no record of the previous conversation with the associate that left me voicemails. I’m not sure what happened between U-Haul corporate and this location, but I suspect that this location forgot to check in the auto transport when I returned it on 11/1. The U-Haul app is terrible and often times non functional, so it’s critical for the locations to make sure they check in their equipment since the renters often cannot. I’ve been renting for over a decade and never had this happen before.
