CORAY Ethis pick up point was not the issue. the fact that uhaul did NOT have a truck where i needed to pick it up from and had to do an hour of running around and travel before even picking up the truck. i should Not have had to make multiple phone calls nor make trips to two different cities. Then to get hit with mileage that was out of my control, because your company did not have a truck closer even with two weeks notice! if i could score uhaul itself with a 0 that is what id do/ no wonder you make so much money...you rip people off.

Lamar JWe did have a little trouble finding the after hours box with the key. We could have used some information on which building. We were looking around the building where the drop off box was. The pickup box was on a different building. The truck was spotless!

cherelle wThere was a pad lock on the drop box for the uhaul key. It took well over 40 minutes to get someone on the phone to ask what do to with the key. (I was on with uhaul, noone ever picked up, and my friend when online to called 3 or 4 different numbers to found for the drop off location and we finally got someone who told us where to leave the key)

Khasha HMy entire experience with U-Haul was terrible. First, my guaranteed rental was not available at time of pick up. Then had to drive an hour to another location. This location was closed and could not give me a truck. We then had to go to a third location. This location was also closed. We then had to switch my rental to a 24/7 truck share. Ok, finally making some progress. When I received the code for the lock box and opened it the keys were for a different truck. Now, it will not allow me to proceed with the checkout process due to the truck information not matching. On top of that I went from needing a 15ft truck to this monstrous 26foot truck. Which would obviously cost more in fuel. Finally a manager of some sorts told the representative that I could go ahead and proceed with the truck that I had received keys for even though it would not allow me to confirm the vehicle. Manager also stated that they would take care of this. This whole process took 4 hours to fix. My original pickup time was for 1p.m. and it is now 5p.m. When I got into the truck it had less than a 1/4 tank of fuel. After using the truck I ran into more problems at time of return. Due to the truck information not matching it would not allow me to process the drop off. Therefore it would not allow me to obtain the passcode to open the drop box to return the key. Luckily I remembered the passcode for the pickup box and put the key in there. I was beyond furious and exhausted at this point. This part here is where it gets comical. I left the vehicle with a 1/4 tank of fuel, which is more than I received the vehicle with and the required amount. Yet I received a EZ fuel charge of 3.5 gallons. If this is the way that U-Haul is going to conduct business I will not be using you in the future.

Maurice PTruck was dented, scratched and covered in some kind of grease. It was also full of used tape, trash, rope and broken glass. Smelled like swampass and cigarettes. pickup location staff handed me a broom and a trash bag and said "sorry, put the trash bag on the porch when you're done cleaning it out." U-Haul also moved my pickup location 50 miles on the other side of my loading destination, adding just over an hour of travel time to my 2 day trip. Customer service was rude and generally unhelpful. I wish there had been another truck option in the area.

cherie sThis particular location was very accommodating. Uhaul as an entity was not. First, the location where I was supposed to pick up a 19’ moving van was changed from Johnny boys to zoom boom without any advance notification. No email or call alerted me to this fact and I only found out after logging on to the uhaul website. When I arrived at zoom boom I was informed that they don’t carry 19’ vans, never have, and are specifically prohibited from carrying that kind of vehicle. When I mentioned the reservation (made several weeks in advance) the proprietor of this store told me uhaul should have notified me. When I called customer service to complain, I was disconnected (read hung up on) several times before being paced on a 35 minute hold and finally speaking to a woman who offered nothing more than to have the regional manager call me back at his convenience in 1-3 business days. Having already reserved help I was left with no other option than to rent the smallest vehicle at zoom boom, (a 30’ truck, awesomely unwieldy in downtown atlanta traffic and $180 gas both ways) at about twice the cost of the van I reserved weeks earlier. Still waiting on the call, which I won’t get I assume since they didn’t bother to notify me in any way that 19’ vans aren’t stocked in kingstree. Choose Penske or Ryder. Uhaul pops in your head first when you think moving van but there are better options.

john rIt was a hassle to get the equipment. no one was there so online check in was the only option but the location was in the middle of no where so there was no GPS service. this made it impossible to checkin online. Had to wait for someone to come to the location and then had to call Uhaul to check in after calling two other numbers that were posted on the door. Overall process took too long. People were friendly when they showed up though.

dewretha wGot there to pick up car dolly, wait time was okay, but service was not, first thing was, they didn't give me any paperwork and when I asked for it I was told that I didn't need it, second thing, I had to hook up the dolly myself, and the third thing was the dolly had a missing safety chain on the tongue of the dolly I use a ratchet strap in place of the missing chain, I have rented from Uhaul many times over the years and had no complaints, but in this case I was charge $95.04 for a dolly that wasn't very safe to have on the road the eye that the safety chain was suppose to connect to was torn in two, if I didn't have a dead line to pick up the vehicle I was towing I would have left this dolly alone, the place where I pick up the dolly look like a scrap yard for Uhaul rentals, there was another dolly there, but the straps were gone, the wheel fender was missing, there were Uhaul trucks with bad damage done to the cargo boxes mounted on them, I would suggest that Uhaul send a service technician out to this location.

Richard LMore knowledgeable and technically capable staff. The person entering my information had to reenter it multiple times which caused a delay in my receiving the truck (even with my late arrival). The truck engine light was on and the staff person checked to oil then informed me that it was okay to drive. While, I was not sure of this there was no other truck to take so I took the truck. Also, the business was closed well before normal business hours.
