Mr. Song was flexible when I needed to change dates and times twice. My first time getting a U-Haul and it was a pretty easy experience. The only thing was that when I got there no one was there and I called several times but didn’t get through. Once able to communicate with Mr. Song he said he was on his way (there was an issue with his phone which is why I couldn’t call him). He was about 30 minutes behind. When he got there all was done via phone including payment. He didn’t even open the facility door for me to go in and take care of paperwork. I am not sure if it’s him alone or if there are other persons. However, despite his frustration with me as I asked him to explain the charges before he charged my card it was ok. My conversations with him via phone were friendly but in person as I asked questions he did get frustrated and a bit snappy but it all subsided as I remained calm. I believe part of it was a language barrier which is understandable. The U-Haul itself was not cleaned and I asked about it. Mr. Song said no problem he will clean and had a blower to do so. Once it was clean I did the inspection as required. The inside in the front was smelly… I guess they can’t control that much. Smelled like cigarettes and body odor. No damage on outside and although the engine and transmission sounded iffy it got to the destination (which was approximately 350-400 miles away) safely. I wouldn’t mind using them again which is why I said I’d recommend it to a friend.
