I booked a truck, only to receive a call saying the pickup location had to be changed. When I arrived at the new location, the truck was blocked in by another truck. The office was closed, so I had to call customer service three different times before someone was finally able to help. A very helpful representative located another truck for me at a different location. When I arrived there, the truck wasn’t there and there was also no dolly available. I had to call customer service yet again, and ultimately they were able to provide a different truck at that same location. This was an extremely frustrating and inconvenient experience, and I am definitely not a happy customer. After everything, I’m just glad it eventually worked out. I do want to give credit where it’s due—the lady I spoke with on the phone was incredibly apologetic, patient, and helpful. She genuinely tried to resolve the situation and was the bright spot in an otherwise awful experience. U-Haul really needs to do better with communication, organization, and making sure customers actually have the equipment and vehicles they reserved.
