Amy GMy ball hitch on my Ram 2500 was obviously rated greater than 10,000, but the rental location got hung up on the fact that no rating was listed on the hitch. I never had that problem at U-Haul before. Maybe it was a necessary precaution, but I have rented toy haulers, car haulers on the same rig, and nobody questioned whether a half-inch steel construction hitch was adequate.
