The online check in and checkout process is very clunky. The website is slow especially when uploading pictures. When retrieving the truck, I still had to rely on an attendant to get the keys, which defeats the whole purpose of having an online process, while creating confusion/delays all around.

I hate to do this, but I have to be honest and fair and give a head's up to prospective consumers of THIS particular U-Haul location to save them from a potential negative experience. The owner, which seems to also be the owner or operator of the coffee stand, seems like a sweet lady, but she also technologically challenged, and her first language is definitely not English, all compounded by the heavy noise of traffic of the nearby road. This made communication all by close down. I sent her my driver's license photo (front and back) at least 6 individual instances before I pulled out of the lot with the rental. She gave me the thumbs up on the last instance, so I proceeded with my move. There was some sort of technical difficulty as she kept asking me to send her the information. This back-and-forth fiasco ate into about 30 minutes of my much-needed moving window on my rental. There was no acknowledgement about that fact, she seemed only interested in protecting her own liability. If the issues above weren't bad enough, in the middle of my move she calls and texts and asks me to do the entire upload a photo of my driver's license to her dysfunctional system once again. Again, no acknowledgment of why I rented the truck to begin with, seemingly only concerned for her own liability. I don't want to come off harsh on her personally. In terms of professionalism and user-friendliness of the customer experience all up, this is THE worse experience I've encountered with U-Haul. Maybe her coffee is better. If this is a franchise, corporate needs to do a way better job at ensuring their franchisees are up to speed and functioning properly and professionally. This sort of thing leaves a very bad taste in one's mouth. Looks like I need to look at Hertz next time. Supply and demand, baby.
MATTHEW HThe taking pictures step was not easy to work.
Brett HI the building was hard to find because it’s also an espresso stand, the person running the iPad to sign in was hard to understand and had difficulty with the iPad, and I filled it up with gas and still got charged a stupid amount of money for gas fees.
