Honestly, listen to the reviews about this place. Very shady business. Not even sure why they have a license or whatever is required to rent out U-Hauls to people. I thought to give them a try despite the poor reviews since I love supporting small businesses, but there was absolutely zero professionalism throughout my entire transaction. Firstly, this business has several different hours posted. It doesn’t matter anyways though, because even if you show up from 12-4 which are allegedly their “actual” hours, nobody will be there and their doors will be locked despite the “open” sign being on. Nobody was there when I returned the U-haul and keys, which kept me from paying with cash how I wanted. Now my account is overdrafted, which wouldn’t have been an issue if at least one person were actually on duty during their posted hours. Secondly, this business had a minor running my transaction, which is perfectly fine, but said kid would not help me sort out the online identity verification process because they were more focused on closing up and leaving the shop than helping a paying customer. I get that I showed up at 6:30 and your posted hours (which, by the way, they aren’t open 24/7 like some website postings say they are) are from 12-4, but I was very obviously expected to show up if the doors were still open. If they weren’t willing to help, they should have taken accountability as a business and called me to reschedule my pickup time, because how am I actually supposed to know when you’re open when several online postings say two different things? I had to wait 15 minutes to receive any kind of service (what’s the point of a “ring bell for service” button when you have to ring it 3+ times?). I needed that u-haul that night, and if I hadn’t gotten a phone call back from the kid after I left and caught the bus (which, mind you, indicates to me that they COULD have helped when I needed it but chose not to), I would have been ROYALLY screwed over. When I got back to their shop after receiving a phone call, all of the adults were present, all of a sudden? It just doesn’t make sense. Lastly, this business WILL try to pull one over on you. I selected that I didn’t want to pay for warranty/coverage when I set things up online. After the kid that wasted my time called me back and “figured it out for me”, I was charged for the coverage. It was indicated online that I had no intention to pay for that, yet I was charged for it? It had to have been seen by someone. Of course, I received a refund after confronting them about this issue, but that’s just another thing to worry about. I shouldn’t have had to do that in the first place. Be aware of what you’re paying for and check your receipts, they will try to charge you for things you said you wouldn’t pay for. I am completely dissatisfied with my transaction. Renting with this shop caused me undue mental and emotional hardship. Renting with this shop wasted about 1.5 hours of packing/moving time, which I honestly deserve a refund for. Moving out is already stressful enough. Don’t do business with this family, all they’ll do is make your situation exponentially worse. They will screw you over in a heartbeat without zero regard for you as a customer. ZERO professionalism based on my experience. I am completely dissatisfied with my transaction and will never be wasting my time here “doing business” (if you want to run a business, then ACT like it and STAFF like it!!!) again. I suggest you all do the same. Do not waste your time here, go somewhere else in Cheney or Spokane.
Micaela EOrdered an appliance dolly, got charged for it and never got the dolly.
Ava AAs someone that worked for U-Haul once I would say the entire experience was a disaster. The information for the checking was confusing. The worker had no idea, because "it's all done only now". Even though I have rented since the start of the contactless system this was even more confusing. It sadly would have been faster and easier with the old paper check-out.
Brian BStaff was not helpful in any way. They passed me by as I was backing the trailer into what seemed was the only available spot. After I entered the garage, they then told me I had to park the trailer on the other side of their lot. After I disconneted the trailer and set it down manually, I reentered their establishment and they looked over my paper work. After several concerned looks, they thought I should take the trailer to another lot, outside of the city. They couldn't give me the address that they wanted me to go, but gave general directions. I showed them my documents and the girl behind the counter got real frosty and angry. She said I would have to come back later after she verified the trailer in a coulple of hours. After she handed the papers to me, I showed them to her where the return was supposed to go, and she finally accepted it, but still told me I had to verify it later, as she was having a hard time contacting Uhaul by the phone.
