So much confusion on how to rent me a truck. Can’t do early pick-up, shows up late, reading me all the rules five times; finally called the 800 number Customer Service who couldn’t find my reservation and left me on hold for 20 minutes before I hung up. All said and done, over $100 to move a king mattress from one part of town to another. What a huge waste of money, now I know. When I returned it the guy tried to make me feel bad for being quick with him. Running a dirty carry-out he seems knows nothing about customers, and good luck buddy, with your poor service you really WILL get a shitty customer one day who will rip your head off. I give this whole experience a 2 out of 10. Poor service. Lost reservation, impossible links that go nowhere. You guys can do SO much better. Way too expensive. Let me know if you’d like a Customer Service Training from a professional who has been doing it for over 30 years. You need it. Good luck.

Equipment was fine. Employee at location was not. I told him I needed a physical copy of receipt and he told me I’d have to wait until he checked in the truck. After completed, he told me he doesn’t have a printer. He took a picture of the fuel gauge on an angle, which made it look like I used 1/8 of a tank of gas. I only put 3 miles on the truck. When picture was taken straight on, gas gauge didn’t move. This location has scam written all over it. Do not use this location. Go to an actual Uhaul location
ERIC CI was pleasantly surprised. The chap in the store was very efficient gave me a few tips that helped me out quite a bit. Truck was fine. Drop off very easy, same chap (wish I had got his name) checked the truck and did the final billing. If I need another truck near the University District I’ll be heading back to the pace high carryout.

ARLETTA RDear U-Haul Customer Service, I’m writing to formally dispute and express my frustration over the $25 cleaning fee and $4.50 fuel charge applied to my recent rental. Frankly, I find the cleaning charge to be completely unacceptable. I used the truck for less than three hours to move a few pieces of furniture, and I returned it in the exact same condition it was in when I picked it up—clean and well-kept. I did not leave behind any trash or do anything that would require cleaning. To be charged $25 for nothing is not only unfair, it’s frustrating. I have rented from U-Haul multiple times before and never encountered anything like this. To make matters worse, I was charged $4.50 for one gallon of gas after driving less than 10 miles. That makes no sense. It is very hard to believe the truck used a full gallon over such a short distance, and this charge feels arbitrary and dishonest. It’s not just about the amount—it’s about the principle. I should not have to pay for something I did not cause or use. This experience has left me extremely disappointed in how this location is operating. It feels like I was taken advantage of, and I expect U-Haul to investigate this matter seriously and refund these unfair charges. I’ve always valued U-Haul for its reliability.
