If you have a kid who is stuck driving a car that breaks down on any day that ends in "y" then the U-Haul website had better be one of your quick links. Sure, you can go to your local U-Haul dealers and ask if they have what you need. But the website and the app on my phone lets me know exactly where to find tow dollies, auto transports, box trucks, utility trailers, whatever I need. I have had to make 5 trips to Columbus in the past year, 2-1/2 hours each direction, to haul my kids' cars home. Wrecked, broken-down, and broken-into. U-Haul was there for me. I even bought my own tow dolly, only to find that it needed new tires. It was literally cheaper to rent U-Haul's tow dolly and let THEM store it and maintain it rather than to put tires on mine! What was I thinking? I think the U-Haul guy knows be by name now. Kevin's super nice, too. Makes sure everything is hooked up properly and always wishes me good luck. Now if I could only extend that good luck to my kids and their driving practices.....

I was surprised and happy I could pick up a truck on a Sunday morning for a few hours to move some furniture. I was not very happy with the app when it came to turning the truck in, but that may just be a phone issue of my own. I'll use them again because the truck handled well and aside from the turn in troubles, I had a great experience.

It asks about the tow vehicle, the vehicle to be towed, and then evaluates what my options are and recommends the best fit for my needs. It then told me which local rental places had a tow dolly available and made the whole process SOOOO easy! Great price, pay online, pick up is a breeze, and return is just as easy.
