Get better customer support. We reserved a 26' truck for 2 full days and 1 hour prior to pickup we get notified this isn't available. After calling with the scheduling department all they could do was giving us a 20' truck for 1 day! Their response 'it's the last weekend of the month and we don't have any equipment available, you should've get one earlier'. With the smaller one we had to make 1 extra trip for just a couple of items which would've perfectly fit in the 26' truck and would've saved us from paying for more gas and mileage charge. The response from uhaul rep at a different location 'you pay less for the rental (10$ and get a 50$ guaranteed refund). Which still didn't compensate for the additional fees we had to pay. The stress to find a different truck last minute and then have to stress to get it all done in 1 day vs the original 2 days we booked on top of the regular moving stress was absolutely terrible. After us calling around for almost 2 hours we finally found a location to pick up a 20' truck as on the 50 street location the lady didn't want to rent a truck to is as she was afraid we would keep the truck for longer and put her other customers at risk of getting in the situation we were in, EXCUSE ME! You had over 24 hours to find solutions for those people and we were at this moment already 2 hours past original pickup time. Why do I reserve a truck way in advance if Uhaul is just screwing us over. Get your shit together and treat customers way way way better than you did in our case. The way we've been treated and how uhauls lack of responsibility and basically made their lack of equipment our problem with saying 'good luck finding a truck for the weekend as it's a busy moving weekend' is disrespectful and uncalled for. Uhaul should compensate us for the additional fees we had to pay for mileage and gas due to an additional trip for just a couple of items and for any of the inconvenience we had to get ourself a truck for a decent amount of time to return. Disrespectful and unhelpful in any way during this situation. The person that we ended up picking the truck up was friendly and helpful. Location was very sketchy and the truck had a the motor light on the whole time. Truck wasn't cleaned in the cabin. Dropping off was very strange, they had to call a person and he closed the rental over the phone.

Truck was filled with garbage and smelled like cigarette smoke, truck had less than 1/16th of gas. The clerk at the till didn’t know how to fulfill our uh request. The store also sold lots of drug paraphernalia (crack pipes). Absolutely disgusting store.
Sean TThe app was giving me issues when i went to pick up the truck and the store clerk said he couldn't help because he didnt know anything about the app. The trucks interior was sooooo dirty it was horrible.
Chrystal PKid on the counter didn’t know what to do. Had to call his boss. We had to communicate over the phone.
Remar GThe person at the counter had no clue how to facilitate the rental process. I had to figure it out myself as the store owner was not present. The truck was not filled with gas upon pick up. There was no wash fluid and it needed an oil change.
