I returned it to a tow yard, no one was onsite to take my drop off; I called and was told “drag the trailer up the hill by the rest of them” and was expected to pull the trailer by hand up a hill in mud; was not able to do so and left it the furthest I could get it

I had an appointment at 9:30 am on December 6th 2018. No one was there. I called and the representative stated that they were on a call and would let me know when they got back. They didn’t call until after 10 am. Then when I got the truck, the drivers side door would barely close, the drivers side sun visor fell off on me while I was driving, and there wasn’t any type of ramp to load a washer and dryer. Me and my 10 year old son had the lift the washer and dryer several feet to get them into the truck.

So I made a reservation the night before. The next morning, I was running late. The website claimed that if you signed up for an account, you could rent the truck thru a phone app and never get held up in a line - never have to talk to a person at all. I knew it couldn't be true, but on this occasion, I was praying that it was true. And guess what? It was true. This is the slickest implementation of a web app that really, usefully takes the hassle out of renting a truck. I snapped a couple of cell phone pics of the odometer and gas gauge and off I went - in less than 10 minutes. Kudos to the web team that made this app soooo smooth and so very useful. Now, about the trucks. They have improved that immensely too. I got the biggest - the 26-footer and anyone can drive it. The only thing you have to be careful about is you forget you are not in your usual car, so you have to be careful going around sharp corners. But, hey, I did it and didn't hit anything. The truck was comfy, clean, got 8.8 mpg and road like a dream. I'm considering taking it 300 miles to pick up the contents of a storage shed and bring it back. All around - good job, UHaul.
