The employee was not on location during posted hours and was 30 minutes late for my pick up time. Employee did not show me the truck or car transport and would not allow me to take the transport off for loading, he said it was not possible. Employee did not show me the car transport or how to safely load a car on it. Told me to look it up on YouTube. Employee did not show me the inside cabin or verify truck mileage or fuel gauge level. Employee did not open the deck gate or show me the inside because it was frozen shut. He told me to pour hot water on it when I get home. Employee threatened to cancel my reservation 3 times because I asked questions about the truck and car transport that he did not know the answers for. Employee did not care for my concern about snowy icy conditions, or the fact that I had an appointment I needed to be at but his tardiness caused me to miss it. Employee did not want to be there or be of any assistance. I will never use The Washboard again for Uhaul and I am launching a formal complaint with Uhaul, as well as a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

The young man in charge where we FINALLY got a truck did his job, however he reentered my info and our original cost increased by $74. Now I get to deal with that. This was what we went through on the morning of the move. On our way from Michigan to Indiana to help our daughter move, we were emailed that our original pickup address did not have the truck we needed. We arrived in Fort Wayne only to have to call and be rerouted to a location that wasn’t even open, then we called Uhaul and were rerouted again to a location for pickup where my original payment price increased by $74. Big rip off. Horrible experience. Our rental was received approximately 1-1/2 hours after original pick up time. Never relying on Uhaul again! Because of all this we were unable to return the truck by 9:00am the following morning. My daughter could not get all her belongings in her house before dark and the rain. I hope we aren’t charged for being late! I hope no one else has to be jerked around like this!
Deborah PI was charged for a two day rental and only used the Uhaul truck for four hours. I should have received a refund for the amount I was overcharged on.
