We had booked on line to pick up the u-haul truck in Shelby MT which was 3 blocks from the train station. Which was our only transportation u-haul informed us that there wasn't a truck available in Shelby to pick up because they didn't have a driver to take it there. The closes location was Great Falls MT. My 77 year mother and I were left stranded. Once we found a way to pickup the truck 80 miles away we were given a inferior dangerous truck that broke down in the middle of the trip. We are still waiting for u-haul to reach out to us how to help resolve this situation. My mother and I lives were put in endangerment with u-haul faulty equipment and left stranded out in no where.

It’s not the location that presented any problems. The app was wonky—no options for picking up a truck without speaking with UHaul traffic controllers I called eight times—waited on hold four times and got hung up on all four times when the operator came on. Then tried the call-back option and got disconnected all four times when they finally got on the line. Had to call a local office for a reliable number. Once I spoke with traffic co from and they could direct me to the lock box with the combination, everything went well. Stress on moving day, however, was unwelcome.
