I need a working vehicle I didn't receive a proper vehicle it was GVing shaking issues and the gas pedal wasn't pushing down to move the truck out of the spot i temporarily put my hazards on so I could see what's wrong , then when I couldn't figure it out I tried to drive the car out of the emergency place I was at and I called as soon as I could to get help but car was towed because of where your vehicle stopped working at . My wallet and other personal items where in the vehicle and they told me the next day they would get the car but didn't get it until 4 days later and didn't take the key back from me even though I told them I had it ! They charged me for all these days they left it because they "didn't have staff" and they didn't let me take it out . They instead brought it to a mechanic who said the new truck had no problems which is not what I expected , but anyways I know what happened that day I may not be able to explain how the truck is fine now but that day it stopped working I KNOW it was from the truck not my own doing because I couldn't move it . You guys charged me for the key storage fees/impound fees. The manager tells me because four days later truck has no issues he can't help me . He said someone else will call in 72 hours and 72 hours passes and no one contacted me. They sent me a bill saying if not paid will be in collections by today and you guys have been telling me times on purpose to make the date closer to that date and then you don't even call me ?!! That's not right and breaks my heart because I'm disabled and don't have a lot of money and even if i did I wouldn't pay for something I didn't purposely and willfully cause .Luis Serrano is a very mean person and has no compassion or integrity in his heart and I'm very upset that this issue still hasn't been taking care of , someone please do what's right and amend the bill for charges I do owe .

Well I returned an extra box and a package of wrapping paper and didn't get credited for the wrapping paper, just 2.50 for the box and didn't realize it until I got home. I called and could only handle it by going back to the location which is half an hour away... so that wasn't worth it. So, helpful tip? Maybe make it easier to get my $?

The waiting time can be reduced tremendously if there were more than one representative in the check-in office especially during the weekends when there is a higher demand to rent a U-Haul. We waited in line for more than 30 minutes with only one representative assisting customers.

I was charged double. I rented a oneway truck on Sunday the 10th from Hollywood to San Diego. I dropped the truck off on that same Sunday at the agreed upon location. My bank account shows I was charged: $245.41 on Monday Sept 11. AND $260.65 on Tuesday Sept 12. It's bad enough I couldn't have a rental for one day (I used the truck for about 6 hours) and had to rent it for 2 days but then to be charged twice! Come on Uhaul I've been a multiple times repeat customer you're not the only show in town!!!

The U-Haul Storage Facility on Fletcher Avenue in Atwater Village (Los Angeles) misrepresented what I could fit inside a unit that I reserved ahead of time. I told them that I had a queen size bed to store with headboard, and they said that a 5' x 5' x 7' would easily accommodate my bed. When I brought the bed in a U-Haul van, which I had rented from the U-Haul facility on Hollywood Blvd, it became clear that the 5' x 5' x 7' was too small to fit my bed. Also, the unit they had for me was stacked about 12 feet over another unit. The facility had a movable steel ladder with incredibly steep stairs to load the storage unit. This ladder was ridiculously dangerous, plus the U-Haul staff would not provide us any help with using it. I would have not wanted to use it even if I had the lightest items to store. This ladder would have been impossible to use trying to store my huge and heavy box spring and mattress, even with a team of four assistants. I felt that this U-Haul facility was remiss in finding me a storage unit that would meet my needs, which I described to them by phone. In fact, I felt that I had been shaken down. The manager there then tried to upsell me to a storage unit that was twice the cost of the 5' x 5' x 7' unit I told would be sufficient to store my queen-sized bed. I had no choice but to now immediately find another storage company/facility that could meet my needs. The U-Haul storage company on Fletcher was absolutely unhelpful and unapologetic about the inconvenience and extra costs I would incur. [They also gave me no suggestions about another storage facility I could find.] Now I was on the clock to return the U-Haul van to the Hollywood Blvd. facility with only two more hours to do so; otherwise, I would be charged for a second day's rent for the van. I had no leads on where another storage company and location might be. Now I also would have to pay more to the day laborer I had paid to help me. I don't easily get mad or upset or anxious, but frankly I had felt like U-Haul just f*cked me over. I felt traumatized. My stomach got so upset, I felt like I couldn't complete the move -- that I would have to spend the next two hours on a toilet seat. Fortunately, the day laborer I had hired knew of another storage unit facility in the neighborhood. We raced over there. Not only was their staff entirely helpful and accommodating, they showed me the actual unit I could rent before I signed the paperwork. Plus -- get this -- the unit size was 7' x 7' x 12' (big enough to easily store two queen-size beds), and the monthly rent charge was HALF the cost of the 5' x 5' x 7' unit at the U-Haul Fletcher Blvd. facility. Their unit was in a building with a second story, and the unit was on the second floor, but they had a freight elevator that required no movable steel ladder. I was able to take the bed's headboard, frame, foundation and mattress out of the van and into the unit in about 15 minutes. [By the w

Tell me up front that my 4-hour minimum is actually a maximum too. And advertise fairly. Your ad says $19.99, but by the time you added in all of your fees, it was $50. AND, find parking for your customers.

I had a horrible experience. I ended up having to park on my own at night paying $60, the parking was blocked, not allowing me to return the vehicle at night. I was also not reimbursed for it. Very very bad experience.

Immediately they accused us of damaging the roof of the truck, I explained that was already there and that we had called uhaul to report this after we noticed it, they were not that friendly about it. Also they asked for the damage ticket and I said it was with the paperwork, they said it was not , but it turned out it was. She also did not return my original contract paperwork to help with my insurance claim later !

Your mobile/email check-in is not easy to use and annoying. It was clear the customer associate was pushing for everyone to use the electronic check-in, but again, it's not easy to use on a mobile phone.

I was given a truck with less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Your rep, Jeffrey, informed me that if I brought the truck back with MORE than a 1/4 tank, I would be reimbursed $18. I gassed the truck. I brought it back with much more than a 1/4 tank. But when I brought the truck back, another agent said there was no record of any reimbursement for me. Later, I called the U Haul store to ask Jeffrey what happened but nobody answered the phone so my call was routed to the call center. The call center agent (Rory?) took my message down but nobody has contacted me since then.

I was given a new truck and the key to the truck only to find out after beginning the move in a different location that a padlock was on the door causing us to have to wait 2 hours until it could be removed. Not anybodies at Uhaul individual mistake but little details like this should be on a check list. later, marco
