Make it a more professional U Haul location. The people were nice, but it was not in a very good section of town, the place was a dive and appeared as a night club or cover up drug operation. This is just a feeling; there is no specific evidence regarding the statement. The personnel appeared to be a young family with several children in the facility. Finally, the check out process was completely done with a cell phone. My husband and I are older and do not rely on cell phones and certainly not apps....so I was a bit uncomfortable handing over my phone and/or information to an attendant to get us checked in.

The location didn’t open until 10am. They refused to give me the key to the vehicle I already paid for. Then called the police on me because they were wrong and refused to admit they were at fault. I was embarrassed and it was the worst experience of my life in regards to renting a U-Haul especially when I went out my way to do everything online and avoid these types of issues. The dolly that I paid to use was never on the truck as well.

GILBERT YAbsolutely the worst experience. I arrived a few minutes earlier than my reservation. No one was available at the establishment. Door locked and no response to a knock on the door. Waited 10 minutes and a gentleman walked from the back of the building. I had to ask if he worked there. He said yes, I told him I was there to pick up a truck I had a reservation. He said hold on and went inside to get his phone. While waiting, I received a text from UHaul to follow instructions to complete the rental. I scanned my face and drivers license as instructed. The gentleman could not figure out how to use the app from his end and processed to gave me do the same verification 4 or 5 more time without success. He finally just went inside and a female came out with a UHaul rep on the phone to walk her through the process. By this time I had been there over 35 minutes. It took her another 25 minutes to complete the transaction. These people have no reason to be a representative of UHaul. I received no apology, no thank you no nothing. Absolutely pathetic. You need to have a better process when vetting your agents. I will think long and hard before I use UHaul again.
