We were moving stuff for my parents for a new store they were opening up for 5 days and we got our U-Haul from this store. We had some issues in the beginning that were very stressful, but a guy named chase completely fixed it for us! He went above and beyond to make sure everything was what we needed and I was so grateful! If anything, I would say to double check the app because that was where the problems were, but the staff is perfect!

I was billed twice on my credit card for the rental. and this was after the agent told me I was being billed for only two days. In addition, I was told that the trailer was hardly every rented (only twice in the past six months) and that I could not rent it on a weekly basis. Does this make any financial sense for U haul?

Oil light was going on and off. Stopped and checked oil and found it nearly not visible on dip stick. Added a quart. Still sounded like engine was running rough so might need looking into.

Mechanically the 15' truck worked fine; however it really needs a thorough cleaning of the cab and exterior. Lots of surface grime.

I was charged 7 dollars extra for gas even though i put gas precisely to where the gas gage was when i got the van.. very petty.. I should be refunded ...

Here's the thing... the store itself is great... the staff is friendly and helpful... however, I ordered a 15ft truck for my move on the website... and a 9ft van was what showed up. And considering it's the only uhaul even remotely close, I had to take it... made my move 2x longer than it should've been. So needless to say, I was very frustrated

Lots of issues... 1. There is only 1 location to pick up the truck on Kauai. Kilauea is over one hour drive away from Kalaheo. 2. The rental was not clean or swept out. 3. I thought I was renting for 24 hours but was told I needed to drop it off by 930pm the same day. I dropped it off at about 9:15pm 4. I was billed until 830am the next morning. 5. I was under the false assumption that the gas station in Kilauea would be open at the time I dropped off the van and it wasn't. I then was charged what looks like $6.00/gallon to refill it. Would I recommend renting from uhaul on Kauai? Not a snowballs chance!

I am disappointed that I wanted to rent a trailer but none were available. I also wanted to rent from the Lihue location rather than Kilauea as it is a further distance. Not only was it more time consuming but I feel that it is unfair that I had to pay more since I was charged per mile while I was forced to drive a further distance (extra trips) due to the lack of availability of a trailer and had to pick up from a further location.

make sure equipment in good working order. problems with ignition interlock, sometimes could not insert key, sometimes key would not turn, moving steering wheel helped. windshield washer dry, could not see through windshield in direct sunlight. tire pressure sensor broken. van had not even been swept inside, plenty of red dirt and lava pebbles. overall not a good experience.
